^I agree with mloveg, parang meron din nga sana maibigay sa guy :)

@mloveg last 3 items finafinalize nalang pero sinama ko na sa budget (cake, lights and projectors, invitation). Kung photobooth or giveaway pinag iisipan pa. oh yung mga gifts sa ninong/ninang di pa included din dyan and mga tela.. :)

Ugh nakakairita! Sorry to vent. A good friend of mine asked if she could bring a date with the reason na "hindi siya taga-dito. Para makakita siya ng Chinese wedding." What the?! Seriously?! Gawing show and tell ang kasal ko? Ok lang sana ako dun sa "Can I bring a date?" Period. End it there. Nakakainis pa yung reason after it. Pati damit, decor, alahas, bulaklak etc. dahil gusto mong gawing show and tell ang kasal ko. Hello?! All the more ma-t-turn off yan dahil there's no such thing as sa simple Chinese wedding. And to think alam din niyang limited lang ang guests ko ah! Ughhh!!!!

^indi pa nga kami naka send ng invites eh. Dapat last week kaso may delay printer. Talaga naman mag-refuse ako. I'd rather have people I know in my wedding kesa manliligaw na date. Naiinis lang ako parang walang utak and sensitivity the reason for bringing a date.

Come to think of it, may 1 time nagpunta siya sa wedding ng friend namin sinama pa niya shobe niya knowing madami naman kami dun.

:) Sabihan mo nalang in a nice way na hindi pwede, wag na pastress hehe

huhu late reply!!! I think ang budget talaga ng Chinese weddings is around 2.5M to 4m. Madami akong friends na kinasal lately nasa ganyan budget nila.

What if a member of the entourage gets married and/or pregnant before the wedding? Ano ang Chinese belief on this, and does it still hold in this day and age?

Yung sa kinasal na entourage, I think naman as long as di pasok dun sa parang time frame ng bawal e ok lang(within 3mos after their wedding yung bawal) but again, depende sa sinusunod ng family.

^ here ko ba nabasa or somewhere else that they (preggy women) can tie a ribbon (dunno what kind exactly) sa belly nila for kontra.

He messaged asking if it's still ok with us if he'll go coz yung parents ng barkada niya (even the bride) uninvited him. Medyo nagalit pa nga daw. Naawa nga ako eh. Sabi ko sa friend ko, I'll ask my fiancé. Sabi naman ni fiancé as long as hindi alam ng parents namin ok lang. Kaso alam ng family ko. So to cut the long story short, di ko na din siya papuntahin :(

huhu late reply!!! I think ang budget talaga ng Chinese weddings is around 2.5M to 4m. Madami akong friends na kinasal lately nasa ganyan budget nila.

This is quite cheap, ang alam ko nasa 5-20M. Food palang in a top hotel is easily 3M on a guestlist of 600-800, which is typical nowadays for chinese weddings. Yes merong 20M. Nakakaloka, haha.
I think kaya 3-4M if midrange na majority of the other suppliers. But iba ibang case naman.

Yeah, I heard about the 20M wedding from one of my suppliers, they had fireworks and everything. They have to edit a lot of the pictures pa kasi some VIPs doesn't want to be seen in the pictures...

Hmmm... Most of my friends who recently got married naman had their wedding at a 5 star hotel with well known suppliers,  I don't know lang if they didn't include or declare some of their expenses na in their budget like tinghun, hotel for relatives etc...kaya the total came out like that... estimated guest nila around 400 to 600 not sure...

How much was your wedding budget sis sparkingjewel?

^ oh there! Thanks! Baka your aunt would know ano pwede for guests who insists on going even if they're mourning?

Yet to ask our elders. Hoping other girls here would know if pwede sa reception lang.  Or kung ano pwede kontra. Like the ribbon on the belly thing.

^ did you tell him na to not go? Isa nga din yan sa inaalala ko, how do you ask them na wag umattend kasi nga bawal..

Original plan was our coordinator (also a former classmate) would casually ask him about yung 100 days when she'll call him for his confirmation. But I haven't told him yet. Been finding time din to invite him for drinks para personal sana. :/
