mga sis, we're planning to go to dagupan this coming april for the bangus festival...it will be our first time to witness this event.  any inputs/recommendations (on when is the best time to go, where to stay and where to eat, things to prepare, etc.) is very much appreciated.  TIA

hi mga sis! we've never been to hundred islands. hubby wants to go this holyweek. problem is, hindi namin alam where to stay. i know they have tons of resorts everywhere including bolinao (which im not sure how far from hundred islands hehe). but we will be driving so ok lang kahit hindi right smack in alaminos yung resort.

anyway, here's my problem. we wanted a secluded resort. yung hindi madaming tao kahit holiday ang punta namin. budget is not a problem as long as the place will deliver. we will be celebrating our 2nd year anniversary end of march. kaso holyweek lang kami pwedeng umalis. we want peace and quiet sana. thanks in advance.

sis maika14, if you will be driving from hundred islands, alaminos to bolinao or from bolinao to there, it would take 1hr siguro, excluding the boat ride sis ha. kasi you will park your car sa sakayan ng boat if ever you decided to book in a nice hotel in bolinao like puerto del sol if ever.

may mga hotels din near the boat area (hindi ko maalala term nila dito, port or something)... pero knowing na holiday season to possible na ma tao to. ang kinaganda lang dito is you will be parking your car inside the compound of the hotel, then walk nalang sakay boatride.

the boat ride would depend which island you prefer. kasi the well known islands there are for sure madami tao din if holiday. we don't usually go there actually kahit nicer yung island than the others. same reason, so nag papadala kami sa boat sa island na kami lang nga family & friends ko. dala lang namin yung lahat ng gamit and food, drinks, water that we need for the whole day of stay there. then uwi na by sunset.  the last time we went there, we stayed in scout island.

if you really want to have your own place talaga, why not try the for rent place in the island mismo? eto yung ginamit and pinatayo ng time ng pinoy big brother. 2yrs ago payata last punta ko dun, around 10k a night.

another option sis is, book 2nights maybe in one of the hotels in alaminos para ma enjoy mo yung hundred islands. then after that, go to bolinao stay there maybe 2-3 more nights. then ikot na din kayo dun sa bolinao.

thanks sis for the info. im still not dropping the idea of pangasinan. kung hindi ako makakabili ng reasonable ticket to puerto princesa for those days, eh panga trip ang gagawin namin. thanks again!

sisses, according to my friend who used to work in puerto del sol, madalas nga daw low tide dun (ilog malino area). So I am now considering accomodation around Patar Beach. sino na ditro nakapagstay sa coco's beach? ok ba dun?

may nakapagtry na ba ng Makayon Grillhaus hundred island tour package? ok ba sila?? and btw, if ever kasi, first time namin and plan namin na daytour lang..ok ba yung mga restroom dun??how can we go about it also..wala kasi kami mga idea. thanks

sisses, im just SOOOO EXCITED to share this:
may deal sa local roam (http://www.localroam.ph) sa isang resort sa pangasinan, sa lingayen to be exact.  P3640 for a 3D/2N stay in a bungalow room w/ daily breakfast & 1 hour body massage for 2 at El Puerto Marina Beach Resort & Vacation Club (60% off a P9100 value) ang maganda dyan, yung room na offered can accommodate 3 pax pala and you only need to pay P350 per night (breakfast included) for that extra person.  so thats just about P1400+ per peson kung 3 kayo or P1800+ kung 2 lang kayo na maga-avail. thats good for 3d/2n na ha! beach front yung resort and tho hindi daw white yung sand eh very fine naman.  may pool pati sila, hindi daw mahal yung food and best of all, ok siya na jump-off point since plan namin na mag-hundred islands.  nakita ko dun sa website ng resort na they offer tours as well pero di ko pa naitanong yung rates.  go go go! makakabalik na din ako sa pangasinan ulit!!

i'll be taking my husband, 2 yo toddler (free daw kids <12yo) + yaya so 3 kami -- bale halos P700 per day lang kmi per person. sulit di ba!  parang nag-laguna lang kami hehe. tapos from what i've read, ang boats sa hundred islands can be rented for a day trip for less than P1000.  ok na ok di ba!

sisses sino gusto magjoinsa amin, sa Black Saturday, April 23. punta kami hundred islands, daytrip lang. sa labrador,pangasinan na kasi kami manggagaling maundy thurs pa palang. 1400 rent ng boat good for 1-5 pax. 2k kung 11 pax. 2 kami ni hubby. may mga pension houses near sa lucap wharf where you can stay before and after ng daytrip.

sis 800 kapag drop off and pick up lang sa isang isalnd. pag island hopping (meaning you will go to governor's island, children's island and quezon islands), 1400 ang rate ng daytrip (equivalent to overnight rate nila in one island). may entrance yata 20 per pax, not sure lang if per island ito. may tables and cottages din dun. browse m sa net yung blog ni boyplakwatsa. or yung sa hundred islands na website, updated yun. i inquired yesterday sa kanila directly eh
