I think chinese weddings in general aren't the same as the ones na pinapakita sa "mano po" the movie :)  May mga set up lang sila na iba.  And I think mas magarbo lang.

Usually 800 to 1,200 for the money diba?  For ninongs naman, diba yung chocolate na puro gold yung cover?

madami talagang ceremonies. pero i think worth it namna lahat.

thank you

angpao for the ento can be given 1 per side (meaning each ento member gets 2 angpaos - 1 from the groom side and 1 from the bride side), or both sides can share the same angpao. When I got married last year, we only gave 1800 to the adult ento and 1200 to the kids, since we already paid for their suits and gowns.

For the ninongs, we gave them cross ballpen and the ninangs we gave bracelet. You also have to give the ninongs and ninangs cloth for their gowns and suits pala (this should be done about 3-4 months [at least!!] before the wedding). A suggestion I got is to give good quality cloth to the godparents so that they will use it. If you give them cheap material, they tend to use their existing suits or gowns, so nangyayari is the gowns and suits are not color-coordinated (but that's just my opinion, OC kasi ko so I want the ninongs and ninangs to be color coordinated).  ;)

tama yan :)  dapat talaga maganda yung tela ng gown, kasi papatahi din naman nila, so better give them something they can use with confidence.  usually, ilan ang minimum na invited sa reception.

sis nicoletta

minimum guests depends on the family of the bride and groom. Like in our case, our guest list run to about 300, no kids were allowed (except for the ento) and each family only had a representative or two invited. We only allotted 20 guests per parent (so total 80 guests for both sets of parents). Dami nga reklamo nakuha when we gave the invites, pero wala naman silang magawa kasi super sungit ko ;D Plus, my hubby and I shouldered the entire cost of our wedding, so our parents did not react nalang when we told them they can only have 20 guests each  ;D

A friend of mine naman had around 800 guests invited, kasi the family decided to invite the acquaintances from associations, kaya nag-balloon ang guest list nila!

Pero from what I heard, normal na talaga un around 50 tables sa chinese wedding, 30 for bride side and 20 for groom side.. :P

uso pa ba ang ting hun? for me kasi, i find it impractical at sayang yung mga binibigay na di talaga nagagamit.  maybe we can opt to have dinner then exchange of gifts lang. wala ng mahabang ceremonies pa.

I have a question..
Who will spend for the cloth of the god parents? (yung gagamitin nila for their outfits?)

^Traditionally, it is the couple who shoulders the cloth of the godparents, so you just have to give the cloth to the godparents 3-4 months before your wedding. But now, since marami nang Chinese couples na nagtitipid, they just inform the godparents the motif of their wedding and bahala na un godparents what they want to wear for the wedding. If you are OC on how your godparents will look in the pictures, then you should be the one to provide for the cloth. If not, then just inform the godparents your color motif.

Again, it is your choice ;)
