How do you prevent your bag na magtuklap or magbakbak? Is it because of our hot climate din ba?

we bought my husband's bag at kenneth cole rustan's makati.. June 2012 lang siya nabili. and a week ago i noticed a big tear sa pinagahian ng bag strap at leather.. kalurks kasi we bought it for almost 11k.. where do i bring it? =(

Try to place silica gel packs in the dust bags with your bags. This absorbs moisture preventing molds and softening and eventually hardening and breakage of the bag linings.

^ganyan din problem ko nagbakbak nalang lagi bags ko. Maganda pa yung loob pero sira n talaga yung skin ang panget na 2nine west and aldo bags nasayang lang tsk!

May I know where we can buy silica gel packs? Natuklap na rin [textspeak!] LV ko na epi dahil magkadikit yung strap sa body nung bag! Naloka ako when I saw it!

are these leather bags? leather kasi dries out over time tapos it peels and flakes. so to prevent that from happening you can apply leather conditioner. silica gel kasi it draws out moisture to prevent molds, pero it doesn't help with yung condition nung leather.

help naman po... i have this bag na sobrang okay pa ng itsura nya.ang problem lang is nabakbak yung soft leather nya sa may handle area.sana marepair pa..yung sa loob nya is tela lang naman.. saan ba may murang pagawaan? kasi di ko afford ang sobrang mahal.The Sak yung brand ng bag.. so ayoko naman gumastos ng mahal just for the repair... pls help ...thanks

Ano klaseng leather ba yung okay? Some salesladies kasi say na better daw ang leatherette? Kesa genuine or synthetic leather? Also I'm confused whether I should spray like waterproofing aerosole shoe spray or use something like MC or pledge.

How do you get rid of white spots (parang molds) on your LC bag? I haven't used mine since it got wet from beach water and rain in Boracay last year.

I'm a vintage bag addict and I wouldnt turn down a bag just because madumi! wag lang ink stains ha! I use Zymol Leather Cleaner then Zymol conditioner (used mostly for leather car interiors).We all have to remember na ang leather was  skin of a living thing. Need din i-moisturize or else magka-crack. You can purchase Zymol and other leather cleaners/ conditoners in Amazon.Not sure kung saan makakabili nito locally. Other products note worthy on investing is Leather Honey and Lexol. I suggest Zymol on light colored bags and Leather Honey on darker colored ones. Pinaka madali gamitin ang Zymol. To waterproof your leather bags naman I suggest mink oil (sometimes in form of creams). dont go buy expensive leather conditioners na mina-market for bags LANG usually mababa ang contents nito ng tamang ingredients, aksaya sa money, hindi pa malilinis yung leather. A little elbow grease,patience and the correct cleaners lang bags would look like new.For the linings naman ng bags I suggest washing in a weak soap solution (like Perla na malabnaw).Its ok mabasa ang leather ng bag as long as mababanlawan naman after (wag lang soaking dripping wet),try using a wet rag to wash and rinse it (think hilamos for the bag ). HTH ! There are a lot of good bags na nasasayang because of poor maintenance. OH  by the way- if you do "wash" your bags, u can use the lowest setting on your hair dryer to dry it-cool setting if you have it.Other wise dry it in a shady part of your home, NEVER in direct sunshine (this will cause more cracking!) then condition/waterproof as necessary.

when i'm not using my bags, i put them in their dust bags then store them in a drawer (piled up, hehe). for bags that i use often, i just hang them around for easy reach.

my problem now is my beige colored leather bag that has accumulated color stains as a result of frequent use. i'm still in search of professional cleaners to do the work.

ito ata problem ko with light colored bags. as much as possible, i buy bags in dark colors because i don't like getting them too dirty.
