thelady: No update pa rin on the H extension, and it's been 6 months since it was filed.
grabe!!!!! what has been happening?? e nung kami 2mos lang ang timeline for extension. i have a feeling gusto nila na magpapremium lahat para mas malaki kita kaya yung regular e tinatagalan nila. haaaay!
Be it extension, filing or transfer. Kami kasi ni-transfer muna yung H1B tas after filing the transfer, saka ni-apply yung I-140 and I-485 namin. Concurrent application din. Ngayon lang na-approve yung H1B transfer, it's been almost 6 months after application. Yun din sabi ng lawyer when we asked before.
As for your transfer, did your husband's new employer apply the I-140 and I-485 right away? I'm just curious because some companies require that the "new hire" work 6months to a year before processing any GC-related applications. Also, how long did you wait for the approval of your concurrent I-140 and I-485?
^ Pwede lang ata pag concurrent because EAD can only be filed along with I-485.
hi sis pretinnes, yeah same as you, our application din, sabay sabay yung I-140, I-1485, EAD and AP. I think this is the norm naman for concurrent filing. Matagal ba yung application ng PERM nyo?sis, yung sa amin din, employer ang sumagot ng lahat ng application, well aside from my application kasi dependent na ako, we $1,010 for the my I-485, which is the exact fee when we checked USCIS.
Wow! Congrats sis gnela_21, may EAD ka na pala! Work na! I didn't know na ganun pala katagal ang processing ng H1b extension/transfer ngayon. We are currently in the process of extending ours, 3 months na wala pa rin. It's a bit of a problem coz I have to renew my driver's license twice na, first they gave me a 60-day extension, and now I have a temporary permit lang kasi pending pa rin H1B ko.
