Girls, meron ba sa inyo sa Century hotel grand ballroom ang reception? May concern kasi yung event stylist namin na madaming additional charges pa for them na mga suppliers. Like 2 hours lang ingress time, 10k for additional hour, tapos may fee din daw pag mag photobooth, and may cash bond na daw na 20k in case may masira ang suppliers. May idea kayo? May client kasi sila sa June wedding na ganyan na daw policy ngayon

Hi mloveg. Most hotels event planner can waive that. Lahat nadadaan sa negotiation  The 2 hours ingress is standard, the additional is technically paying for the extra hour as security (if you dont want to be praning) and manning if you want to start as early as possible. Why not deal with the AE? if the hotel doesnt get booked a week prior to the event, mahihinge niyo na ng libre yung extra hour na yun basta no aircon. Lambing is the key!   The cash bond is also standard since it secures the hotel just in case supplier damages the ballroom pero my rules yan sa ballroom. Ask for that. She  has no excuse not to give you the extra hour since hinde na nya mabebenta yun in a week

Glad to be of help. Hope the AE will negotiate. If they dont sell it kase at least kumita pa sila hence the charge. Yung photobooth dapat kasali na yan sa pagrent ng ballroom dahil hinde naman aabot ng 110 ampheres yung pagtap ng photobooth niyo.Usually food and beverage lang ang my corkage, hinde photobooth. Sorry I hate it when some AEs can be like that. Photobooth really? The policy & charges should reflect in the contract or in the event order. Have you booked century na?

^^ ninja8, that's what my event stylist said. Kasi nga yung sa June wedding nila.. Yup, nooked na kami dun sa hotel eh, but the food is care of century seafood. Dun talaga gusto ng future in laws

70 tables pinareserve sa century seafood e, tapos sa initial counting ng guests parang lalampas.. so magbabawas pa.. pag hinayaan namin kasi lumampas magsspill over na sa phase 1, kaso parang isolated naman yung guests na nandun..

Girls, I have a slight issue.. After talking with edsa shang kasi, my future in-laws think that hindi sulit yung food nila for tinghun and gusto nila gawing century nalang din yung tinghun namin. Ang concern ko lang, kung parehong tinghun at wedding reception is nasa century, won't it be parang pareho lang? sa pictures and sa food?

^hmm can you do the tinghun in another place? Like Gloria Maris in GH? I've been to 2 tinghuns there already, and the ballroom is quite nice.  Mine will most likely be there also

Hirap kasi parking sa gloria maris e kaya prefer nila di dun, tapos gusto nila masarap talaga din yung food at sulit.. Saan pa ba other options?

^parking's actually not too bad now since they built the underground carpark. There's also valet (which is what I used the last time I went).

Hmm those are the only ones I can think of, if you want good food but nice interiors as well...

If you're stuck with century for both, maybe you can try to have the menu be different for both occasions? Though, i don't think your guests will mind if it's the same. The events are a few months apart anyway, and good food is still good food

If I'm stuck with it, yeah we could just tweak the food I guess, but the photo shoot.. I'm afraid there's not much I can do.. Sana di magpareho itsura nalang ng shots.. Or ilipat ko preps area ko then hopefully payagan nung other hotel na magphotoshoot pa dun after wedding ceremony para maiba..

^yes, that sounds like a good idea! Hopefully you can find a hotel that's not too strict about it. Are you planning to stay in a hotel the night of the wedding? Because if you are, they should still allow you to take photos there after the ceremony

And maybe you can hire different photographers for the wedding and tinghun. So the photo styles will still be different, even if it's in the same location.

Nakabook na kasi kami sa same photographer for both events e.. Yep we're planning on staying pa din sa hotel after the wedding, I just hope we're not too exhausted to drive back to the other hotel after the reception

^Tingin ko mas better kung sa ibang place ka magtinghun if you're getting the same photographer. Ilang tables ba for your tinghun? Why don't you try GoldenBay Restaurant, Gloria Maris or New World Manila Bay? I personally haven't tried New World's chinese food but a friend recommended that they serve delicious food din.

Yeah, baka pwede ka sa Jasmine (New World). They have very good hakaw

Napapangitan sila sa food sa golden bay... Gloria Maris well as I've mentioned, yung parking issue, but I don't know sa kanila baka iconsider pa din naman. Then New World Manila Bay haven't tried.. Mga 12-15 tables yung tinghun as far as I know
