Do you lend your books?

i used to. but sad to say madaming magaling humiram pero hindi marunong ingatan. nung inabot ko as good as new pero nung binalik (pahirapan pa sa pagsoli) may gusot na, may tuklap tapos tinutupi pa as mark!  kaya ngayon sobrang pili nalang kanino ako nagpapahiram.

Ako rin I used to lend my books kaso years bago ibalik tapos yung iba hindi nahihiya may sira na pag binalik. Hindi man lang ingatan. Kaso ngayon hindi na rin ako makapag pahiram kahit gusto ko kasi Ebooks na lang binibili ko.

ganyan talaga. now i treat books like money - only lend something that you're prepared to never see again.

kasi it happens even to the best of our friends. the last book i lent was to a very good friend. it was a book that i have already outgrown, so hindi ako natakot. so tama hinala ko, he never returned it. fast forward 10 plus years, i got to talk to him again (he moved to the US). natatawa pa ata when i mentioned it - hindi ko hinihingi, biniro ko lang. he gave the book to his sister because she wanted to learn the guitar. of course, principle wise, mali.

since ganun ang tao, i simply don't lend na. dati when i wasn't strict about copyright ek ek, ako pa mag offer, "if you really want it, i'll have it copied for you." mas pinagtitiwalaan ko pa yung suki kong nagcocopy. hehe. sympre business din yun at lagi ako nagpapacopya.

hirap kasi noon, hindi pa open ang economy. the books i had were all ordered from the US. some were even in manuscript form, yung tipong pumayag yung author na bili ako ng copya bago niya ipadala sa publishing house at i print.

Depends. More often than not, I dont. I consider the authors as artists and books they published are their masterpiece. Who cares if my room is filled with old books. I have ways to keep them.

Nope hehe  sabi nila madamot ako, pero maalaga kasi ako sa books gusto ko ako lang humahawak.

Takot ako magpahiram ng libro ko. Sa pinagkakatiwalaan lang ako nagpapahiram. If hihiramin man, then naglalagay ako ng sticky notes sa front page saying,"Bawal ipahiram sa iba." at kung ano ano pa. May plastic cover mga books ko kaya may sinisingit akong tag na andun yung name, contact number at address ko. Mahirap na kapag walang bilin sa hiniraman.

Yung mga super-favorites ko, i don't lend.
Other than those, I lend. Marami na kasi ako na-experience na hindi nagbabalik after pahiramin ng books.

^^ same here! they don't tend to care for the books like i do kaya no-no to lending na. they'd just liked to read but they are not "booklovers", ooppss nag-judge agad ako! hahaha!

No, I don't lend it na to anyone. dalang dala na talaga ako e, tatlong beses na nagpahiram ako hindi na isinoli. merun naman nagsoli nga pero lasog lasog na yung book at may drawings pa pinalaro sa bata sakanila. yung tipong ang ganda ng pagkaka cover mo sa bawat books na nabibili mo tapos lasog lasog pagka nakabalik na sayo. kaya nope, hindi nako nagpapahiram
