I just bought a DS Lite, there are a lot of good games eventhough others are for kiddos. ;D I know you probably have played the games that im going to mention but my current favorites are:

Professor Layton
Super Princess Peach
Yoshi's Island
Strawberry Shortcake
Brain Age
Cooking Mama

I still have a lot of great games (based from reviews) but I haven't tried them out yet.

Nintendogs, I have no idea how to play it. ???

fxy11, have you tried using tweezers to pull the cartridge out? It seems the spring mechanism was locked too much. Did you press the cartridge in too hard when you inserted it?

Oh, and we might as well take this conversation to the DS thread since this is more of a DS issue than a game topic. ;D

I was able to download my 3rd DS(i)Ware game... Mario VS Donkey Kong: Minis March Again!. Cost me 800 Nintendo Points.

This game marks the third installment of this franchise and, more importantly, the first Nintendo DS(i)Ware game to let players design levels from the ground up. Mario will need to dodge obstacles to confront his longtime nemesis Donkey Kong, but this time the players will have full control over where to set traps, enemies and a host of power-ups in the construction zone.

It's kinda like Lemmings. Anybody remember that?

Come to think of it, the first Donkey Kong game also featured Mario and he became popular on that game too. Here's a bit more trivia, Mario used to be called "Jump Man" on that game.

^^ Watch out for Cooking Mama 3 then. ;D

I was lucky enough to receive a new DS games called Legacy of Ys: Books I & II. (Thanks, tita! ;D) Very cool game. It's the remake of the old PC game that was ported to several consoles and now the first 2 has been compiled in one DS game and has a soundtrack CD included. Still finishing Avalon Code (with a little of Mario VS Donkey Kong in-between) so I'll get to that afterwards.

This week, we had a couple of games that came out for the DS but two (2) of those have been recently acquired by me.

  • Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits
Oh yeah! THE reason why I still keep my DS Lite. And... it's the ONLY reason I ever need. ;D The 3rd iteration of the popular portable gaming simulation has this time released a playlist that has been on the radio charts for more than 5 months. The only downside is that it's the US radio, so I'm totally unfamiliar with some of the lineup. The one i got came bundled with a Guitar Grip unlike the last title, Decades, which came out with both bundled and game-only. Right now there are other new features, one of them is "Fan Requests". Where I believe that the better you play, the more fans you garner and when they ask for you to play a song, you better play it well or else lose some fanbase. Also, Modern Hits still retains it's compatibility with the previous 2 GH:OT so anyone can "Rock Out!" using ANY GH:OT cartridge. Nobody is leftout on this Tour. ;D

  • Personal Trainer: Walking
This game actually comes bundled with two "activity meter" pedometers (colored black and white), which count steps and wirelessly sync to the DS, where the data is analyzed and presented. The activity meters can store up to seven days' worth of data before needing to be synced to the DS, which itself can hold up to five years of data. Information for up to four people can be stored on one copy of the game. Nintendo also indicated that the activity meter could be attached to a pet's collar to track the activity of animal companions. No kidding! If you can't find other human to go with you on your vigil, you can take an animal with you instead. That's... kinda sad if you think about it. Hehe! Statistics come in the form of charts that Nintendo claims can reveal "life rhythm" patterns, such as when the most active and sedentary moments of the day are, in order to plan for more or less activity on future days. Days can also be rated, based on the amount of activity, and daily walking goals can also be set to encourage more activity. You can even use Miis (from Wii) to represent you on the records acquired from all the walking you've done. Nice to see my Mii take on a more proactive approach.

I've tried my had already today on how this went and I'm glad I was able to meet my goal though I'm wondering why I took 6K+ steps whilst my companion only had 2.5K steps. I'm thinking maybe on the difference we do our walking. The results really vary for each user.

pompz, I don't recommend changing the standard adapter of the DS(i). Compromise yourself to ensure a long system lifespan rather than using 3rd-party peripherals which can shorten, or worse, end it. I've heard of others who bought 3rd-party autovolt adapters more than once since their quality is never on-par with the original adapter.

I, then, suggest you get a stepdown transformer, maybe, like, 250W or less from ACE Hardware. That's where I got mine then for my DS Lite and Wii.

The DS(i) already has an SD card slot so you don't need any adapters. I believe what you're hearing about is the ability to play any downloaded game on the DS(i) with which I strongly disagree on. Besides, we can't talk any of that in here too.

Data Blitz and/or online sellers from respectable online sites. They give the BEST prices and never screw you over.

Once again, NEVER EVER EVER EVER buy from mall-based stores. I recently bought myself a Wii game from Data Blitz and it only cost me Php2195 and when I saw the same game from Toy Kingdom, it cost Php3999.75. :o What the eff, right? >:( Pardon my french, it was a terrible sight to see.

I'm playing Henry Hatsworth now. It's one of the top games in Game Spot and was just released last March. :)
