^^Hi iha, I'm asking because you have to have it checked. Pag nag-40 yan, critical na. My 16-year old daughter is somewhere between 36-39 degrees, and it started daw when she was younger. She's wearing a brace, until mag-18 siya, for 23 hours a day. Hindi ubra ang exercises.

^ really? parang 24/7 na din pala ang pagsuot ng braces... akala ko you'll wear it lang if you are at home... sige po pag nagpa annual physical ako ipapa check ko na din. thanks for the info.

^She takes it off lang pag maliligo at saka pinapayagan namin na wala pag may parties siya or activities na makakasagabal yung brace. Pahirapan talaga saka lagi siyang umiiyak pero it's for her own good. Maraming nagwo-worsen ang curvature kasi hindi sinusuot lagi or hindi sumusunod sa doctor's advice.

sis milktea1010 nakalimutan ko na nga rin kung ilang degrees ang naalala ko lang nun sabi mild lang daw . wala namang masyado difference after giving birth kung mali ang posture saka lang sumasakit o dahil din siguro cs ako.

sises, eto out of topic... wala kc ako makita about PTB. question lang kung alam niyo, my friend was diagnosed by PTB 6mos medication siya after nun nagleave ng scar or mark yun spot sa lungs niya.. mawawala pa ba yun pag matagal na? may chance pa ba makapagwork sa ibang bansa pag ganun? kasi nawawalan na siya ng hope dahil s health condition niya kahit magaling na siya since nagleave nga ng scar or mark s lungs un sakit niya?

nope hindi na mawawala yung scar, just like scars sa balat natin. but, if she completed her 6months medication at declared cured sya ng doctor, then there should be no problem. sana lang her doctor followed the right protocol (WHO) in diagnosing and treating PTB. meaning 3 sputum exams for diagnosis, DOTS (directly-observed therapy shortcourse), at regular checkup. sad to say, marami kasing private doctors ang hindi sumusunod or hindi aware sa WHO protocol.

san ka magpapaopera sis? if u dont mind me asking... mga magkano aabutin and gano katagal recovery? i have severe scoliosis and surgery na rin kelangan pero since tolerable naman yung pain...hindi ko pa naiisip magpa-surgery. balitaan mo kami sis ha. thanks.

^sis sa phil orthopedic center ako. 2009 pa nga dapat operation ko sa medical city kaso nasa php600k. buti na lang may naglapit samin sa spine specialist ng orthopedic center who happens to be doctor din sa st luke's. down to php300k na lang ang kelangan kong iprepare. pacheck ka na din sis, nagwo-worsen pa rin kasi yung curvature even after growth spurt. and mas mahirap i-correct if rigid na yung spine. kaya naghahabol na din ako.

oh God. Bigla akong natakot while backreading. Nalaman kong i have dextroscoliosis nung 2004 but i never did anything about it. Simula 2008 parati ako nagbubuhat ng baby ko hanggang this year. my baby is 15kgs na yata or 16. Buti ngayon di ko na gano binubuhat. Nagsisisi ako ngayon at sobrang natatakot.

Last night di talaga ako makatulog dahil sa sobrang sakit ng likod ko. Iyak ako ng iyak.

Meron ba kayo marerecommend na doctor sa Paranaque Doctors Hospital? Ito ang nearest na pwede ko puntahan. Di kasi ako makakalayo kase may baby ako at wala ko mapagiiwanan. Any idea how much ang therapy? Thank you in advance.

^sis mas maganda na pumunta ka na lang sa Makati Med kasi nagpunta ako sa Parañaque Doctors kaso wala silang whole spine xray. sabi nung doctor na napuntahan ko dun yun daw kailangan hindi yung ordinary xray para makita yung condition ng spine... so lumipat din ako hospital para magpa whole spine xray.

^^Kami sis, for my daughter, what we did was look for a specialist first. tapos kung saan ang clinic niya, dun kami pumunta. mahirap kasi yung diretso ka sa hospital, tapos wala pa silang specialist. usually kasi kailangan may request ng doctor bago ka magpa-xray, saka mas sanay na yung taga-xray pag kilala nila yung doctor, alam na nila ang requirements.

hi newbie here... i have a sister in law who was diagnnosed with scoliosis about 1 year ago, she is 15 y.o that time, it was 40 degrees, she wear braces...but lately we noticed that she has difficulty in breathing , kpag napapagod, as in hinahabol nya [textspeak!] paghinga nya... is there anyone here who experience difficulty in breathing/shortness of breath... as cause of scoliosis... tia
