Paano kayo nakapunta sa abroad? (ways and means)

Im a Registered Nurse here in Georgia USA. Ive only been back here for just over a year. I was born in the Philippines, to a US Citizen father. My (estranged) dad decided that i should stay with him when i was 14 years old. Im now 23.  I lived in California till I was 18 and moved back to the Philippines for college cause I wanna be with my mother. I came back after I graduating and passing the NCLEX. I now work a very well known hospital here in Atlanta and live on my own. Im not really happy with my job, tho the pay is good, i feel like i should be doing something else. I was actually forced to take up nursing I decided to try my luck and took a Nursing board exam for Georgia instead of California. Thank goodness I passed. I actually plan on teaching, maybe 4-5 years from now, as a clinical instructor I hope.

na burnt out sa previous job. and to save face (high paying job kasi yung previous work ko) I decided to work abroad. I applied sa isang recruitment agency and yun after 2 months naka alis na ako..

From what I have observed the past year... there sure are, up to this date, a lot of  hotel job openings in Dubai. 
Qualified people get themselves over there as tourists, look for the jobs, then the hotels apply and get for them the Resident Permits ... which is the equivalent of Work Permits (the latter they have none of in their current govt admin system)

my bf's friend in college sponsored me here in UAE. sa kanila din ako nagstay while waiting for my working visa. pero sagot ko yung pamasahe ko at visa. napadali nga ang pagpunta ko because of my mom's condition.

how much normally ang magagastos para mag-ayos ng papers going to australia or canada? and ok ba yun mga online assessment? mas expensive ba yun or same lang? kung allowed ng mods, pwede ba ishare nyo yun agency or office where you had your papers fixed and yun cost. ay may DIY ba nun? pero i bet mahirap noh kasi that's why agencies proliferate.

ano bang klaseng visa ang gusto mong applyan? kasi don mo mabebase kung magkano talaga ang kelangan mong pera eh. mas mura kapag online ka nagapply, kapag naman nag solicitor ka may bayad syempre at may makakausap ka kung ano ng status ng application mo...

I went abroad as tourist usually sa Asian countries muna ako nag start kasi mas madali makaalis then nag apply ako ng work abroad para mas matagal akong mag stay luckily i was accepted immediatelly walang kahirap hirap wala ako masyado ginastos kahit placement fee employer ang gumastos lahat so super enjoy kasi you have the oppurtunity to travel anywhere because of my work. now nasa pinas ako and planning again to work or migrate well In God's time.

nagpunta ng singapore ngunit hindi pinalad masyado.
pinilit ng pinsan na lumipat sa Qatar.
and then, ayun na...Qatar is where i belong pala.

OT: naalala ko tuloy yung ex ko, na-broken hearted daw sya sa akin nung nag-break kami kaya he decided to go to the US tourist visa. He met his previous officemate at naging sila. They are now living in the US at ngayon ay US citizen na sila. :-)

I worked for an international company at pinapadala nila kami sa Asia Pacific countries for training and work na din. Then hubby and I decided to migrate ... sabay sabay pa nga kami ng mga friends namin na nag-apply, mga 4 kami.

We applied in NZ having a Work to Residence Visa. Meaning, kelangan makakuha ng skilled job para ma-grant yung residency. In our case, jobless kami at walang job offer when we arrived here, dito na kami nakahanap ng work. So far so good.

Tama si sister Blooming, one of the factor is a reputable school kasi kelangan yun sa requirements, previous job experience, qualifications, english language, attitude, flexibility, adaptability, etc.

nainis ako before sa dati kong work, my officemates are ganging up on me. nagresign ako at nagdecide ako mag tourist sa SG. luckily, after 3 weeks of job hunting, nagka work na ako.

If I were to choose, I'd love to work in Singapore for a year or two, just to learn how Singaporeans conduct business. I also love how efficient and "walkable" Singapore is and the fact that it's a nature- and eco-friendly state is a huge plus. You can hike, travel to nearby countries, experience the culture of Asia, and at the same time, not feel unsafe when you're out and about.

However, I'm fine where I am now. We just opened an office in San Francisco business district and, so far, I like that people are more receptive to our services. I also like how you can charge people an hourly rate without them low-balling you, unlike in Singapore where Filipinos get paid lower than Singaporeans.

I've been working here in Singapore for 6 yrs. Thru agency based sa pinas ako na-hire. That time super liit lang ng salary ko. Hindi ako nagresign until I got my employment pass. Job hopping ako para makuha ko salary na sa tingin ko maka meet sa gusto kong lifestyle. I couldn't attest if our salary is lower than the locals here. Maybe it depends on your field. But definitely not in our company.  Our salary is based on your band level. Lowest is A1 and highest is D band. D band are the CEOs. But for every band level, there's a salary range. I think I'll stay here for another 10yrs or so 

I owe Singapore so much. I came here I was still single, tapos nagka bf, nag asawa, and now we have a 19 month old son. Permanent resident na Kami.  And dito natupad dreams ko specially ang pag travel at pag invest

graduated 2006, nag work ng 1.8 year in 2 companies sa pinas. nag hiatus ng 2008 gang 2010. if youre asking what ive been doing, I rested and tried freelance working c/o odesk. i decided im still young to stay at home and i meet no people while working at odesk so i went to sg as a tourist on march this year, wasnt able to find a job so i came back in pinas for 3 weeks. May of  this year i tried again my luck. my visa is already expiring until an offer came. i grabbed it immediately then within a week, i received my employment pass and the rest is history heheh.

planning to follow yapeegurl's life (single then mag asawa dito) pero unfortunately tingin ko walang prospective partner dito hehe.
