Hello Peeps!

ask ko po, pano yung proper way ng pag linis or paglalaba ng pillows? nilalaban nyo ba yung mga pillows nyo? o pinapalitan nyo yung punda/cover?

Ni wa wash ko pillows ko, isinasalang ko sa washer, malaki kasi machine ko,
tulad ng ginagamit sa metropole kaya kasya kahit 2 pillows. complete cycle,
kasama na pati spin dry. pero di ko pinapasok sa electric dryer , matutunaw
kasi ng heat yun filling sa loob kaya I just lay it flat then 1 day lang tuyo na.
Better talaga kung i spin dry kasi mas mabilis matuyo and fluppy ulit
kalalabasan.

But be careful kasi may mga materials na pag isinalang mo sa washing machine, tendency nagbubuo buo, like mga cotton filling/feather pillows.

If you use a pillow protector under the pillowcase -- you will not need to wash your pillows that often.  When you change the pillowcase -- sabay mo na palitan din the pillow protector.

There are certain kinds of pillows kasi na dapat bihira lang wash or better, send to the professional cleaners  -- like goosedown pillows and the newfangled tempur pillows.

^  th problem is not in the washing, but in the drying.  Kasi if that is not dried well -- you can imagine the stink!  LOL

I bring mine to The Valet Shop at Edsa Shangrila Hotel.  Kahit anong material itapon ko sa kanila,  they have never let me down.  The goosedown pillows and duvets come back smelling fresh.  Try their service.      

(OT, but  --- actually Sis, if you are here in the Phils.  there is a better alternative to using goosedown duvets.  The silk duvets from China are better for use  -- magaan, better priced)

We wash the pillow cases weekly, yung pillow itself every so often we have it dry cleaned.  Kasi mahirap nga talaga syang matuyo lalo na yung sa loob kahit paarawan pa, kapag machine wash lang.

I bring our pillows to the laundry every year. I do it 2 at a time (we have 4 pillows) so that we have pillows pa rin while waiting for the other 2 pillows to arrive from the laundry.

Make sure to check the care label in your pillows. Yun sa amin, magkaiba yun instructions for the king sized pillows sa queen size. The king sized pillows are dry clean only while the queen sized pillows can be put in a washing machine.

I'm currently looking for a pillow protector para I won't have to wash the pillows often. The less often you wash them kasi, the longer they will last.

^They're just like pillowcases, some with zipper some without. I got mine at SM where I also got mattress protectors. Or if you want to save a bit of money, use na lang your old pillowcases and put some snaps on the opening para it won't come off everytime you change your pillowcases/shams.

Last year ko pa binili.  Parang Akemi yata yung brand.  There are other brands as well.

im using dakki pillows, winawash ko atleast once a month then nagpapachange ako ng pillowcase weekly together w/ the bed sheet
