-ano yung specific reasons na puede kang madeny halimbawang meron ka ng employer sa canada, hotel, direct hiring?
-kailangan pa ba ng proof of fund?
-ano puede nyong masuggest para maprove yung tie na babalik at babalik ka sa pinas after ng contract?

hi sis! I can completely relate. LAgi ako homesick especially why hubby goes to work. where in toronto are you? like you, I'm a SAHM. MAhal ng daycare eh. My baby's just 1. tried leaving her but she screamed and screamed.

Does anyone know if I will be able to renew my passport from here and get a new Canadian Work Permit as well?

Kakarating ko lang actually a week ago...at naiisip ko na na next year expire na both Philippine Passport ko and Canadian Work Permit. Expire sila pareho 31th of December 2009.

Yung contract ko with my employer is actually good for 2 years?

Paano kapag ka ganun? Need ko ba uwi ng Manila? Tsaka how soon should I go back there kasi hello...dusa before mo makuha ang Work permit mo.

curious lang, how much is an average rent in toronto or surrounding areas for an apartment or flat?

We're here in toronto. Apartments here usually costs $1000 for 1-bedroom, $1200 for 2-bedroom and $1400 for 3-bedroom. The prices usually play around that range depending also on the utilities included and the location of apartment itself. Sometimes a difference of $100-200 is a small price to pay for the comfort and security in your neighborhood.

unahin mo irenew ang passport mo.  months before siguro.  if i'm not mistaken at least 45days ang processing ng work permit.  though hindi naman talaga problema kung expired na work permit mo as long as nakaapply ka naman na ng bago, para lang hindi ka nag aalala, agahan mo ang pag renew both ng passport and work permit.

is anybody here from Ottawa? sana naman meron para may makausap ako na malapit lang, hirap din talaga ng walang kakilala dito.  

anyway, don po sa mga taga toronto, mahal ba talaga ang daycare dyan... kasi this morning we just had our assessment for our daycare subsidy and luckily naapprove kami in full. yung 3 y.o. son ko can will start his daycare on Monday para maka-concentrate naman kami sa aming job hunting.

lastly, pede pong malaman kung paano ba mag-apply ng Secret Certificate, parehas din ba yun ng police clearance.

^daycare fee in Toronto will actually depend on your family income. The bigger the income, the higher price you pay for daycare. There is also subsidy here, but only if you qualify. I saw the website before where you can compute the subsidy, cant remember where thou. This is one reason i chose to be a SAHM, since the price for daycare is quite steep. Besides, nakikita ko ang mga bata na sa daycare dinadala, hindi naman naalagaan mabuti, lagi pang may nagkakasakit.

Dayhome is a cheaper option (I think). I'm paying $625/month for my son's care. Milk, 2 snacks and lunch included. I got lucky to get the last slot for my current day home provider, Pinoy pa. She's really good and my son's enjoying his stay in there. A day home that's not under an agency is even cheaper ($450/month, the last time I inquired).

need help lan po. just the other day I aplied dun sa online www.migrationexpert.com, pumasa naman ako sa eligibility test as skilled worker and my next  step is to pay na 399C for the processing daw of visa, then my next step na is Advance Migration Services. Ask ko lan po since im applying together sana with my family, kasama na kaya yung processing ng visa for my husband and my son? I really want to travel with them hindi ko lan sure kung pwede kaya yun and how.

SIS ABY, question lang po. How did you apply going there and nung mag-apply ka ba kasabay na dun yung sa family mo? How long did it took your process? how much? and saan po kaya pwede? I want to follow po sana yung pattern mo.
