^ Yes, there are good features there.
However,  the "usefulness" factor is say around 60% - IMO -- given that there are certain differences to Phil.living.

Naaliw naman ako sa thread na ito. I am not an OC. Pero I sure want to pick up some of the suggestions you have here.

I'm sure madami pa ako mapupulot na tips once I finished reading them.

Nakakaaliw talaga dito sister kasi madami kang matutunan lalo na kung napa gagawa mo.

Aqua, thanks for the infos now I dont have problems na sa mga maids. they already know what to do di na ko nakikipag singahalan.

Aliw! Talagang may manual ka rin Greenpease. Since wala naman akong yaya at maid downunder (hindi ko afford) at working mum din ako dapat siguro gumawa ako ng manual for myself para ndi ko na kailangan pa i-remember ang mga dapat kong gawin at unahin na ayusin at linisin especially lagi akong pressed for time.

It would be good until I've memorised it by heart with no pressure.

This thread is really an inspiration. Yan ang isang na-mimiss ko sa Pinas more than the food. :D

Sis, apply the "CLEAN AS YOU GO" theory. kahit san pa yan sa sala, kusina, bedroom, bathroom o kahit saan pa. malaking tulong yan sa yo promise.

Trying to do that "clean as you go" kaso ang darling son ko ginugulo ulit pagka-ayos ko. Kaya minsan nakakatamad din kaso parang umiinit ang ulo ko kapag sobrang gulo na ulit especially his toys on the floor.

sis, designate an area where he can play his toys. Like sa room nya.

Para alam nya na pag ginalaw nya yun eh kailangan sauli din nya sa pinagkuhanan after he plays with them.=)

madali lang naman sis eh. Sa kin kasi i did it per floor or area.

Expected Time to starting cleaning sa first floor . How to clean it  and things you want them to use to clean. Like kung me mga requirement ka to use sa mga areas.

I made sure na tagalog ang manual para talagang maintindihan ng mga kasama sa bahay ang gusto mo mangyari.

Here is a sample:

1st floor

Living room and Foyer

so far since Feb 2009 na nagumpisa sila wala pa naman akong nagiging problem.

I would like to acknowledge sis Aquacharly for her inputs. Sa pagbaback read ng mga sinasabi nya. Pinag tagpitagpi ko lang lahat. At so far effective! Thank you sis! ;)

ANGELIEGH -- ikaw yata yung may utang ako na manual?  Sorry, ang dami kasing nangyari in the Family-I-Came-From this year.  And continuing pa episodes namin.

DO NOT GIVE UP!
Start with 1 of 2 things... choose!  :)  yung madali for you to manualize or that area of your life na grrrr na grrr ka...

Take it 1 area at a time... your world will not fall apart if you do not finish your manual in a month or what.

And when I refer to household  "manual" hindi iyong manuals we are used to in our offices/businesses ha?  Simple lang.. kahit na print + cut photo + paste in a clearbook.
I go as far as using colored computer paper.. but not as far as my neighbor Lucy Gomez with her curlicues and stampers.    :)

PM me the area that bugs you most.
I will send you my manual pertaining to that.
Tapos, as GREENPEASE95 said:  tweak it as per your requirements/preferences.

GREENPEASE95 sure is on a roll -- methinks her manuals are soooo much better than mine. I am happy!

Tip ko lang:  You gotta use photos; the more the better coz it is easier for helpers to grasp visuals than to crunch words (kahit Tagalog).  And there is that gray area of interpretation/subjectiveness:  ex. "maayos" to you may be different from their concept of what a "maayos" kitchen is.
So a picture is really worth a thousand words.

Another tip:  Keep it all simple.  Your husband will appreciate, and it may even jingle his bellz (hehe, hwag tayo masyadon serious) to interact with your subtleties and high IQ.  But your helpers will go "huh?" or just give up.

Alam nyo experience ang talagang makakapagbigay sa inyo ng ideas on what you want and how you want your place looks like.

Ako naghands on as in. Nung wala pa akong kasama sa house. i myself did all the cleaning, scrubbing et al. Nag- research on how to make things easier for me. Then saka lang ako nakagawa ng manual for the "kasama sa house".

Yes again to sis aqua, pictures are very helpful for your maids for them to know how you wanted that certain area to look like.

Eto pang isa. Put them all together in one place or in a glass cabinet  para di kalat kalat ang tingin nyo sa house. Take out only the ones you really wanted to use/ display. Take note the more na meron kayong mga maliliit na display eh mas marami kayong aayusin. :)

Sis Aqua >> I will get in touch with you once we transfer to our own House next year. I want everything to the same as is even after 15 years of staying there. Right our house is still manageable pa naman when it comes to cleanliness. By the time we transfer I will want everything to be spotless or else...

LOL.

So gusto ko parang may list ako ng mga gagawin say on weekends, end of the month, quarterly..etc.

We have 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, kitchen, dining and living room. For the kitchen, im not much of a cook so compact yung kitchen sa house. No elaborated set up here. 2 burner (AQUACHARLY, eto yung la germania that i sent you before) then cabinets, fridge, work area, and thats it. How do you organize your cabinets? May mga boxes/containers ba? Are they labeled? Or do u use clear containers na lang? Sabi ko nga, im not much of a cook kaya it would also help if you'll give me a list of simple cookware needs.

Aquacharly: yes ako yung nanghihingi ng manual copy and pics of the setup of your BRs. :D

Sorry mga sis ha. :D

I'm a fan of this thread, I'm partly OC, may days na hindi :) I shop a lot so marami akong kalat everywhere.. But I managed to get some parts of my house back in order, at least for a while..

also, pa-request na rin sis aquacharly ng manual please, I need as much organization tips as I can, mahirap mag-follow through lalo na kung ako lang ang naglilinis, si husband, he's always at work, at pag off naman niya we do gardening together..So the rest of the chores, is all on me.

sis happy_pomelo, I already bought the book by Peter Walsh online, antay ko na lang for delivery.. thanks!

Keep the tips coming! ;)

To avoid clutter, buy only what you really need. Resist the urge to buy single-purpose kitchen gadgets, food more than what your family and household can consume, anik-aniks and what have you.

Give me a couple of days ha -- am just busy helping some of our employees get back on their feet. Yung iba kasi got totally wiped out, well andun ang house pero everything got water-logged.
So, I have to stretch myself to cover up for some people who must attend to their families, atchaka iniintindi ko how we can all help them out.

Now, teka ha "sanitize" ko din my manual ha.
I will just give a portion/sample.
I have security issues kasi eh.
Hindi sa celebrity ako, or mayaman ako it is worth your while (ROI on me isn't promising kasi madami akong relatives na PNP. LOL)

Security issue as in kasi merong mga gusto batuhin ako for being atrevida or too frank?  or, kasi kinwento kita at kinwento ko my true feelings about you?  .... hehe

And no sharing ha!
My Ate says ang dami ko nang share here... eh talagang she is just 1-inch away from making me laglag sa Guadalupe Bridge.
Eh di mas madami gusto akong batuhin?!  at batuhin my sisters?   LOL

I think all my SILs will be 1st to fall in line.  hehe
