Except for Pulp, and The Auteurs, I superhate Britpop. Britpop is an embarrassing era, though I kinda like Oasis now. My prob. with Oasis is they sound just the same from album to album (Beatles sounding), but I like the gallaghers. The first foreign albums I ever bought came from the Britpop era, let's just say I do not cherish most of them nor will they ever be transferred to my mp3 player. I can take 5 tracks from Blur and Manic Street but that's it. For those of you who want to sample Britpop, get the Trainspotting soundtrack. Loads of Britpop goodness in there, but only because the album got Pulp, David Bowie, Iggy Pop and Lou Reed in it.
I also do not like grunge, but I don't mind Alice in Chains and Nirvana (no, not really, but I love Dave Grohl and Foo Fighters). If you're new to grunge, get the "Singles" soundtrack (but contains no Nirvana).

i love love love 90's music. nung time na yun pa-cool pa ako eh, so bands talaga gusto ko: live, matchbox 20 (di pa bano si rob thomas. peace sa fans), third eye blind, verve pipe, blink 182, green day, wallflowers, suede. sa mga yan lang ako aamin.

pero may guilty pleasures din ako: spice girls, all saints, some of the boybands, yung mga uk artists like billie, robbie williams.

ngayon sobrang miss ko yung aqua. haha.

wala na ba yung aqua? i remember their song "turn back time"...yun lang ata ang song nila na mabagal.

ace of base attempted to imitate the abba on that decade..kaya lang di sila nagsucceed...

^ may isa pa silang mabagal na song, i think final single na din nila yun. "we belong to the sea" ang title. maganda din.

nag-disband na sila a few years ago sis, pero nag-reunion concert this year lang ata.  siyempre not like before na.

cute nung music videos nila dati eh. effort talaga.

i think lahat ng scandinavian acts na nag-iinternational ine-expect nilang maging mala ABBA ang success. Sinabi rin nila yun about Roxette eh.  Yun pa pala. Gusto ko din sila.

"turn back time" lang nagustuhan ko sa mga kanta nila. yung iba natatawa ako sa kaweirduhan eh hehe. no offense to fans po ah. ;D

OMD (Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark) yung kumanta ng "If you Leave" pero I think 80's ang music nila. Kasama sa new wave era.

Oh I love Aqua! Faves ko yung Turn Back Time at We Belong to the Sea. Actually, these songs always make me cry pag napapakinggan ko. Don't know why, high school memories I think. They're weird, but hey! They're awesome.

Spice Girls, All Saints (as in lahat ng songs nila memorized ko pa rin til now), Nirvana, Beck, UMD, Boyz II Men, River Maya (yung original), Color It Red, Agaw Agimat (hehe!), Eraserheads. Naku high school ako nito at super fan ako ng grunge, rock, heavy metal. Really! Lahat ng masakit sa tenga. Haha!

Oasis, The Cranberries, Lisa Stanfield (uy naligaw!)

Dami pa pero I can say that 90's music is the best for me. Way much better before maglabasan yung sandamukal na Pinoy bands na masakit sa tenga ang boses at pare-pareho ang tono ng songs. Peace!

I lurrve the 90's era in all aspects. I miss it!

I remember buying my very own first tape, Alanis Morissette. Plus, me and my friends are such huge fans of BSB and Spice Girls. As in super memorize namin lahat ng songs nila and dance steps. We even make videos pa nga eh. ;D

Natuwa ako while reading all your posts kasi it includes my favorites eh and naalala ko tuloy ang nakaraan. Naks. Who wouldn't forget all those dance craze in the 90's. Macarena! Hehe. And the battle of the OPM bands. Eheads rule! Definitely love RNB. Boyz II Men and 112 is on the top of my list too. Sa Rock/Alternative, there's No Doubt. Ang dami pa eh. Nasabi nyo na rin yung mga iba! ;)

omg batibot, meron ako ng casettes niyan. 4 yun isang set. 2 tapes na kanta, tapos 2 tapes ng mga kwento ni kuya bodjie.

ang favorite ko naman na song eh yung "isda-da-da isda". haha.
