^^how many times kayo nagapply ng frontline? ang alam ko sabi sa label, it may take some time to completely get rid of ticks. samin nagwork naman kahit first use lang, ginawa ko bumili ako ng biggest dose tapos .5ml lang ginamit ko. we use it for 4 consecutive months tapos nung napansin ko na di na sya kinakapitan, i stopped applying. kaso baka depende rin, di kasi talaga kami lapitin ng fleas kaya baka mas madali silang macontrol. usually nahahawa lang yung alaga ko pag nasama sa dog na may ticks and fleas.

Since we got our shitzu consistent every month frontline kasi she stays inside our room...then pag dating ng summer ayun patay na. Frontline didnt work. Pati and DE (naglagay ako sa room namin for a month kasi it got to the point ticks were crawling on our wall na!) My wife and i finally gave up last week...we vacuumed the whole room to get rid of the DE. Then i sprayed baygon to kill all the ticks. Our shitzu cant sleep inside our room though till she gives birth in a months time. Before that i have to clean our room again twice to get rid of the baygon para sure lang. So far clean na ang room namin...our dog naman baths twice a week and kinukutuhan ko every single day and so far i think im winning the battle.

^ah so pag summer season sya talaga nawawalan ng bisa. effective ang baygon sa ticks? takot kasi ako sa baygon, hs days pa ata kami last gumamit haha! i've seen some household sprays against ticks and fleas, medyo expensive lang nasa 500pesos. pero sabi ng brother ko effective daw kahit sa ants. at di naman daw mabilis maubos.

Im not sure pero most of my friends who have dogs pag summer di kaya ang frontline. And from what i know the tick has to bite the dog first for it to work. Next summer our dog is staying in doors na. I dont care if she poops and pees inside mas ok na dealing with that than dealing with ticks. The baygon works so far kasi more than a week na wala ako nakita sa room namin except dead ones. I bought the baygon protector na citrus smell. I sprayed it before leaving for work tapos hapon have our maid ventilate the room. Btw we tried the pet park thing para our dog doesnt need to go out to poop and pee and it didnt work....ginawa nya lang higaan even with the cardinal drops...ayun ang panghi nya sobra.

i agree, maybe depende nga sa dog and the area you live in.  my dogs don't have a lot of tics on them kasi i always check and brush their fur regularly like sis scubadoobidoo
the other day i wasn't able to sleep talaga kasi after i sprayed frontline n my dogs, i  saw a lot of small tics crawling sa bed and curtains. as in i stayed up till a.m.! i removed the curtains, vacuumed like crazy and cleaned out every nook and cranny ng room. tapos pinaliguan ko ang doggies using warm water then reapplied frontline after.  i had the curtains and linens soaked in hot water din. kadiri talaga

This is what i found out about ticks...once you have them in your room wait one week to two weeks pag wala ka na makita then its clean na. Kasi if those ticks laid eggs in your room it will take a week before they hatch. Yung mga eggs nila dun sa mga singit sa floor ang corner. Thats what happened to us. Buti nalang the baygon works kasi its been more than a week na and wala ako nakita. If your checking for ticks in your room check the lower part ng wall. Yung sa amin we even found one on the chair and my wife found one in her dress sa cabinet....ayun wash lahat na damit using warm water.

in my case,i think dun sila sa folds ng curtains nag le-lay ng eggs.  pinababad ko sa hot water and sabi ng helper namin ang dami daw maliit na tics lumutang

nag spray din ako ng frontine sa mga corners pero konti lang kasi takot din ako sa chemicals like sis abu   yung scent ng frontline is not as strong as baygon but i'm sure harmful din yun kasi my nose and eyes feel "tingly"  after ko mag spray. Hindi kasi option for me no to use baygon since i'm always in my room (currently reviewing online for exams) and yung dogs din prefer to stay with me.  if their outside my room, lagi sila "kumakatok" sa door,  hehe.

Galing ako ng vet kanina. Nirecommend nya yung revolution for heartworm and ticks na daw yun. Mga mag kano ba yun sa pet shops? Bukas try ko bumili, sa Friday ko pa kasi pwedeng iaaply yung revolution sa alaga ko.
I tried using several herbal soaps (giga, lori, superdog & another 'herbal 'soap' brand from shopwise).
Yung giga yung pinaka gusto ko kasi di nagshed yung dog ko. Kaso di yata sya effective. Yung lori at supepdog naglagas yung hair ng lab ko.
Pero yung lori yung pinaka madaming hair ang natangal. Di ko na nga sinunod yung instructions sa lori dogsoap na 3 days di babanlawan. Kasi nung sinasabon ko pa lang yung lab ay madami ng naalis na buhok nya.
Hindi namang grabe yung tick ng dog ko. Paisa isa lang naman yung nakikita. Kya lang nagdadala kasi ng sakit yung ticks kya gusto ko totally mawala yun.
Sabi ng vet baka may tick yung dogs ng neighbor namin kya nahawa yung dog ko. Kasi ilang years na kasi syang walang tick & fleas, tapos biglang nagkaroon.
Yung lab ko nag ka mild heartworm noon, kya natatakot ako na magkasakit sya dahil sa mga ticks.

Hayss na depressed ako kaninag umaga paggising ko I checked Cody pero his still asleep so I comb his hair muna. Then I prepare his food tapos nung pagbalik ko gising na at kamot sya ng kamot. Na stress ako mga sis! May nakita ko sa floor na tick na BUSOG, as in kulay gray tapos ang laki.  Nag gloves ako tapos kinuha ko yung tick then nilagay ko sa plastick tapos pinisa ko, andaming dugo. Madidirihin ako in the nth power pero talagang di na ako nakapandiri nung time na yun basta ang naging concern ko lang talaga is him. Naawa ako kay Cody sobra. Akala ko nung una dandruff lang kaya nagkakamot kaya I keep on bathing him with sulfur soap which is prescribed ng vet of his breeder nun. Pero in the past few days nakakakuha ako ng ilang ticks from him but first time yung ganito kalaki. I dont know kung san nya yun nakuha. May dogs and cats from neighbors pero he barely gets close to them. I wont let him get out of the house kasi takot ako na makakuha sya ng virus. I dont walk him nga sa park ee, I just play with him lang before sya matulog para maubos energy nya. I clean the area where he stays everyday. Before, I use lang this soap na pang eliminate ng pet stain and odor pero when I got ticks na nga from him I started to use zonrox na. Nabasa ko kasi from other post na nakakapatay yun ng eggs and larvae. Pero bakit ganun I got ticks pa rin until kaninang umaga nga yun yung pinaka malaki. Kaya naisip ko na the only reason left kaya siguro sya nagka ticks is baka hindi sya healthy, which is more depressing kasi as his owner I failed siguro to give him the right food and TLC. 

Sissies I need po your advice. Cody is only 4 1/2 mos. All in all less than 10 ticks pa lang naman yung nakuha ko from him. Pero ibig sabihin diba there's a chance na nakapag lay na ng eggs yung mga yun. Natatakot ako for him and syempre yung mga kasama ko sa bahay baka magreklamo. Tiniis na nga nila yung dog smell nya before ee I'm not sure kung makakaya pa nila if biglang nag crawl sa floor and walls yung mga ticks. Do I have to use frontline na ba? Hesitant pa ako kasi expensive nga tapos effective lang for a month or so. O makukuha pa to sa anti-flea and tick soap like this giga dog soap na I saw from SM? I heard kasi from sis Abu and other threads na its natural so guaranteed safe tapos nagiging shiny pa yung coat. Natatakot din ako mag-try nung asuntol pero compared to frontline its cheaper, nakakita ko nito sa grocery the other day so baka itry ko to later.
Dadaan na din ako sa supermarket para puro homecooked na lang si Cody. Hinahaluan ko pa kasi ng dog food yung meat at veggies nya. Sissies may kulang pa ba? Gusto ko talaga maging free from flea and ticks na ang baby ko.

^We used Frontline spray and it worked for a while tapos nung hindi na, Kiltix collar na ngayon. Nawala talaga lahat until now.

solepurple, yung mga alaga ko di rin lapitin ng fleas, lalo yung bulldog, 5x ko lang sya nakitaan, 5yo na sya ngayon. pero yung shih tzu nahahawa pag sinama sa dog na infested, inis na inis din ako kasi foreign ang fleas and ticks samin. at nakakaawa sya kasi kamot ng kamot at namumula skin nya, meron syang flea allergy dermatitis. at first, soaps muna tinytry ko and manual removal pero pag di na talaga kaya, frontline na. I buy the biggest dose tapos .5ml lang nilalagay ko, nagagamit ko ang isang pipette for 4mos, so parang 100pesos lang kami every month. search mo lang yung computation napost ko yun dito.

we have the same problem, i'm trying to give the best diet to my dogs, pero yung isa nagkakaron pa rin ng fleas. siguro di talaga sila pantay-pantay when it comes to health. merong pinanganak na healthier than the others, at kahit anong gawin natin merong mga dogs na more prone to diseases. doble ingat and effort na lang talaga.

coldsiren, around 400-500 ang revolution. some owners prefer it para isang bigayan na lang kesa iba-ibang prevention pa for ticks, heartworm, earmites. effective naman daw.

I bath my baby muna ng Doggies choice anti-flea and tick soap. Nirecommend ng bf ng sis ko, safe daw compared asuntol. I'll give it a try muna pero if mga 2-3 weeks may makita pa rin kami siguro mag frontline na talaga sya. Kawawa naman ang mga fur babies natin lagi na lang may chemicals sa katawan.

Hindi naman talaga totally maiiwasan ang ticks esp pag infested and mga kapitbahay na may dogs or even when we walk them.

We put Revolution every month and good naman kasi kahit sobrang infested yung kapitbahay namin na dog, 2 lang na ticks ang nakikita ko per month so it means... nag wowork siya. It wala silang protection, yung 2 nagiging 200 agad yun in a few days/weeks. So, dapat nakabantay lang sa pag check.

Also, pag may nakita kayong ticks... wag na wag niyong putukin. Kasi pinapakalat niyo lang ang eggs ng ticks everywhere and these parasites can thrive under the ground. So, what we do is sinusunog namin or I flush it sa toilet. Or, we have a bottle na may oil and we just place the ticks inside. Hindi na sila dadami pa.

^ay ganun pala yun, dapat hindi pinuputok, dati pinuputok ko yung mga nakikita ko, pero mga mahigit 2 years na mula nung ang ginagawa ko na ay sinusunog yung mga nakikita sa wall gamit lighter or tinatapon ko sa kanal. kaya siguro hindi na ganon ka-infested ang mga alaga namin sa probinsya. dati kasi pati wall namin andaming ticks! yung mga busog na busog na. fleas naman problema namin ngayon, sa labas lang kasi mga doggies namin sa probinsya e, mahilig silang tumambay sa lupa sa ilalim ng kubo namin kaya din siguro kahit anong paligo ay hindi nawawala.

mga sis paano naman po pag sa pusa naman?last week kasi may inampon akong pusa,3 months old pa lang..wala akong napapansin na may flea siya kaso kanina nakita ko meron 1 hindi ko naman makuha kasi kinabahan ako..dito siya sa balcony namain sa 4th floor naman kami,tiles naman dito..siguro nakuha niya dun sa dayi niyang owner kasi palakad lakad sa labas ng tindahan..ano bang maigi na shampoo or spray na mabibili rin sa supermarket?puro pang aso naman yung tinda sa supermarket,pwede rin ba yun?saka pala meron akong nakitang pet collar yung Natural Pest Control Collar,pwede rin ba sa pusa yon? TIA

^Sis IMO, its better to ask you vet. Im not sure hah pero baka may components ang dog soap na masama naman sa cats. Di rin kasi ako maalam sa cats ee. 

Yung baby ko pala hindi ko na nakikitaan ng fleas or ticks. Almost 2weeks na siguro simula nung gumamit ako ng anti flea and tick soap. Tapos gingamitan ko pa rin sya ng sulfur soap para anit-bacterial naman. Twice ko sya sinasabunan every bath time. Yung area where he usually stays everyday ko nililinisan ng zonrox. So far naman feeling ko maganda ang results. Sana tuloy tuloy na.

Pero mga sis recently naman may napanisn ako parang mga pimples with puss sa kanya. Connected ba toh sa fleas and ticks? Have you experieced these with your pets? And what did you do para macure? Need your help mga sis. TIA.

^^di rin ako sanay sa cats pero pag tumitingin ako ng anti tick and flea products, merong namang for cats talaga. yung iba safe for both cats and dogs yung iba naman harmful for cats. basahin mo lang mabuti sa label sis.

^si abu meron syang flea allergy dermatitis, allergy sa kagat ng fleas. super kati at namumula until magsugat at maging hotspot kakakamot. baka meron ding ganito ang baby mo sis. kailangan mawala ang fleas para mawala din ang allergy

Hayyy tick problem ganyan din kami pag summer dati kasi I have a LOT of dogs we tried everything isa formula lang talaga ang gumana sa amin.

1. Pag summer we map our floors, wash the cages, leeping mat, rugs etc with asuntol every week or twice a week

2. Use anti tick soap 2x a week and tick and flies powder every bath and every other day.

3. Front line ( the best talaga ito)

4. Pour hot water sa mga beddings ng dogs na hindi puwede lagyan ng asuntol.

5. Spry ng baygon sa walls and nook and cranny sa bahay.

6. Kinukutuhan namin yung aso tapos nilulunod yung garapata huwag ninyo titirisin kasi yung dugo niya mag eggs lalo dadami.

Ginagawa namin ito pag matindi infestation ng ticks

I can't seem to find your computation.  How many ml yung pinakamalaki na binili mo and can I use it to my 3 kg maltese? 1/4 of the pippette din?
