i am already ehre in beijing and staying at holiday Inn...this hotel sucks big time! good thing 3 days lang kami dito and I'm moving to dalian city na tomorrow...poor service, rude staffs...isipin nyo i am paying around $200 a night, no breakfast, internet i have to pay pa! as in yong rate na yon, room charge lang daw talaga, kainis! tama ka chinita18, sana nabasa ko agad post mo...pinagdeposit ako ng $800 upon check in para sa 3 days ko, duh!

i highly discourage people from staying in this hotel.

yeah, my sis in law didn't wait that long, she checked out and looked for another hotel the next day ... even when we were in shanghai naman, i had friends who stayed at holiday inn there and they were super disappointed too, since they couldn't find any other room at another hotel at that time, they had to change rooms 3 times in one night at holiday inn and just settled with a "pwede na 'to" room ... kawawa talaga, coz they paid a steep price for that ... 

I dont think naman that all Holiday Inn's share the same reputation ... I have stayed in one in London and there wasn't any problem naman ... 

MY TIP: check hotel reviews first in the internet before booking, para you have first-hand experiences of other travellers ... try tripadvisor.com ... reliable site 

Enjoy Dalian city ... haven't been there, let me know how it went

good thing we never experienced that.. well i guess we have our own stories to tell, own experiences, so far we never had any bad encounters with hotel staff there..

saang agency dito kayo nag-apply ng chinese visa? pinakamura ko naencounter, mga P1600. may alam pa ba kayo na ganun din ang price?

my visa was $80 one time entry lang for a month. This would be my 2nd time in dalian, I stated in Zhong shan hotel. I was satisfied kaya im going to stay there again, sana lang doon ako nai-book hehe hindi kase ako nagbo-book sarili ko, someone else does it for me.

Dalian is nice naman, i hope ganun pa rin this time..the last time i was there malamig kase kaya nagustuhan ko talaga now daw mainit na...dito sa beijing, mainit pero at least hindi naman yong tipong manlalagkit ka.

Nakakaaliw lang kase 8pm na may araw pa din then expect ko the following day madilim pa ang past 5am, maliwanag na din, ang igsi ng gabi dito hehe

^Hi sis. I suggest Days Inn Forbidden City. Dun kami nagstay ng family ko nung April. Maganda yung hotel kasi bago pa.

ang nabasa ko sa website:
- passport
- app form with pic
- round trip tickets
- hotel voucher (what if side trip lang?)

plan kasi namin side trip to shenzhen from HK.

Is it just me or ayaw na talaga ma-access yung China thread 1?

Anyway, we're going on a HKG-Macau-Beijing trip come September. We'll be bringing our 3year old. Di ko lang sure though how many days we should stay in HKG and how many days in Beijing. Around how much pocket money kaya should we bring? Assuming we'll visit tourist spots lang in Macau, go to Disneyland and Ocean Park in HKG, then visit tourist spots as well in Beijing? Not much shopping.

Also, are taxis/buses/trains readily available in Beijing? Ayoko sana mag-tour group kasi I want to have our time in our hands. Mahirap kasi we have a toddler.

Any suggested itinerary for Beijing?

i was fooled by a taxi driver in beijing kaya ingat, pag nalaman nilang foreigner ka, ililigaw ka, just like dyan sa atin hehe

we were at Zhuhai a week ago..we were there 5 days..di masyadong enjoy kasi maulan..lagi lang kami sa hotel ni baby ko. Stayed in Holiday Inn..okay naman dun..laki ng room namin..sa executive floor..everything in the mini bar is complimentary..they replenish it everyday. Sarap din ng BF buffet sa executive lounge. overall stay was nice naman.Sobrang nice naman ng mga staff nila..Room service okay lang din..generous serving.

napasyalan lang namin yun Fishing Lady statue sa Lover's Avenue. kainis..di ko man lang nakita yung underground market na sinasabi nila. well binawi ko na lang sa HK yung konting shopping.
