Do you lend your books?

Yes though I sometimes choose not to. I don't know how many books yung hindi na kami nagkita ulit.

Yes, I do lend my books but only to those whom I know would take good care and gives it back also after they finish reading them.

Yes I do. May mga ilan ilan nadin na di bumabalik saakin. Di naman ako mahilig mag ulit so okay lang. Medyo malapit lang sa puso ko yung mga Salman Rushdie ko and George Orwell. Fortunately di naman nila fan yung friends ko. Lagi nahihiram mga Coelho books ko kumpleto ko kasi books niya dati. May ilan ilan nading di bumalik pero ok lang matagal naman na akong move on sakanya.

yup natutuwa kasi ako dahil after nila basahin nagiging addicted na rin sila sa mga fave authors ko kaso sobrang dependent na sila sa akin at nanghihiram na lang

hindi.. sa bestfriend ko lang na sure ako ibabalik.. naku kung pwede lang mag issue ng borrowers card sa iba, ginawa ko na. books are my investments.

 sa mga close friends ko lang, na alam kong nagsosoli. sa iba, a big NO talaga. nakalagay nga sa book shelves ko, " sorry but i dont lend my books and mags."  dun pa lang, mahihiya na silang mag borrow. sa lahat kasi nang ayaw ko, yung papahiramin mo ng books mo tapos malalaman mo, ipapahiram din sa iba!  ayoko nang ganon.

Aish! I tried again, lent a book to a "friend" -- matuto daw akong magtiwala sa human race. Up til now hindi ko pa rin makuha sa kanya. Grabe! Kung 5-6 yun siguro napagpatayo nako ng (maliit) na bahay. Gawa sa bato. Kumpleto palitada. Inside and out. Fully furnished.

I lent once or twice, okay naman pa rin yung book pagbalik. Pero I still don't trust even my friends with my books. Baka kung ano mangyari eh - matupi yung cover, mabasa yung pages etc.

Yes, when I was living in a boarding with friends. Pag malayo ang bahay ng manghihiram, NO. Chances are, hindi na maibabalik. I lend some of my books to my nieces but with strict instructions not to lend my books to their friends or else they can't borrow anymore. If anyone of them lost a book, hindi nila pwedeng bayaran ang price noong nawalang book. They  have to replace it with the same title. I give them bookmarks to use - ayoko ng tupi, iniipitan ng pen or anything makapal, ayoko ng tinutupi ang pages.

NO, ayaw ko kasi nalulukot or may tupi sa mga books ko, one time kasi nagpahiram ako, parang binagyo yung libro, nakakadisappoint lang..iningatan mo yung libro tapos parang ganun lang gagawin ng friends mo..

No I don't do that. Call me madamot and everything pero I learned from previous experience that those who love to borrow books do not return it or no intention of really giving it back to you. Siguro nung HS ako magpapahiram ako. Not now, buti sana kung piso lang ang libro eh yung brand new books would cost around 300++. Hindi sila sinuswerte para ipahiram ko lang mga books ko ng ganun ganun lang tapos pagbalik pa sayo sira sira... OC pa naman ako sa books.

pero sa mga friends,they know that already na sobrang maselan ako when it comes to taking care of my books.

I only allow them to be borrowed by friends. I have a friend/office mate who borrowed my Anne Frank book last year. Up to know, she has not returned it yet. I really want her to return it without me reminding her
