Yes, I sterilize them. I do it everyday together with the feeding bottles.

 i also sterilized my baby´s binky before or ibabad ko sa bagong kulong water...i used rubber pacifier before kasu pag matagal na parang iba na ang amoy niya..lalu na pag nastrelized madalas..kaya i opted for silicone binky na lang..change ko siya every 3 months...

yes, we change binkies every 3 months. tapos use different stage din. Hershey uses Pigeon/Avent silicon binks. cool naman sya dun.

My 2month old baby does not like his binkies ( Avent and precious moment ) my cousin told me she has the experience and mas gusto daw ng baby nya yung cheap na evenflo (w/ brown nipples ) anybody here who uses that?thanks

I just want to share with you what my baby's pedia has said regarding pacifiers. I asked her yesterday if my baby can use pacifier as my baby tends to thumbsucks a lot. She advised us not to for the following reasons:

• Baby is more prone to Otitis Media

• Pwedeng madamage ang teeth

• Baby might develop gastroenteritis (only if binky was not cleaned well)

• Baby might develop "kabag"

whichever comfy si baby sis. like sa baby ko soother nya talaga to. ambilis nya makatulog when she has it. pero kun di naman talaga need ni baby, ok lang yan.

re teeth, di rin kasi maganda teeth ng family side ni hubby so im expecting din na ganun ang baby ko but i really PRAY NOT! kung ano man, jan naman braces. hehe.

^^sis tama si sis pinkpotato. If your baby doesn't need it, then don't give it to her/him.

If your main problem is teeth damage, may braces naman eh. And if you stop early enough, you will minimize whatever damage it gives. If your baby develops kabag, then you could stop. But what if your baby has the sucking needs? I don't think it is advisable either to keep offering milk. Kapag bottled formula, it might destroy the baby's teeth din kung suck siya doon ng suck.

Paano kaya yun. Mas preferred pa rin ni baby ko yung bottle. Binilan ko kasi siya ng binky ngayon. Naiyak pa rin pag hindi bottle.

 sis Bagi2 ganun talaga ang babies sa simula..iyak sila ng iyak kasi hinde pa sila sanay..most of us mommies here probably experienced din sa simula...medyo tiisin mo lang pero kung ayaw niya talaga.. huwag mo na lang ipilit...kasi baka hindi pa comfort ang ibigay ng binky sa baby mo..

 di ko sya pedia, pero he is a mOM of a friend sabi nya sa binky daw sometimes nagsisimula ang diarrhea ng baby kasi pag di nahuhugasan ng mabuti eh a lot of bacteria's nagaacumulate sa binky ni baby, so siguro nga dapat talaga nating wash, may mga times kasi na tinatamad para iwash lalo na mga yaya's

so suggestion is always have a glass of luke warm clean water on your bedside para pagkatapos ni baby gamitin eh babad at hugas kaagad..

sis wag mo force si baby ng binkys ko 3 na type ng pacifier nya eh to no avail. Wa sya paks ( pakialam hehe )

sis, ilan weeks na baby mo? mine is 5 weeks, her pedia said may colic siya so he prescribed her an anti-flatulent. same kasi babies natin, parang gusto lagi magdede. she often spits up and ang hirap i-burp. how do you know lagi sumasakit tummy niya? si baby kasi everyday, around 3am-5am parang irritble & umiire but soft naman ang poop nya. hindi ko pa na ask ang pedia if he would advise pacifier.

5 weeks na din si baby ko sis. nalalaman ko lang na masakit tummy niya kapag iyak siya ng iyak tapos parang naninigas and sipa ng sipa. i check her tummy kung matigas ba or yung parang pinipitik to check kung mahangin yung tummy niya. tapos tumitigil lang siya when i carry her na parang burping position. 2 weeks lang siya nung advise kami ni pedia na bigyan siya ng pacifier kasi nga lagi siya na-o-overfeed dahil akala namin lagi siya gutom. we give her the pacifier kapag umiiyak pa rin siya after niya maubos milk niya.

suggestion mga sis..pag ay kabag yung kids (usually iyak ng iyak andmatigas yung tummy) we put mansanilla....pero manipis lang...tendency..nag fart yung baby

^ ok... i think that is fine. for us naman eucalyptos oil gamit namin. pro manzanilla is i guess recommended talaga ng mga folks naten.

hi! my daugther had pacifier since the day she was born. automatic na s hospital where ako nanganak, unless you specified not to. i noticed n hindi iyakin and if ever iiyak mabilis lang tumahan once you put on the binky. at first, lahat ng mamhaling pacifier natry ko (avent, gerber, nuk). pro parang sobrang gastos [textspeak!] mabilis magcloud ang nipple. Until i found 1st choice. as in click kay baby! sobrang mura. mga 60 pesos [textspeak!]. so i open 3 at a time pra masterilize kaagad evrytime iluwa nya.

consequences of pacifiers are same as with those of bottle feeder. kya nga advise ng pedia, when the baby starts solid, start din to wean from bottle feeding, sabay mo rin dapat ang pacifier.
 so at 1 1/2 we weaned her. as in cry to the max every night for 1 week (as warned by my pedia). tiis [textspeak!], eventually ok nman.
she's turning three. she drinks milk from the glass na and no more pacifier n rin. But still hindi prin cya iyakin and madali paring patahanin if iiyak.

Sis I also have that and 2 other pacifiers pero ayaw din ng baby ko, usually pag antok na antok na sya at hinehele, thats my time to give it to him kasi hes looking for something to suck on. try mo lang to do it
