hi sis, im very near blue wave kace, and my son is already 2.5 by june plan ko narin ciang i enroll kahit toddler class lang, would you know how old yung inaacept nila sa toddler class? TIA

i was able to call ISYC and talked to teacher Leah she is very accomodating, sad to say that toddler class is already closed since feb, but they will try to open a new class if theyll get atleast 6 students, so i made a reservation & I was the third one.

reservation fee of P5,000 is non refundable ut deductible frm the last tuition fee payment

my other option is KIds on focus in marikina heights, any comments/feedbacks? TIA

anyway teacher michelle texted me the other day na magkakaroon daw sila ng opening for toddler class 11-1pm ang sched, she will confirm by next week if open na yung enrollment for that class

World of Wonder Preschool in Parañaque.  Good teachers and reasonable tuition fee. Value for money in other words.

hi sis, would you know how much is their current tuition fee? also, what teaching method does the school follow? we live in the better living area and i'm also scouting for a preschool for my 3 1/2 yr old son. thanks 

i haven't had the chance to visit the school talaga, but i think i already inquired with them way back in 2007, but i can't remember the details na.

Here's my review naman of the schools my son has attended

Toddlers Unlimited
1. Location - Salcedo village, Makati
2. Rates - P95k up
3. Teacher: Student Ratio - depends on level. 1:5 for 3 yr old class
4. Activities they do in a day - free play, circle, story time, art, writing time, work tables, romp

5. Facilities
 - quite small classrooms bec of limited space. But exceptional cleanliness and quality toys and materials. Mostly all imported. Aquarium in each classroom.

6. Very good progressive school very DAP in practice. I however, like a mix of some traditional worksheet time. Lots of activities for kids and arts and crafts to enhance creativity.

Appleseed Montessori

1. Location - Salcedo Village, makati
2. Rates - P107k up
3. Teacher: Student Ratio - maximum 1/7; vertical class
4. Activities they do in a day - circle, free choice, centers, special acticity. Art is tues and thurs, PE on fridays

5. Facilities - More or less complete authentic montessori materials. No nonsense atmosphere. I miss the fun cheery atmosphere at Toddlers. But I like the bigger open classroom of Appleseed.

6. Other comments -  better suited for kids who thrive in traditional setting. Lots of worksheets. However, lots of time for free play with montessori materials.I like the grace and courtesy lessons and practical life exercises typical of montessori education. Not many field trips though.

Smart Steps Learning Center

1. Location - Eastwood, Libis

2. Rates - P65k up

3. Teacher: Student Ratio  - depends, usually 1:4 or 5

4. Activities they do in a day-  circle, story, special activity, play area, art, lots of field trips.

5. Facilities - nice clean adequately spaced classrooms. Very neat, Nice imported meaningful educational toys, however not cluttered and distracting for the kids. Secure location.

6. Other comments -  like the fact the owners themselves teach the classes. These owners have masters degrees from the states and UP. Can't beat the tuition fee also. Also very good DAP, progressive curriculum.

any feedback sa childrens little university in samar avenue qc near ABS. We went there kaze kanina and it seems ok naman. My daughter is only 18mos old. Their program for that is more on socializing daw how to wait for your turn, fall in line. Gusto ko kaze na matuto yung daughter ko to socialize kadalasan kaze namamalo siya and nangangat. It's only 3x a week. pinaka affordable yung tuition nila sa lahat ng napag tanungan ko. its only less 30k for freshmen all in na daw except uniform w/c is 360 lang. And my sister inquired din for sophomore 2-3 yrs old. Ganda ng curiculum nila and very detailed talga. they showed us sample of the test paper and how they grade them. One on one test with the teacher and every single letter , number or shape ginegradan ng teacher if she recognized it right, traced it right etc.

Medyo malayo lang samin kaya i need feedback para malaman ko if its worth it na dayuhin ko sila dun. May promo kae sila na if enrol ko daughter ko for next school year free na yung summer class nila na worth 3k. sayang din naman.

My kid went to Appleseed Montessori in Salcedo Village, Makati for one year and I regret even moving to this school. I was expecting a more or less authentic Montessori setup because they seemed to have all the required materials. However, it was more of a traditional school.

My child developed and learned so much more in his toddler class in another well known progressive school than in this montessori school which was not anywhere close to an authentic montessori at all.

All I get at the end of the week are his notebooks with worksheets that were not even age appropriate. (ex. Making a child trace the words father, mother, grandmother, and grandfather) I dont understand why they would ask my child to do that for "Social Studies" Class when they should know very well, from the "Reading and Writing" class that they haven't even gone past learning to trace all the vowels. It doesnt make sense and I think the curriculum is so haphazardly implemented!!!! Then a report card with a checklist 2x/year. Im surprised that they never even gave a short narrative report considering its supposed to be a non-traditional school.

There are much better schools around that area within walking distance. Tuition is even cheaper in some. I feel like I wasted a whole year. He was forced to write on those "notebooks" per "subject" at less than 3 yrs old. Now he even refuses to color his coloring books at home. I believe it has been because of all the forced writing he was asked to perform throughout the school year.

I fear my child has lost all interest in manipulating writing instruments because of being forced to do worksheets that were not even age appropriate in this school. I am just so saddened because he used to love coloring as a toddler. Now he doesn't even like painting with a brush. He even tells me that he hates the alphabet.

my kids went to mothergoose playskool nitong summer. they really love the school. as in, every morning they don't mind waking up if you tell them it's time for school. paguwian naman, pahirapan pauwiin. classes will resume on june 15 pa and they keep on asking when will school open again.

i originally plan on sending them to PMC kaya lang masyadong mabigat yung payment terms nila (80k per sem, no monthly).

yup for kinder 1 sana. eto lang masasabi ko sa mga moms, wala rin po yan sa school, nasa bata at parents din. may pamangkin ako 100k ang tuition niya a year pero sobrang hina ng ulo kahit sobrang ganda ng school hindi pa rin marunong mag write at mag read 5yrs. old na.

3hours lang ang bata sa school and the rest of the day nasa bahay siya dapat talaga i-guide ng parents ang bata. my son is only 3yrs. old he can write, read, knows addition and subtraction, nag computer na marunong gumamit ng mouse at keyboard. can draw faces and animals at favorite niya mag play ng blocks at puzzles.

he learned them mostly at home matiyaga ko kasi siya tinuturuan everyday. bottom line, sa bahay pa din mas madaming matutunan ang bata and us mommies are still the best teacher.

Im happy naman for you sis.  At-home ka ba?

it's really good talaga kung matutukan yun mga bata, para mag-excell sila among others.  However, paano kung you're a working mom, like me, sa gabi pa work ko, and their dad is not here in the Philippines...

stormy: Yup sis nakaka disappoint talaga. Especially since before sobrang enjoy siya in his other school as a toddler. I just moved him out bec I wanted him to socialize more and Appleseed had a vertical class with a lot more students. Hay nako... I regret moving him. Its so important talaga if youre going for a montessori education to really look for an authentic montessori school. And to think ha Appleseed is supposedly an American Montessori Society associate school. Whatever!!!! I researched and found out that authentic montessori does not put a lot of weight on worksheets. Even when I went to PMC halos wala nga sila worksheets. Even Casa Montessori.

Im enrolled in a diff school now and I really hope this works out for us. But so far so good ok naman. Plus theyve been around for so long, even my sister went to that preschool.

 I am not against worksheets since kids need writing skills too in preparation for big school... sana man lang age appropriate. Kasi bale wala talaga. Na trauma lang and frustrate anak ko. He wasn't like that at all before

@marose17, mothergoose in makati. marami nga pala sila branches. i visited their branch in kapitolyo and didn't like the teacher, so kahit sobrang laki ng difference in tuition, i'd rather enroll my kids in their makati branch.

they base the class by age..."barney style" daw sila.. if your child is advance for his age.. bibigyan cya ng activities for his skill level pero ka-interaction pa rin nya kids of the same age (para siguro di cya ma-bully hehe)..

they base the class by age..."barney style" daw sila.. if your child is advance for his age.. bibigyan cya ng activities for his skill level pero ka-interaction pa rin nya kids of the same age (para siguro di cya ma-bully hehe)..

pinag take ko lan son ko ng summer class from ISYC di na kace kami umabot for their regular class puro full na yung slot, thay opened a verticall class however the sched is from 11-1:30 which is my sons sleeping time, so i decided to looked for another school, i enrolled him now in kids on focus as junior nursery, their class will start on june 17 at 8-10:30am, re tuition fee almost the same lang din ng ISYC

My son is 3 years old, my husband & I were planning to enroll him this school year but changed our minds when he showed disinterest sa summer trial class nya nung May.
It was just for a week, pero second day palang parang tinatamad na sya pumasok & hindi pa nya gusto.

Mahirap naman pilitin, so I guess next year nalang namin talaga siya i-enroll to preschool.
