im going to enroll my daughter at cambridge next week for their toddler class, she's 2.7 years old. i have an option of 3x a day and everyday. i opted for the thrice a week alng to adjust muna.. is that okay? or baka pag walang pasok every other day eh iyak na naman kada iwan sa school?

and what age ba dapat nursery? i also don't know if by next year june ( 3.4 y.o. by then) eh nursery na ba dapat? or preschool padin?

Hi sis!  My daughter, Zoe, attends the Toddler class at Cambridge Salcedo Village 3x a week.  She's also 2.7 years old.

their sched is either 830 or 1030. puno na the first class eh so we enrolled sa 1030. but then, tulog padin naman daughter ko by 8

i chose the monthly muna then 3x a week, medyo far kasi samin. i paid 7800 (excluding uniforms) pag daily it's 8500 ata.  may option also to pay for semi annual. makes it cheaper

Ok lang to try it 3x a week muna.  Depende din kasi sa bata yan.  Yung eldest ko started with that sched din for a month but eventually ginawa na rin naming everyday since nagenjoy siya sobra sa school.  Very flexible naman sila sa Cambridge, Ms. Emmy is very easy to talk to.

im happy with how they handle kids sa class ng toddler eh. kasi i inquired sa mss also tapos hindi inviting yun feeling hehe i mean feeling ko mas happy ang kids sa cambridge

im thinking of making the classes everyday nadin after maka adjust.

^Yup!  Ako ang naghahatid-sundo.  Mas madami kasi daw yatang kids sa MSS.  Based sa cousin ko (her son studied in both preschools) mas warm ang mga teachers sa Cambridge though academically pareho naman daw ok.  Ako syempre biased sa Cambridge since eldest ko pa lang dun na nagstart, ok naman siya now sa big school niya.

i am not sure kasi if at 3.4 months (my daughter's age by june 2011) eh for nursery na or cambridge still

^We opted for Hope in Manila.  Last June lang siya pumasok, she's 4.4.  Dapat 4.6 kaya lang pumasa naman siya sa entrance kaya pumayag na yung school.

Usually after nursery 2 bago umaalis yung mga students sa Cambridge, para diretso Kinder na sa big school.  But of course it all depends on the parents and the child's capabilities.

Yup, they allow toddlers to start anytime.  The schedule of classes are 8-10am or 1030-1230pm. 

Annual fee for Toddler class (3x a week) is 93k.  5x a week, it's 113k.  We chose the 3x a week para di mabigla.  We also pay monthly, as advised by friends.  Just in case daw magsawa or tamarin, di sayang the payment.  Our monthly fee is 10,420.  Btw, they have different fees per centre.  The reason behind it, I really do not know.

During the 1st day of class, Zoe did not cry.  When the teacher led her to the classroom, sama kaagad cya and she participated in the different activities.  I was so proud of her!  But on the 2nd day, when I took a peek and she saw me, ayun umiyak na and gustong lumabas ng room.  I asked the teacher why and she told me nagkakahawaan daw sometimes.  Her other classmate kasi was also crying that time.  The teacher then allowed me to stay with her in the classroom.  After class, the teacher told me that the 1st 2 weeks are usually the hardest especially for toddlers.  May mga separation anxiety pa.  Eventually, masasanay din and true enough after about 2 weeks or so, ok na si Zoe.

But mind you, medyo heart wrenching when you hear them crying.  The teachers will only allow the parent or yaya to stay with the kid inside the classroom for a few days.  After that, they will ask for the parents and yaya's cooperation to leave the child.  Mas madali kasi sila masasanay.  It's difficult at first, for both the child and the parents.  And I'm speaking based on experience.  It's really hard to hear your child crying and it took a lot of willpower not to barge into the classroom and get her.   

Now, Zoe enjoys going to school.    She's having fun and learning at the same time.

^ Sis, do not worry.  The teachers are trained to handle crying kids.  It's part of growing up.

Maybe it would help if you bring your child to the school when you inquire or do your ocular.  Then, slowly build up the idea of going to school to her.  Say that it's an interesting place, she will meet new friends there, etc. para ma-excite rather than magkaroon ng hesitation.

^^marose is right. it is helpful if the kid is familiar with the place. on my daughter's first day of school, she went inside the classroom without even saying goodbye to me. ako ang nagka-separation anxiety!
