i like Asya's pad thai. tamang tama for me ang nuttiness at sweetness ng sauce. ang weird nga kasi sa Centris, katabi lang ng Asya ang My Thai pero sa Asya pa ako pupunta para mag pad thai

How abut 8Spices in The Veranda (Rob Galleria)?

Hi Sis, I tried 8spices already - been to their other branch in QC as well. The food is good but I think it is too pricey. I think a hole-in the-wall would rate at par in terms of food quality at a much cheaper cost.

On another note,  I want to go food tripping along aguirre st. in BF homes. I happen to passby it last weekend and saw some thai restaurants there so thought of putting it in my agenda. Will keep you posted.

speaking of hole-in-the-walls, S.R. Thai in Katipunan is quite okay.  pretty popular among U.P and ateneo students.

^Uy, andun pa rin ang S.R. Thai? It was one of my favorite restos in katipunan when I was still a student.  It used to be in that building across the street from Mc Donald's. Did they move to a new place?  Now that I'm back in the area for my masters it would be nice to try their food again.

^ Ano ang price points?  Thai food shouldn't be expensive kasi hindi naman ganoon kamahal ang ingredients.

i think d naman ganun kamahal, their pricing is the usual 250-300 per dish. ganyan naman usual pricing ng dish satin with the exception of seafoods.

tried Thai Pan yesterday.

green beef cury- masarap!
pad thai- hindi ako kumakain neto pero yung version nila, type ko!
bagoong rice- my fave!
crispy catfish salad- so so lang.
fish in tamarind sauce- masyado maasim
chicken satay- ok naman but mas masarap yung sa Secret Recipe
thai milk tea- too sweet

I agree na overpriced sa 8 Spices, panget pa service kasi nangmamata yung waitresses nila (Galleria branch). I'm still on the lookout for a good Thai resto.

^yup sis, along Aguirre yung Songkran sa BF. we loved the food there, winner and pad thai nila and the crispy catfish salad

there was this resto in Chiang Mai na kinainan namin. As in, super sarap ng Pad Thai nila. pero dito sa Pinas, Jatujak lang naiisip ko na pinak convenient eh!
