Chinese Schools (preschool,primary and HS)

I studied at merry angels school during preschool days, tama si sis sweet_paige, malakas sila manghingi ng donations, since panahon ko pa humihingi na sila ng donations for new building, ngayon, anak ko na mag-aaral sa merry angels, wala parin yung new building but they are still asking for donations. and every time you donate an amount, they will post it daw sa bulletin board kung sino-sino ang nagdonate and how much.

Ok naman sa Cambridge Binondo, kung 2 years old anak mo, nasa toddler class na siya, Teacher Val is so adorable. I opt na mag aral anak ko dito than Merry Angels, kasi masyadong traditional ang Merry Angels, and heard na malakas manghingi ng donation   Kaso, daming activities sa Cambridge, which is okay din naman.

Hello everyone,

Kindly give me an idea (ballpark figure) on tuition rates of the following schools (Grade 1 level):

St. Jude
Jubilee
Grace Christian
Makati Hope Christian

Also, are they strict with their age requirements?  My son is turning 5 this June but is also an incoming PREP already this SY in the pre-school he's currently enrolled in.  We just don't want him repeating a year level unnecessarily.

me, too, mga sis.  I am torn between the following for my turning 3 year old son.

apples and oranges D. Tuazon
cambridge Banawe
mind specialists D. tuazon

i have already inquired in each of them, but i would like some opinions sana regarding their pros & cons, like where my son would enhance his skills better, yung effectivity ng chinese method of teaching, etc.  wala kasi ako mapagtanungan na kakilala na talagang nag pa aral na from each of these schools, merong iba but not from these branches.

and do we have any other chinese preschools near the area?  Itong apat kasing ito ang medyo malapit sa amin. Baka meron pang iba that i am not aware pa.

^ Ok sa Pace Academy - Sgt Rivera.  Yung method of teaching nya ndi puro memorization esp the chinese lessons.  They'll learn how to communicate in chinese. ex. after teaching the terms apple, orange, etc., it will be followed up by questions like, what do you want to eat?  Is she eating grapes? (habang me pinapakita na pictures so that the child would know how to answer.)

Max students is 24/class.  This is with an hour a day of 1 teacher : 3-4 students.  So pagdating sa bahay ng kids e review na lang talaga kasi natutukan na yun bata sa school.  Tuition fee is also reasonable.  Nasa 49k/yr last school year.

Rivera nga  pala ang Pace.    Dun ba nagaaral kid mo? ilang hours ang class for the preschool level? incorporated ba ang chinese sa english or separate time yung chinese class? ano ang mode of teaching nila? traditional, progressive or mixed? thanks a lot.

^ pero sis, i heard na ang ICA and Xavier eh may addtl subject lang ng chinese class? hindi daw yung katulad ng mga traditional chinese school na may AM and PM class for English and Chinese daw?

Both ICA and Xavier, integrated ang chinese lesson sa english nila.  That's what i know kasi may friend ako na nagturo ng chinese sa Xavier noon but now i'm not sure kung ganon parin.

yup.  my boys study at pace.  3 hours class nila.  separate time for chinese & english classes.  meron na computer class by kinder 1.  i think mix ng traditional & progressive.  very personalized ang dating.  yun directress kilala mga students.  i think para syang uno high school in the making.  konti [textspeak!] school population pero me quality.

I enrolled my 2yrs old son at Apples and Oranges, D. Tuazon summer class. It will start on April 13. It will be his first time to attend school. Actually, we are choosing between Willow Tree at Sta. Catalina and Apples and Oranges at D. Tuazon. I let my son attend the trial class at both preschools.  I find Apples better, so we enrolled him for summer class. We plan to enroll him in regular preschool class this coming school year. 

Does anybody here knows CATERPILLAR SCHOOL? What can you say about it? It will be walking distance from our new home. We plan to check out the school next week.

We also plan to enroll our son at Xavier when his of age to attend Nursery. What can you say about kids studying at Xavier?

i enrolled my 2yrs old son at apples and oranges d. tuazon summer class... it will start on april 13. first time nya mag-aaral... actually we chose between willow tree at sta. catalina and apples and oranges at d. tuazon... nag-trial class anak ko at both preschools.  i find apples better, so we enrolled him for summer class... balak namin ituloy na sya sa regular preschool class this coming school year. and we are moving to san juan next week...

does anybody here knows CATERPILLAR SCHOOL? what can you say about it? kasi it's walking distance from our new home. we plan to check out the school next week...

we also plan to enroll our son at Xavier pag nursery age na sya... What can you say about kids studying at Xavier? Ok ba sila, ugali wise? I have no idea about Xavier kids kasi... puro conyo ba? or elitista? kasi we are not rich and worry ko baka maging kawawa anak ko pag di ko kayang ibigay ang mga gadgets na meron mga classmates nya.

my hubby is a xavierian and i would say na he can get along with all kinds of people...as in ALL...may they be rich, poor or middle class.  madaling makibagay and mag-adjust.  he has good leadership skills and has a way with words. 

xavier is a very good school and we plan to send our son there as well...siyempre gusto ng tatay dun din sa school niya magaaral son niya

P5k summer toddler class from april 13-may 15. 9-11am. M-F.

for this coming school year. P73k ang tuition ng toddler class (honey dews) for 2.3-3.5 yrs old. P5k ang reservation fee, then pwedeng 3 installment payments. includes everything the student needs in class except snacks and uniforms.

di pa ako nagpareserve for regular class... try ko muna summer class nila. gusto ko rin check out other preschools eh. like Caterpillar School near Santolan, that's where we will be moving soon, that's why i am looking for a school that's near. and walking distance lang ang Caterpillar School.  according to them, their graduates goes to ICA and Xavier.

hi michico, diba maluho mga kids sa Xavier? i was just worried baka humingi sa akin ng mga branded things and latest gadgets ang anak ko sa sunod. I don't plan to give him everything his classmates has, baka mamulubi ako. hehe.

may fraternity ba sa Xavier? and puro rich lang ba nag-aaral dun?
