when i'm not using my bags, i put them in their dust bags then store them in a drawer (piled up, hehe). for bags that i use often, i just hang them around for easy reach.

my problem now is my beige colored leather bag that has accumulated color stains as a result of frequent use. i'm still in search of professional cleaners to do the work.

ito ata problem ko with light colored bags. as much as possible, i buy bags in dark colors because i don't like getting them too dirty.

I agree with you, pag light colored ang bags mas madali marumihan/stains.if in extreme cases i would recommend a soft bristle brush and a weak solution of Ariel-I just haven't tried this on ink stains YET, okay, pero dirt and grime natatanggal! This worked for my Coach diaper bag, nagkaroon ng grasa (eeep!) as in black grayish maybe during the airport scanning o nailapag ni hubs sa maduming lugar.Panic mode na talaga ako, I even looked up a restoration expert here in Australia (they are in Sydney, I think and nasa East coast-prob ko is I'm from the West Coast!). Since Ariel claims they can virtually remove any stain, I decided to give it a go. Just alternate a damp, not dripping wet cloth cotton rag and the brush dipped in the solution, natanggal! I air-dried it then put on my leather conditioner (Zymol) then air dried it out in the balcony ulit. Ok naman, nakatipid na naman ako

hello sisses i posted this on the lv thread na,pero meron pa palang mas proper thread for this..my 2 y.o. lv batignolles horizontal was really soiled & dirty,so i brought it to Besa's..cleaning nga lang dapat pero di din daw matatanggal yung stains on the vachetta so they recommended recoloring..i thought they'll do a decent job (since they have before & after pics of restored bags naman on their fb page) but to my horror,super pangit.parang may paint lang talaga yung vachetta na semi-gloss & plastic looking. and the color,it was ugly,far from the decent patina color..at nagchichip pa yung paint ha..super fake looking. should've brought my bag to vintage restore instead or lovin my bags instead. would not recommend Besa's recoloring services to anyone. i cannot speak for their cleaning service though, baka ok naman pala yun..thank god, after using my leather conditioner on my bag, nadidissolive nya yung paint. so my bag's back to normal,pero super effort talaga. i hate Besa's.

i saw this product Waxco Home Care brand, Leather Guard from Handyman, pwede ba sya to protect bag fabrics?

^ if you mean bags made of canvas/thick cloth I would recommend Scotchguard-sort of waterproofs (not 100%) and dirt proofs it.

where can I buy "dust" bags to store my bags?
Parang kacha ba yun or canvas ang fabric para breathable?

Usually kasi I just put it in big plastic boxes (gallery, familia, megabox brands, etc)
Kaso it seems it's not good, even w/silica gels inside the box/bag,
dapat yata exposed ang bags with air, same with shoes.

@agape, never put leather inside plastic since leather needs to breathe.   take an old cotton pillowcase and put your bag in it, functions just like a dust bag.

thanks for the suggestion, [textspeak!], i will use the pillowcase i don't like to use sa bed or old na.
i put kasi my shoes/bags dun sa under-bed na plastic box. Weird lang kasi some boxes don't have holes for ventilation (like the one's I saw at Howard Storage). Sa SM i was able to get shoe-box na meron vertical holes on the sides.

where should i bring my bag for cleaning and re-dye? besa's or vintage restore? is their a big difference in their rates?

help sis.. my tita gave me a dirty gucci bag pinag gamitan niya she said original ..I tried to clean it gently kaso mukang madumi pa din.. pati handle madumi tignan gusto ko ipa repair, sa vintage restore, mga mag kano kaya?  ang hassel lang nandito pa ako sa abroad syete !!!  plan ko is ipapadala ko sa pinas then diyan ipa repair.

my husband's Kenneth Cole colombian leather messenger bag got ripped on the side where the long shoulder straps was stitched on.. it was a 2 inch clean & even tearing.. we brought the bag to Herjas a bag repair store here at Retiro, QC near D. Tuazon St for repairs. they charged us Php 350 for the service & we were told that the bag will be ready after 3 days. When we got the bag there was a glue like residue where the tear used to be.. i picked the residue out & lo & behold the bag was almost good as new.. =) so next time i will visit them again for future bag / shoe repairs/ cleanings.. pls take note that they don't have a price list on hand as they prefer to see the item first before they give you a quote.

haayyy mejo nakakahinga na ako dahil dito,yung 3 leather bags ko di pa talaga to nagamit eh! 1 LC planetes at 2 ninewest bags! na ipapasalubong ko sa family pag-uwe sa pinas eh nagkaron ng kulay itim nahawaan lang!
tsk...siguro nag-moist sila sa loob ng balikbayan box kaya nahawaan sila ng kulay black parang light eh sobarng halata kasi parang light biege yung LC handle lang naman pero halata parin eh,saka pink at parang peach/coral yung nine west kaya halata talaga yung kulay itim.nainis ako nung nakita ko kasi sayang at nahihiya na ako sa mga pagbibigyan ko...sana magawan pa ng paraan to!

@hyder0926 - saan location niyan? I have this hot pink Veronica Manila speedy type bag na nagbakbak na yung color. hindi ko na mairampa, sayang. Planning on having it re-dyed kaso nung nagconsult ako sa Mr. Quickie they can only re-dye neutral colours.

I have a vintage Coach na color beige ang leather (calf-skin yata, medyo soft). And since matagal di nagamit, at nakatambak lang sa cabinet, ayun dumami ang mantsa.. Tapos parang nag-set na ang mantsa so andumi talaga tingnan. I'm planning to have it dyed to a dark brown or black color. Pwede ba yun? At if pwede, san ko kaya pwede dalhin? And estimated cost? About medium size lang yung bag..

So sad :-( pinadala ko yung Gucci bag sa vintage restore and hindi nila kaya maayos yung bag ko, huhuhuh... Mag nag dark kasi na certain area tapos nag peel. Nanghihinayang ako talaga  .  Walang service ang Gucci store  like sa lv kahit sa hk para mag repair?

I'm curious with Herjas.  I got this prada bag na 1 year palang sakin, and the leather handle is chipping ng konti. My LV batignolles needs to be cleaned narin.  I will wait for more feedback here, then will see.

un Herjas in between ng Caltex & starbucks sa may Retiro St. mismo.. D. Tuazon & Retiro un landmark for me. but im pretty sure you will not miss the starbucks kasi kanto at katapat nya un Asian Twist na resto. will have my rubber shoes repaired there this week.. they dont have a price list when i asked for it. pwedeng dahil bago pa sila or dahil case to case basis ang presyohan.

before you re-dye your bag, how about cleaning it first? I use these products

I prefer to clean a light colored bag muna before going for the last resort which is re-coloring.I've only tried those on hubby's fave wallet (black) and ang daming grime na naalis .I used it on his leather white shoes at natanggal din yung deep seated dirt.I tried it on a cracked brown Kate Spade na nabili ko sa ukay pero the leather's too far gone I used it to clean a light peach colored leather bag and natanggal din dirt and grime pero not effective for water stains. So kung grime lang baka luminis pa.

paano niyo nalilinis ang coach bags niyo? mostly sa tela siya gawa di ba? my friend kasi ako nung nilinis niya yung bag niya, nahawa un tela ng leather so imbes na luminis lalo tuloy dumumi..
