Looks like malaki talaga ang chance na ma hypo pag nagpa surgery or radioactive iodine therapy :( I think I have no choice but to continue my meds nalang plus diet and exercise. Sis @iam.Arianna I am trying to look for hyperthyroid diet plans in the internet. How much weight have you list since you started getting hyper? Iniisip ko rin magpatingin sa nutritionist for the same concern, pero uunahin ko muna third opinion ng endo. Blood test again  :-[ After that explore ko naman acupuncture.

Just found out yesterday that all the women in my family sa mother's side nagka goiter. My lola, titas and my mom had it. Tapos hormonal imbalance din for my sisters and myself.

Hi mga sis, is there a way to reverse yung bulging eyes? this is my problem kasi nakakaconscious! haaay.. i gained weight, about 3 yrs na ata. hindi pa ako nakabalik sa dating timbang ko, i think mahirap lang talaga na bumalik sa dati because of the hormones itself? tapos, ang hirap pag nagpapalpitate. i just stay away sa caffeine when it happens.

Yes sis @cheezcake dapat hyper = weight loss but since I am taking antithyroid medication (methimazole) naging hypo naman kaya I am gaining weight.

Has anyone here experienced stopping medication tapos nag normalize nalang ang thyroid regulation mag isa through diet and exercise? I am really hoping this is possible.

ako sis. almost a year din akong nag-stop ng meds for hypo. then di din ako nagpapa-checkup. but i was shocked when i had my hormones checked this year, normal ang result. akala ko nga messed up na ang hormones ko kasi i wasn't taking any meds tsaka i was experiencing symptoms of hypo. pero i had my hormones checked twice, and all three are within range.

ang ginawa ko lang is mag-try ng kung ano-anong diet. i have an autoimmune condition and mga diet for autoimmunity ang sinubukan ko. i'm not sure if yung yung reason kung bakit nag-normal ang hormones. wala naman akong ibang supplement na tinake.

pag nagpa-RAI therapy ka, hypo talaga sis ang result kasi eventually masisira na ang thyroid gland mo and you won't be able to produce thyroid hormones on your own kaya lifetime gamutan na yon. pero sabi nila hypo is easier to manage than hyper. when i was in hyper phase before, hirap din ako. pero parehong mahirap, mapa-hypo or hyper.

@shinta thanks sis for sharing your experience. Malapit na ako mag give up until I read your post ;) You are very lucky. Did you just suddenly stop taking your meds or did you consult with a doctor muna? I am planning to minimize my dosage (from 20mg to 10mg) after I finish my current round of meds. I'm worried kasi of all the symptoms coming back full force.

^i just stopped taking my med sis, tinamad na kasi akong uminom ng gamot. But I won't recommend doing it without permission from your endo. Baka depende din kasi sa condition. Naka 1 year din akong nagtake ng levothyroxine. Last dosage ko was 25 mcg before I stopped. Andun pa din yung symptoms, there were months when I thought they were getting worse.

Maybe my antibodies are no longer elevated kaya umayos ang thyroid ko. My new endo didn't give me request for anti-tpo so di ko din sure. But if that's the case, maybe diet had something to do with it nga.

Regarding sa diet, you have to determine first what's causing your condition to find what's suitable for you. Eating less processed foods and more organic will help too.

Hello again!

Please ask sa Endo mo and sa OB as well regarding sa condition at plano mo.

Hi! Have a nice day! :)

Then sa ultrasound last Jan 2014 may nakitang bukol sa right thyroid ko. Natakot ako na baka operahan ako wala pa ko savings and wala talaga ko money for the operation. Until now hindi pa ko nagpapa-check up. I'm planning palang next week, good thing may nakita kong endo malapit dito sa Taytay area.

sis, similar case tayo.  my mom and an uncle (father side) both had goiter.  tapos kaming lahat magkakapatid (3 girls, 1 boy) hyperthyroid, then nag RAI, and now all of us are hypo.  sabi ng endo namin, pwede kami pang case study!

@thesweetestgirl08 sis, best to consult with an endo regarding your thyroid problem. They will have to run blood tests para malaman kung ok na talaga hormones mo or not. Some endos prescribe pills but not all. Ako I take methimazole (anti-thyroid)

^In my case mas nahirapan ako nung hyper ako, especially kapag nag pa palpitate ako.  So 2 pa yung tine take ko na gamot, isa for hyper and isa for the heart.

^ same here! Ang hirap ng hyper. Grabe yung tremors. Kahit mag climb lang ng 2 flights of stairs non parang hirap ako. My levels are still fluctuating now but happy that I've moved on from being hyper. People noticed then na mukhang stressed and "pumapayat" daw ako but not in a nice way.

^Isa pa nga yung tremors.  Yung pagpayat nga parang payat ng may sakit.  As in pag nakikita ko kung picture ko nun, hindi ako nagagandahan kahit payat ako. LOL
