naku mga sis.. been an IBmer for 1 year and hindi naging maganda separation namen ng IBM daksh. OT pay was never given, to think na almost 50 hours of OT un.. almost lahat ng employees nagkaroon ng problem with their salary na hindi nababayaran lahat. Tapos sabihin nila na kame pa may utang sa kumpanya nila. I never bothered to get my COE or backpay.. Sa pagkakaalam ko tambak na ng kaso ang kumpanya na ito sa DOLE.

^Is Daksh a callcenter? May 2 pa yatang sub-group ang IBM, Business & Solutions. I hope hindi naman sila katulad ng naranasan ninyo kasi I have friends there. Sa business daw may OT pay tsaka medyo mas malaki yata comp & ben nila compared to Solutions.

may i ask ano yung compensation package sa IBM?  Not necessarily the salary figure, but the benefits, bonuses, allowances, etc. May din ba HMO na covered ang dependents?  Thanks.

yep, BPO poh ang daksh.. depende din talaga sa band level yung compensation and OT rate.

Tapos bago mo makuha yung COE pati backpay mo need mo pa maghintay ng more than 6 months. bibigyan ka nila ng number kung saan ka pwede magfollow up pero wala naman sasagot. Never ko nang ire2commend ang IBM dahil sa mga naranasan ko before, di ko lang din sure kung okay din sa ibang subsidiaries ng IBM.

Up until now may mga friends ako na may mga pending na kaso sa dole against daksh.

i think need nila kulitan ang payroll regarding their backpay.. yup sobrang tagal ng process sa daksh
as in ako 3 months before ko makuha backpay ko..
but in other IBM subsidiaries, feeling ko okay ang processs nila.

hello mga sis.. i am very new with the IT Industry dahil I'm a finance graduate and my experience is with banks. I had my pre-employment exam with IBM in Eastwood last Oct 29. Fortunately, nakapasa ako sa exam and initial interview, they told me to wait for a call which is the second interview and I had it last November 7 then the following day I received a call again scheduling me for the final interview with the hiring manager in UP-Ayala technohub on the same day. And today they called me to tell me that I passed the final interview. They ask me to visit the HR office on Tuesday for the contract signing and all. My question is kung usually how much ang rates for a procurement operations specialist? very new talaga ang job offer sa akin. Maganda ba ang benefits ng IBM? is it possible kaya na makahingi ako ng draft ng contract beforhand? like on Monday? during the interview kasi lagi lang tinatanong ang salary expectation ko but never dinuscuss ang salary offer.

2 weeks pa lang ako sa IBM UP Tech and may new hire sa team  namin  na galing din sa bank and nagshift ng career sa IBM  and as far as I know hindi ganun kataas ang band level na binigay sa kanya but still inaccept nya pa rin ang offer because of career growths and opportunities. Ok ang benefits sa IBM and marami ka talaga matututunan. I'm very happy on what I'am now.

sis Dhee-Dhee I was backreading on this post and sorry if this may be dated but I don't agree at all that IBM just leaves you once you are onboard "bahala na". That is not true at all. I think you need to talk to your manage and understand how your organization is structured.

I am also with IBM, worked for 3 years, resigned and rejoined. Cumulatively I have been with IBM for 7 years and I am still loving it. IBM has invested in my trainings and global certifications. In terms of career development, IBM has been very supportive as well. In my current project I now have a global role, which is something that I have always wanted. My managers have been very flexible in terms of my career aspirations linked in with my family needs.

Are you with ISD or under GPS? When you mention REM and RDM it led me to think that you are under ISD and yes, there is no need for REMs to travel onsite, why? There's no business need, they are not involved with the project itself.

I myself have traveled extensively to the point I no longer want to travel. My brother who was also with IBM for a time was sent to Europe for 6 months for training.

Take a look at what you want to achieve in your career, you may be in the wrong business unit.

^bakit sis mas galante ba sa onshore ang GPS kesa sa ISD? In terms of leaves? totoo bang bawal mag sl or vl dyan? kung gagamitin mo yung sl mo or vl like example ng vl ka ng 2 days. Dapat mag ot ka rin ng 16 hours?

^depends on the client. If the client is willing to pay for resources to travel onshore, then good and well. But if the client is not willing to pay, then no. UNLESS you are part of a deal team or any other revenue generating role.

Are you referring to GPS? There is no such ruling that you can't take a VL or SL, everyone is entitled to 15 VLs and 15 SLs. If you are on leave for more than 2 days on SL then you need to present a med cert (which is standard naman). Of course the length of your VL will depend on the business unit/team and how long they can afford you to go on leave.

I personally take my VLs for 2-4 weeks straight.

Sis khriseeee, when I mentioned na parang may "bahala na" system, I was actually referring to processes (mostly HR concerns) and observation ko lang naman yun. I'd say you are lucky kung hindi mo nafeel yung ganun after mo ma-hire or ma rehire. Pwedeng nasanay lang din ako sa previous employer ko, may site kasi dun where you can ask questions. Naexperience din ito ng friend ko na nahire recently and ng isa ko pang kateam, ganun din ang say nila. Yung PeM nga nung isa kong kakilala never pa nyang nakita which is nakakagulat dahil sa first day mo (after NEO), you're supposed to meet your PeM diba. There was also a time na may pasok pala sila ng holiday and since new hire sya, hindi nya alam and walang nagsabi sa kanyang client or manager, nagulat nalang sya nung nalaman nya.. mga ganung bagay lang naman.

Sounds like there's an issue with your people manager, any decent manager will onboard a newhire with team norms and expectation setting. in our team there is a documented onboarding process after you have completed NEO.

Are you with ISD or GPS? Kasi with GPS there's the AskMDC HR email you can route HR concerns/queries to.

hi girls! i've been reading this thread about ibm becoz i have an upcoming interview on monday in their ayala technohub office. im a nurse and ive worked in a gov't hospital for several years pero contractual lang and so small ang salary. ive worked also at hinduja global solutions for 5 months as a healthcare associate pero npagod ako kakabyahe because it's 10 kms away from my home. so when ibm called me na may interview daw ako sa technohub and its near my place, parang gsto ko na din magwork ulit sa call center. can someone pls tell me more about the culture in ibm? the bosses and the salary pakage? kasi financial account ako, ang salary ko sa hinduja i\was 16k basic, [textspeak!] pa [textspeak!] non taxable allowance.. i will appreciate ur reply girls and it would alleviate my hesitations., salamat! =)

^meron naman oppurtunities for accountants sis. with regards to travel, not sure. it usually depends sa projects.

Having a chance to travel depends on the project you will be assigned. I'm sure this will be discuss during interview with the HR or hiring manager.
