^wow sis happy for you so far so good :) and your wedding suppliers ha to die for talaga :)

re. sa gold bangle and pendant, it was fiance's ama who gave it to me. actually it was her gift on fiance's 16th bday, ang purpose nun daw is it will be passed down to me (wife), then ako naman will give it as a pamana to our future kids. if i remembered it right two bangles yun tied together ng red thread :) mahal talaga siya sis kasi it should be real gold sabi nila fiance :)

as for the watch naman, you have a particular brand in mind na? eto yung pinaka nagenjoy ako nung binili namin nila fiance and his family. :D

sis chinita, you got veejay na pala.. congrats! just make sure that he delivers the gown to you before he leaves ha. uy how thick is that bangle? for 90k, ok na yan. my mom said baka nga manipis pa yan. the one my parents have from my ama and angkong would prolly cost 200k already today.

my mom naman is so nice. fiance is foreigner but she gave him a watch, cheap lang but i appreciate the gesture kasi usually if not chinese, they dont give it na. tapos she'll make him choose between a necklace, bracelet and ring.

re the stuff given to the ninong and ninangs, ok na ba na 6 misuas, 6 pork legs, 4 can of danish cookies, 2 cans mentos, 2 cans candies, 2 packs crunch?

nakakatuwa your wedding sis, chinese style parin kahit fiance is a brit. paano pala sa reception english/chinese din?

For the watch we're thinking about Rolex or Patek. Fiance wants Patek, I want Rolex. We don't have the rings pa!! kaka pressure!

I'm not sure if tama mga ginagawa ko. I just hope tama haha!

little_princess
I don't know how thick the bangle is. Fiance said, as long as may gold ok na since its all for show. I'm still scouting for the best price available.

So nice naman of your mom. In our case, my brother married a foreigner so wala na yung jewelry and bangles part. Just the exchange of watch.

Re the stuff given to ninong and ninang, my achi, almost the same as yours yung ginawa nya but with fruit cocktails. Did you consult New Victory din? :)

sis chinita, go for patek! sa pinas lang naman super over hyped rolex. if you look at over all value and internationally, patek is number 1. rolex nasa top 10 lang.

the bangle nga is for show lang talaga but 90k is good price na daw kasi it's usually pure gold.

oo nga, my parents love my fiance kasi he's really nice and nakikibagay siya. for a westerner, he will shoulder the wedding maski in their culture it's usually the girl's side who pays or hati.

ah i think the sweets part is ikaw na bahala, i just don't know what's ok or not. we just bought a box sa kan chiu store na red tapos when i went to a ninang's place, she showed me a box na another inaanak gave her! grabe, personalized box na embossed pa yung name.  :-[ we didn't consult na, those goodies mom ko prepared since she's been a ninang a couple of times na and she knows what people usually put.

True! His younger bro got married earlier and the girl did not get tinghun. My beau reserved at sanctuario de San Jose already, only to find out that the chosen date is not conductive for marriage bk malasin daw. I'm so Tamad to wait so I'm putting everything on hold for now. Next time I'd consider tinghun if ever the right time comes. Sayang yung Downpayment non-refundable pa nman.

for chinese wedding, the first step talaga is to check the date because that pretty much sums up everything. baka naman the reservation fee can be changed to a different date?

Try to act on it while its still early, write a formal letter requesting for the move of date. Payagan ka or not, at least you've tried. I paid for Santuario de San Jose rin but moved my wedding to Santuario de San Antonio. Ganon talaga.

Don't be tamad or lose interest, I know its disheartening but future in laws might see this as sign of weakness. Show your future MIL and hubby na you can do everything. Kaya yan. :)

Don't worry, they don't know I'm already tamad :-)  We reserved two slots for both the church and the wedding, so let's see.  I have to check available couturier pa pala.

it's upto you sis if you still want to go with it or no na. but it's a different experience din kasi :)

sis littleprincess is right. if inlaws would still give you the gift like jewelries, ok lang kahit wag na. sayang naman kasi the gifts. it will all be yours after all :)

we won't have ting hun. we don't find it necessary kasi. our families are not strictly traditional and may pagka-rebellious kami. haha. tama na yung chinese food ang i-serve sa reception. :D
