maliit lang ang baby ko... pero malaki ang ulo... minsan sa liit nya ang hirap hanapan ng damit. 25T lang naman sya. pinakamahal na sya sa kanilang magkakapatid. besides, there's no such thing as a teacup... minsan kasi hindi naman nila ma-assure na hindi na talaga lalaki yun kasi puppy pa lang. try to visit their kennel to ensure na healthy ang pups and reputable breeder ang binibilhan mo. mas mura pa kapag lalaki.

i would recommend this breeder (http://sirowtrikennel.multiply.com/). sa kanya ko nakuha si portia. kung makikita mo yung kennel nila, ang dami-dami nyang dogs. chihuahua at iba pa. pero malinis at makikita mong masaya silang lahat.

^me i dont feed my chi anything except dog food.minsan tinapay lang.yun na yung pinakatreat nya.strict ako sa diet nya eh.hehe.

puwede naman sis basta malinis and controlled mo yung dami ng food. ingat ka sa ulam, lalo sa malalansa kasi nagkakaroon sila ng rashes.

my friend recently got himself an almost a year old chi for 10k. first time ko makipaglaro sa chi when he brought Ichiru sa house and sobrang nakakatuwa talaga, kakatanggal ng stress.

ingat lang kayo sa table food. there are food that are poisonous or allergic to dogs.

onions, chocolates, grains like wheat etc ... the dogfood with feed our chis are grain free. Ingat din kayo sa type/brand ng dogfood pinapakain nyo sa furbaby ninyo. A lot of commercial dog food are made up of.

if you can't feed them dog food, try ground meat (the leanest beef) or boiled chicken (chopped finely) with no salt or other seasonings. less than a 1/3 cup lang ang feeding. or they will get fat FAST and that's bad for them.

I have a deer head and an apple head. once we get our own house, will adopt a long haired chihuahua para complete collection

chihuahuas are so sweet! they like so much attention, as in! yung chi ko gusto palagi makipaglaro, hindi yata napapagod yun. haha.

^yup. actually here in the states, that's their reputation. Wary of strangers and will bark, snip, and bite. But they are really sweet! To people they know.

good luck sis! you'll fall in love with your future furbaby! if you are in the US or Canada, I would love to suggest adopting/rescuing chihuahuas.

There are so many homeless chihuahuas living in shelters and foster care. That's how we found our 2 chihuahuas. We searched through Petfinder.org and connected with the shelters involved. It sooo worth adopting.

If you are in Philippines, just make sure you're buying from a reputable breeder. Have it's papers and registration and that the dog is healthy.

Puppies are enjoyable but since we are talking about chihuahuas here, they are forever babies! even when you get a chi that's 1 yr or older, they are still all puppy like in every way.

^ oo sis cher.liman thanks for bringing that up. there really is no such thing called 'teacup'. teacup is just a label to market the tiniest puppies in a litter of chihuahuas. wag kayo padala sa mga schemes na ganyan.

^I'd like to adopt actually sis but there is no such thing in Manila. Maybe here in Bangkok meron but I havent been able to contact them yet.

I steer away from puppy millers and backyard breeders, I avoid them like disease.

I've learned in the long run kasi its pure heartache to lose our babies to some disease or whatever that could have been avoided by proper breeding and rearing. Lalo na ang Chi they are quite delicate babies. Sometimes kasi one does it for the sake of having one, they dont know what they are getting into, the commitment. Some dont even bother to research the common diseases and what to expect.

So anyhoo, could anybody name a proper breeder? I prefer one who actually breeds one to 3 kinds of dogs only. Ok lang kung boy or girl, show type or not. I'd even take pet qualities (those who have "faults" that arent eligible for show)

^tama sis! if you can't find a dog to adopt, go to a reputable breeder. breeders that raise puppies like their own babies. dapat yung breeder mismo, is a dog lover him/herself and super care sa mother ng mga puppies din.

i really feel sorry for the puppies sold in places like Aranque and other Petshops na obvious yung horrible conditions the dogs/puppies are placed in.

hi may ask po ako about chi kasi plan ko po talaga to buy chihuahua eto po talaga yung gusto kong breed. I want to know lang kung may teacup chihuahua ba talaga kasi like in shih tzu wala daw so called princess type unfortunately we bought princess type shih tzu although we love her so much kaso di pa la sya ok for breeding. sana po someone can give me infos about chihuahua. TIA!
