hi there..would anyone know the rates of gloria maris, ccp or greenhills branch? they serve chinese lauriat right>? tia!

for gloria maris gh they have set menus and normally you can sit down with the manager and discuss this thoroughly. the starting price is at 8k :) what my friend did was to change some dishes to something else with probably a similar value :)

^Tama yan Fran!! :)

What's nice about Chinese restos (Gloriamaris & Century) is that they give HUGE discounts, tipong walang service charge and etc.. :)  Unlike hotel na grabe mag-charge ng kung ano anong taxes.  hehe...

Question:

Who pays for the:

a)  Ting-Hun
b)  Telas for the Ninangs and Ninongs
c)  Gifts for Ninangs and Ninongs
d)  Wedding rings
e)  HMU
f)   Bridal Shoes

^sa pagkakaalam ko ah -

ting hun - side of the bride (but lately, marami na rin side of the groom ang nagshoshoulder ng cost nito)
telas of ninong/ninang - the couple (bahala na si ninong ninang to make patahi)
gifts - couple rin

wedding rings, HMU, bridal shoes - hmmm, bride yata?

kelangan ba talaga clear ang pag-split ng cost? :D kasi majority, sagot ng side ng groom diba...

yan tuloy, pati ako nalito na. haha. but i heard na yung shoes ng future mom in law mo, dapat ikaw (bride) ang magbibigay. not sure if chinese tradition to or pati pinoy ganun.

hi sis, yung telas alam ko yung guy ang magshoshoulder pati yung patahi.. hindi ba? correct me if im wrong alam ko yung sa wedding almost lahat ng gastusin sagot ng guy, pati yung ampao na ibibigay sa mga secondary sponsors at yung best man at maid of honor, groomsman at bridesmaid..

I also have the notion that the guy pays for everything.  I feel kinda insulted when sinasabi ng guy side na sa babae dapat manggaling.

As they say, modern na ngayon and we have to be practical, but if the guy can afford - why not diba?

Angpao alam ko is kanyakanya.. I have friends who give 800-1.2k, may ibang both sides give the same amount while there are others who give just one amount one side (guys sa guys, girls sa girls)

^^like ano ang pinapasagot sa side ng bride?

nag-start na ba kayo mag-furnish ng house? pag house galing sa groom side, side ng bride sagot sa mga appliances, right?

sa amin guy ang may papay ng ting hun, mostly from friends and acquaintances thats the usual practice too upon our observation :) ang house namin groom ang nagbigay, so small appliances ata bride ang proprovide, but big ones like air-con, tv i think if i'm not mistaken groom side din :)

tear drop shape ang bawal, but the round one is acceptable i think.

the shoes for the mother-in-law signifies that she should separate herself from the couple right?  the same reason why you shouldn't give shoes to a bf/ gf, baka maghiwalay kayo?

^ why don't you ask your MIL nalang? i remember with my uncle kasi, the bride did give the shoes, pero sa province kasi nila shoes lang wala ng ribbon, pero from my granny's pov, mali yun. dapat raw may kasama pang clip/brooch

hi may i ask kung how much nagastos or how much budget niyo for tinghun and wedding? nakakahiya kasi pag yung side lang ng groom ang gagastos :)

is it okay to give gift certificate (rustan's/spas,etc) instead of angpao sa entourage?
