backread the whole thread, sumakit tuloy mata ko hehe

need your povs mga sis.
years na kami nagpapalaundry sa lavandera ko. tps the 3 senior staffs decided to put up their own, medyo di kasi okay ang ugali ng amo nila and i can attest to that dahil nakaaway ko na rin siya.

so lipat kami sa kanila, satisfied naman ako sa service nila eversince. mas mura pa sila kesa sa lavandera ko. almost 2 years na rin ang shop nila. then maybe due to financial reasons, the 2 withdrew their ownership, bale isa na lang natirang may-ari. pero silang tatlo pa rin ang tumatao sa shop. then last week gusto na raw ibenta, inaalok sa akin. kasi yung owner lumipat na ng house medyo malayo na sa shop. if ever, yung dalawa pa rin naman ang tatao. parang kampante naman ako dahil they are into this business years ago na, and marami naman na sila suki. isa na kami dun. kasi mababait sila saka okay naman ang laba nila. sabi ni owner, around 100k daw nya ibebenta though we have not finalized anything yet. 2 pairs of washer and dryers ata meron sila. actually wala naman na ko gagawin as in itutuloy ko lang yung business. sabi nila nsa 2k/day daw ang gross, mas malakas pa if rainy season. nakikita ko naman na marami sila tanggap pag nagpupunta kami sa shop.

tingin nyo mga sis, good idea if ako ang kumuha ng shop? mag uusap pa kami ulet kasi ipapakita nila sa kin mga records esp mga expenses, actual daily income, etc.

thanks!

^ i think it's good kung makita mo sa records na it's really earning 2k a day. kasi truthfully sa shop ko, i don't earn that everyday.

Good day! I got a lot of insights from all your contributions with regards to the laundry business. Thanks to all of the respondents of this thread.  I have a question that anyone can answer... I plan to open this same business, but the location of the machines would be in our house... and we will be having drop off and pick up centers.  I'm just wondering if I have to get business permit for each of our drop off and pick up stations? TIA!

thanks sa replies, sis rac and sweetsorrow :)
update lang, tinuloy din namin yung shop, pero hindi namin kinuha yung inalok sa min. we put up a brand new shop na lang. kasi when we assessed their assets sa shop na yun eh malulugi agad ako kasi luma na mga machines, tapos need ko pa iparepair at ayusin yung pwesto. buti na lang nakakuha kami ng magandang pwesto. sa ngayon finishing na lang ng shop and we might open na in a week or two.

may question lang ako mga sis, sa area kasi namin bawal ang plastic, so reusable bag is a must. but syempre hindi maiiwasan na walang dalang bag ang customer, besides na dapat malaki esp kung marami ang palalabhan. ano bang ok na alternative? eco bags are not practical i guess, esp on the day to day operation. im seeing some laundry shops use Manila Paper, kaso there was a time na nagpalaundry ako and yun nga i forgot to bring my bag, so dun nila nilagay. madali sya mapunit, nakakailang bitbitin. also for comforters, anong ginagamit nyo lalagyan?

to : ms. gcarrie:

pag bumili ka ng established na business o laundry ang binabayaran mo hindi lang ang cost ng machines, which may be old na, kundi [textspeak!] goodwill na na establish nila for the period na nag e exist sila. ibig sabihin, meron na silang sure customer para umandar ang business.  As new laundry, kailangan mo pang maghanap ng mga customer, which would take mga 3 mos. or more.

^hi sis raphie, yes, you're right :) yung 2 kasing staff from that laundry ang kasama ko nagput up ng new shop. marami rin kasi sila nawala na customers on that shop kasi hindi maayos. so now they are getting them back and most of them pumayag na and waiting for our opening na lang.
but of course kailangan pa rin ng new customers :)

Hello! I read all the posts in this thread. THANK YOU for all the info :)

I'd like to share that we are opening a laundry shop soon. We got SpeedQueen washer and dryer from the mall appliance store, 12 months to pay at 0% interest. We trained at BusinessCoach, but not enough for the hands on part. Right now, we're looking into completing the setup, naming the store, hiring staff (trained na ba or sabay-sabay kaming mag train?).

Thank you! This forum is really helpful and empowering. 8)

question din po...

we just opened our laundry shop. yung friend ng hubby ko got interested in the business and gusto magtayo ng pick up station tapos sa amin ibabagsak.

pano po pag ganun? like legalities, dapat ba gamitin nya name ng shop namin? pricing, dapat ba ibaba namin un price sa kanya?

any inputs po?

hi mga sis, we just opened a laundy shop a month and a half ago. ok naman, medyo malakas yung shop. right now, we have a brand new american home gas dryer, and we're thinking of buying another, yung second hand lang. isip namin whirlpool electric dryer naman. any feedback? sabi malakas daw sa kuryente, but i have no idea gaano yung "malakas". for the gas dryer we're consuming a 22kg gas in less than 2 weeks.

thanks!

heto na ulit ako after hibernation ;D

STAFF: i would recommend kung makakuha kayo ng 1 staff na atleast marunong maglaba, and atleast medyo may edad na, mga 30s pataas...then, rest of your staff puwedeng bata na mga 20s. 2 staff puwede na sa umpisa, if possible 1 female at 1 male. yung male mapapakinabangan mo sa delivery.

LOCATION: mas of if malapit sa residential yung shop mo, if possible malapit sa school or dorm or condos.

EQUIPMENT: for a start, puwede na yung 1 washer, 1 dryer, 1 washing machine, then of course, hanger, hamper, brush, basins, timba etc.

FREE deliver and FREE pick up kami within the vicinity.

have a nice day! go lang ng go! go negosyo. :)

handling of staff pa pala.

since i still have an 8-5 job, i put up a system na kaya kong imonitor if nanloloko mga staff ko.

i have 2 branches na at paiba-iba sila ng assignment.
meron taga receive at sort lang,
taga laba,
taga dryer,
taga check after ma fold then taga pack at taga lagay ng resibo..

after office hour, diretso ako sa shop, random check ako from packing, drying, sorting, dapat match lahat sa item notebook at job order.  everyday ko ito ginagawa. then i collected cash and all the receipts, item notebook at cash book.

pag nakasanayan mo na madali na lang.
