Mga sis question po:

Gusto sana ng sister ko i-open account son niya ng BDO's JSC kaya lang nasa abroad sya e, pwede ba ako mag-open account for my nephew? at need pa rin ba birth certificate and id ng sister ko? thanks po. :)

^sis over naman yang bdo branch na yan! Good thing dun as branch ng bod nearest as Amin hindi naman ganyan. I opened an account for my baby din with bdo and they only asked for his birth cert & our marriage cert.

Anyway, we also got our baby a plan with Insular. We got him the I-Sure 10 plan. I got the same thing din kasi so I chose that one for my baby.

@lclanzaderas - sis nice idea to create that account for your child. It's true na bigger and faster talaga mag grow ang money in stocks than in deposits. Prob Ko Lang is I'm not well versed in doing that e but I know my hubby invests a little but he does it through his friend. I guess it's time for me to educate myself on that. Any tips sis on how to start or any good sites I can go to? TIA.

We scheduled a monthly transfer from our account to our son's account, automatic yun.

Matagal ko na balak mag open ng bank account for my 22-month old son.

Mag open na ako ng bank account for him next month. :-)

i'm planning to open an account for my eldest, she's 7 y/o, sa Metrobank (FUN SAVERS CLUB). Aside sa pwede akong magtrasfer ng funds automatically online from my bank (Chinabank), marami syang perks; P50,000 educational trust fund, FREE personal accident insurance, and etc.

Ano yun, for the kid's tuition fees or like ibibigay mo sa kanya pag graduate nya ng college? Iniisip ko kasi eh hindi ko inilagay under the kids names pero my stocks are for them talaga. Like ALI is for child#1, BDO is for child#2 and FPH for child#3 - for their college tuition fees sana.

Prulife UK Investment-linked plan for my daughter. it's life insurance with a savings component. i had it customized na when she reaches college, she'll have money which she could withdraw form the plan's savings and still may matitira pa din for future use. great plan and i totally recommend it.

I need to backread this thread. We are based here in Japan kaso sobrang baba ng interest rates sa bank kaya balak ko pag uwi ng Pinas (hopefully) next year is mai open sya ng bank account or mas maganda ma i invest ang pera nya. Syempre gusto kong maiwasan iyong biglang mawawala na lang ang pera nya and all that (katulad doon sa Legacy)...

I don't have a separate account in her name. I save for her. Maybe when she's older, I'll open a TD account for her.

OK kaya mag open ng BPI Maxi Saver for baby? Anyone tried this? May age limit kaya?

:) I plan din to put her money in multiple areas hindi nasa iisang bank lang.

Yung son namin may Sun Life na Educational Plan. Kinuha ng mom-in-law ko yun as a gift to all her apos kasi. First 5 years siya magbabayad then kami na magtutuloy. Kaigihan dun, we could transfer money anytime thru our BPI accounts kung may savings kami ni hubby per month.

After 1 month we opened him BDO junior savings. By the time na mag seven years old na sya pwede na nya manage.
