hi mga sis, we got married in civil rites last Saturday, 01-08-11.. si Rev. Rayda Tumaliuan ang nag solemnized ng wedding namin.. Reverend/Solemnizing officer ang napili namin kasi we want the specific date to be our anniv e pag judge/mayor e business day dapat..if you can remember sya yung nagkasal ke kris at james but she is super nice pa rin kahit medyo naging controversial sya last year.. birthday nya last Sat pero in-accomodate pa rin nya kami..very simple lang wedding namin, witnessed by 7 of our friends, nakaraos naman..eto yung mga nagastos namin:Marriage License - P 355Ring (Silverworks) - P 475Dress ko (Landmark) - P 220Long Sleeve ni Hubby (Landmark) - P 450Reverend - P 3000.00Token sa Reverend (cake from red ribbon)- P340Token sa mga Witness (cupcakes from brownies unlimited) - P 200.00Reception (Eat all you can sa Tramway) - P 2100P 7140.00 lang nagastos namin but still its memorable.. church wedding will be on May this year.. =)
we had our civil wedding last august. the ceremony and reception was held in a restaurant located in pasig. we had around 30 guests; immediate family members and very close friends only. i bought my white dress sa cinderella (sale pa!). tapos pinalagyan ko ng beads. hubby bought his barong sa divi. we made simple invitation. sabi din namin na semi-formal attire ng guests. btw, meron din pala akong bouquet. kahit na ilang steps lang lalakarin ko from door to the area kung san yun ceremony, naglakad pa din ako meron din kaming emcee (2 friends). nagprepare din kami ng ppt presentation. we also had the traditional cake, wine and dove. kumanta din yung isang friend namin ng one of our favorite love song. tapos si hubby kumanta din - grow old with you. sobrang happy kami, kasi hindi namin naramdaman yung stress at hassle sa pag prepare ng wedding. at tipid pa! yun palang nagkasal sa amin is a Reverend kaya ang ceremony na binigay niya ay similar sa church.
sis gorgeous_brat18 - is it true that if youre going to marry someone who is divorced from the previous marriage eh you cannot have a church wedding because it is not allowed? - yes, dapat talaga annulled yung first marriage with regards sa civil wedding mo, i think pwede naman, pagdating kasi sa NSO ang valid date talaga ng wedding niyo is yung unang civil wedding niyo, kasi yun ang unang mareregister sa kanila.
^His sis,Can i answer from a legal point of view?If your spouse is not a Filipino citizen at the time of his divorce, you can still get married. You just have to present the Divorce Decision (of the court that issued it) to his embassy to get a certificate/affidavit of capacity to get married. If your fiancee was a filipino citizen then changed nationalities to secure a divorce, you just need to present the divorce decision in a court here so that his former marriage will be declared void and then he can marry again. If your spouse however, is filipino (at the time of the divorce), even if he got married and divorced outside the philippines, philippine law will apply. therefore, he cannot marry here because in the eyes of our law, he is still married. take note, simbahan or civil rites, hindi pwede. if may magkasal man, this will give rise to a possible case for bigamy. Kaya ayun, kailangan muna magpa-annul o kaya ipadeclare na null and void yung marriage from the very beginning.I hope that helps!
