Paano kayo nakapunta sa abroad? (ways and means)

nagpunta ng singapore ngunit hindi pinalad masyado.
pinilit ng pinsan na lumipat sa Qatar.
and then, ayun na...Qatar is where i belong pala.

just like to put my piece here as I am living abroad currently. i went to dubai on a visit visa c/o a very good friend during the time Dubai is not yet strict with their visa/immigration policies. I've been very curious why I've been hearing a lot about Dubai. Then i tried to look for a job luckily i got one. Still working & happy but it's really happier in Pinas eventhough salary is lower but all my friends & love ones. bsta iba pag nasa abroad...

Almost the same tayo sis, nabroken hearted ako thats why i decided to apply abroad, i just passed my CV through Jobstreet, ayun after 1 week tinwagan ako ng Agency, nandito na daw yung principal interview ko na daw, first interview ko dun sa General Manager nung agency, 2nd dun sa principal na girl taga H.R pala sila nung company na inaaplayan ko.

Ayun after 15mins na paguusapan namin,im hired na daw, wait daw ako ng 3mos, february yun need pa daw kasi iprocess yung working Visa,D ko na sure kung anong month ako pumirma ng contract, MAY yata yun, wala pong placement fee.Yung pasport ko free kasi yung friend ko work sa travel agency, help nya ko. last week po ng june tinawagan na po ako ng agency aalis na daw ako kinabukasan. So far until now nandito pako.Thank God, dahil kung may placement fee yun, d rin ako makakaalis.

I just came from back from my 3 months maternity leave in 2007 then after a few weeks I took a certifications related to my field (shouldered by company). After passing, I just updated my CV and my profile sa mga online jobhunting tools, then voila after 2 days may tumawag...then after 1 month nag-move na kmi sa SG with my family.

dami din akong friends na nakapag-settle na dito. yung iba nakapangasawa ng taga SG. at madami ding mga GT sis ang okey ang comment about SG life..
hope I could visit din this place soon and also thailand..

Yes super dami na talaga ng Pinoy here....kahit saan ka magpunta dito e may makakasalubong ka tlaga. So far our life here is super okay. Fully settled na kami after 2 years.

If in case in he future e mapasyal ka...I have a transient room available by October kapag nag-move in na kami sa bago nming house.

Ako naman ok ok lang.  Minsan hindi lang ako masyado masaya sa work kasi yung mga kasama ko, puro mga locals.  somehow ramdam mo na hindi ka welcome.  especially alam nila na hindi ako nagr report sa kanila, at sila nagr-report sakin.  parang iniisip ko pa pano makibagay - na wala din ako masyadong oras dahil sa dami ng trabaho. pero halos 1 yr narin.  so far ang mindset ko eh puro work lang. pero sa pinas kasi mas madali makibagay.  dito, parang they resent na may foreigner (asian pa) silang ni-r-rerportan. or kung may napromote ka or may raise, parang ramdam mo hindi sila happy for you.

hi mga sis, i need help. i have a tourist visa and will expire next year. so ill be leaving the country before my visa expires. while nasa U.S ako, ano po kaya ang gagawin ko, saan ako lalapit at sino lalapitan ko so that i could get a working visa.?

then, my boyfriend.. wala pa po syang visa. and i wanted him to be with me pag punta ko ng states. and okay naman sya dun. problema namin wala pa syang visa. im scared na ma-deny sya. ano kaya ang maganda para makakuha din sya ng visa kagad? thanks po.

Well, it depends on what skill set you have. Not to burst your bubble, but it's tough in here right now. I've been here for more than a year and still jobless, although I'm not also allowed to work since I'm under H4 visa. So you'll be in the same scenario as I am. Looking for an employer who would be willing to sponsor us for a working visa.

If you are in the healthcare field, you may have a chance. PTs and OTs are still being hired. But if you are a nurse, you won't have a chance either because nurses cannot be filed under H1B visa, they have to be under EB3 which is still retrogressed. So bottom line, it really tough in here. I have friends who are accountants that were layoff. Unemployment is still high so don't expect too much when you get here.

I was able to get a 10yr us visa (i think it's b1/b2?) for a training. I want to work abroad, too, though not necessarily in the US.

okay lang sakin kahit anong work. any kind of work will do mabigyan lang ako ng working visa. syempre yung good compensation.

I came to the US July this year under spouse visa. I've been married to my Asian-American husband for more than 2 years already. We have a baby boy, who is dual citizen (Filipino-American).

I got my green card 3 weeks after I arrived in the US so that's really a blessing.
