Do you lend your books?

yes i lend my books, lahat kasi ng books ko bigay lang ng sister ko. ewan ko lang kung magpapahiram pa rin ako kapag pera ko na pinambili ko sa books na meron ako, totoo naman kasi na hindi bumabalik kadalasan. hehe.

Yung twilight saga ko with strict orders not to lend it to anyone except for my sister. OC ako sa mga favorite books ko eh.

i lend my books only among members of the nuclear family, but with others, hell no. i treat my books with care, nadala na ako before nagpahiram ako ng books pagbalik sa akin nangitim na pages with dust and wrinkled na yung edges ng books.

naku, i only lend books to my closest friends and to those na alam ko who will take care of the books. i don't like kasi my books to have folded pages, yong bound nia halatang hundred times na binasa. hehe. i want it to look as new as ever kahit sabihin mo na sa used book na sia nabili, hehe.  OA talaga pero i don't know why I am like that with my books.

naku, no... i don't know why but i love my books and feel protective of them so dati nung nagpapahiram pa ko and then wala sa kin, uneasy yung feeling... ayoko pati noon yung pinahiram ko sa isa then mapupunta na sa iba dahil hiniram sa kanya... so i learned my lesson... now, pag ako may gusto na book, i buy my own, hindi din ako at ease na hihiramin yung book because if i like it, i would buy it din naman... lalo na harry potter, lord of the rings and twilight saga and my coelho books no talaga... except my sister (i always encourage her to read that's why... e now interested sha sa twilight books so i lent her the boxed set but with strict instructions not to bring it elsewhere (sa bahay lang) and not to lend it to anyone else, love ko twilight saga kasi gift ni hubby yun, pinaghirapan nya hanapin  ) and hubby kasi kasama ko naman hubby always e hehe.

Well not really, I let my relatives borrow my dvds but not my books. Anyone who lives at home, wala naman akong magagawa if they get my book, pero ayaw kong nilalabas mahirap na.

No!!!! I'm not selfish, if a friend wants the same book... I'll gladly buy them one but no way I'm lending mine.

A book is sacred to me. I learned it from 1st grade, those where the last years of my book torturing, my aunt told me upon seeing my all bent up books, falling pages and stuff... that if a book could talk, it will tell me to start taking care of it. She said that we get a lot from books and the only thing it wants in return is to be taken care of. After that, I've never once bent a page of a book again.

It's personal. I share intimate moments with my characters and that experience is for me and the book to share alone. I can't even read a book that's not mine. I have to pay for the book before I can totally enjoy it. That's how it is to me.

Finally, I know that the love I have for my collection is not the same for any other person. And crazy as it may sound, I don't want them to feel neglected.

When I'm done reading a book, I don't really mind lending it, even if I'm almost certain it will never get returned. I'm done with the book anyway, I have already learned what I can learn from it. But if the book is a favorite, I do not lend it to anyone, not even to my closest friends.

I did, during high school days. Some were never returned, though. I learned my lesson after that. Bec I treasure the books that I buy, I only lend books to those people I know who will be able to return it.

i do. it's fun kasi to be able to talk about this book that you're crazy about with your friend. there was this thing nga once na super nagustuhan ng kabarkada ko yung book that she lends it to all of us so that we'll know the great story, that was five people you'll meet in heaven.
