BUT I put a sticky note on it saying:

Use a bookmark
Please take care of this book
Don't spill anything on it
Hold with clean hands 

I know the last one is absurd but I hate seeing the sides all brownish and dirty looking kasi madumi kamay nung nagbabasa. Especially pag collector's item yung book.

Im not madamot naman. Pero nakita naman nila na almost bookstore condition yung book ko tapos bara-bara kung gamitin.

If I don't feel like lending my book, I say its with my brother or my SIL. Wala lang. Hehe! 

For regular books, so so lang ako. Kahit 1 month mawala, ayos lang. Basta makabalik.

most of my books, pag ka basa ko, pinamimigay ko na. . .  hindi talaga kasi ako nagcocollect ng books e. pero there are those na talagang kinekeep ko kasi i always go back to it, yun never ko pinahihiram.

Before, when I was in college, hindi ako nagpapahiram ng books at talagang collect ako. Kung may super love ako na book, like yung Unbearable Lightness of Being, lahat ng klase ng covers, bumili ako.

Pero ngayon, I just sell them all sa paluging price, at pinahihiram ko (na alam kong hindi na masosoli), at pinamimigay ko na.

Ang dami pa ngang nabaha.. sana pinamigay ko na lang muna lahat.

ebook kasi gamit ko when reading.. yung book for collection..

Before I did but hindi sinuli eh, so that's it. I can lend my books to one person lang talaga. Ang iba kung gustong basahin yung books ko especially my fave authors and my collections, kailangan sa bahay lang at hindi yung e-exit sa bahay. I dont care what they say, madamot ako in regards with my precious books. I'm like this now because of experience. I have books I bought brand new pa, d na nabalik sa akin and if ask about the story d din nabasa. Haayyy naku, kakainis talaga!!!

Only to those whom I know will take care of my book. Maingat kasia ko sa libro. Lahat naka-plastic cover. I also hate it when nagkaka-fold yung bridge.

Bad trip kasi nung high school, nagpahiram ako ng new na book (uso pa noon ang Chicken Soup... hehe). Pagbalik sakin may folds na yung bridge, at higit sa lahat, may food stains(!) yung ilang pages. Simula noon, namimili na ako ng pinahihiraman.

With hubby's books, nadismaya ako when I got hold of it kasi sobrang ard to find yung mga libro niya pero hindi inalagaan. Halos lahat ni-restore ko. As in yung covers, inayos ko para maging matigas ulit at hindi likot ang itsura; i carefully glued the loose pages; at nilimit ko na rin ang mga nanghihiram sa kaniya...at nililista ko kung sino nanghiram....kasi may hindi nagsosoli. Hmp.

Hindi ito pagdadamot. It's taking care of what you think is precious to you.

I used to! Until I found the books I lent, never made it back. I don't lend those very important to me like Harry Potter, Twilight Saga, Paulo Coelho, Francine Pascal novels.

Sasabihin ko sana I do, kaso nung naisip ko kung sino yung mga pinahihirapan ko, relatives lang pala. As in yung madali kong makakausap at masasabihan na ibalik yung books kung kelangan ko na ulet. Kapag friends na bihira ko na makita, hesitant ako kasi minsan ako pa yung kukuha ng book sa kanila. Kaya maigi magdamot na lang! hahaha, ang bad ko.

as a general rule, no. hehe... i'm afraid those who will borrow my books will not take care of them the way i do... no creases on the spine, no folding, dents, stains, or any marks.

my very first post ..anyway

we have a mini-library in the officce where you can bring your books for others to borrow. i've borrowed a couple of books from there and would want to share mine with the others too. BUT, knowing that others won't take care of the books made me decide against it.

i can only lend my books without hesitation to friends who love books, collect books, and value books

naalala ko tuloy nung college, may hiniram akong books from a friend (Making Out series by Katherine Applegate), unfortunately binaha kami. nadamay yung books nya, nahiya naman akong ibalik yung books na damaged na, yung lower parts ng book nabasa kasi, so umalsa at hindi na pantay. so pinaltan ko na lang. i kept the damaged books na lang.

No because it would be a miracle if someone remembered returning it back to me. I always have to buy a second copy because the person to whom I lent the book didn't returned it. The bad part is that some of my books are hard to find.

I lent my HP5 to a classmate in college and she lost the book!  It was a hardbound copy.

I don't usually lend out my books, because one time, I let my colleague borrow a book, ang tagal bago naibalik lol and it looks like it did travel a million miles when I got it back (hardly recognized it) lol, I too have the tendency to be OC when it comes to my book collection. Kaya pinagiisipan ko talaga muna bago ko pahiram, coz I have bad experience na for lending it out.
