Hmm haven't heard his name, but I heard Jerome was good. He was our next choice if Max didn't push thru.

Haha I had to laugh at your comment re: Mike. I agree with you and I don't like the way he speaks...too maarte. I might get irritated lang at the reception

hi sis pinkbride!  english lang ginamit niya... pero from what i heard he's fluent in both languages. I didn't recall any games when he hosted.

Mainly for the old folks' comprehension.
Mandarin is generally the language used... let's face it, not all Chinese living in the Phils. speak Fookien.  Some speak Cantonese.

However,  if the couple is not that tradition bound... best to have a host who speaks alternately in Mandarin and English.  It is rude to be inviting non-Chinese guests and have them feeling left out.

Red is acceptable in chinese weddings, and black depende rin if glittery.  Modern na naman ngayon ang mga chinese couples.

Just came from a Chinese wedding yesterday and ang dami naka black during the reception... I guess modern na nga yung mga chinese ngayon considering that very chinese both sides (bride and groom). Iba lang siguro na ngayon yung outlook ng mga tao. Especially since it is a very big crowd hindi mo na ma cocontrol yung suot ng mga guests..

^yeah i agree sa daming guests mahirap narin macontrol kung ano dapat isuot ng guests. and it depends rin sa family. if they're traditional, talagang no no ang black.

^ traditional nga sis both sides. kaya i was not expecting din to see anyone in black although nagulat ako that there were like a few who wore the color. although very elegant naman yung cut ng dress nila black parin yun... wag lang makita ng mothers ng kinasal. hehe

^ usually the wedding stores in binondo would know this. marami na ngayon hindi na nipreprepare, just the inportant stuff lang. i think the kan chiu book is complete pero not everyone follows it na.

are you giving shoes to your MIL?

Also, i am confused, who furnishes the house?
