IMPORTANT: When calling 171 or 172 to complain about PLDT DSL, do not forget to ask for the NAME of the CSR first and their ID NUMBER.

That was around 9pm.

I should have asked his name first.  Pagsagot niya, wala man lang, "PLDT HELPDESK, THIS IS.... HOW MAY I HELP YOU?"  Hello lang ang sinabi niya.  Parang antok na inis yung tono niya.

So the usual process, I gave him the info and I relayed the problem.

Ang sagot niya agad, without even checking what's the real issue, "MAY PROBLEMA SA AREA NYO, SA LAS PINAS."

Sabi ko, "Anong specific problem?"

Reply: "Basta may problema sa LP. Nawawalan nga ng Internet."

I told him, "Oh really?  Ano ngang specific problem?  Bakit sa Internet shop namin may connection? Sa LP din yun?  What time mo nareceive yung report tungkol sa problem na yan?"

Reply:"Basta meron nga."

Me: "Can't you at least explain what is it OR you don't really know what you're talking about?!"

Reply: "TEKA"

Tapos biglang may maingay na "TOOOOOOOOT!!!"

Dead air.

He cut me off.

Just like that.

Grabe sobrang bastos talaga.

I called again, relayed the incident to the second CSR.

pero in fairness naman sa csr nila wala pa ako naiencounter na rude lahat naman sila ok and kapag itinawag ko yung problem ko like umaga, tanghali naayos na nila.  ;)

meron bago ngayon sa globe yung P595 plan, kaso limited lang sya up to 30 hours monthly, in excess of this P10/hour na ang charging, up to 256kbps lang din ang speed. pinag iisipan kong maige, our plan right now is 512kbps P995 monthly. sayang din kase yung P400 na matitipid ko, pang chat lang naman namin ni hubby, forums, and pang search lang naman. im not sure lang kung ok yung plan na to, baka sobrang bagal naman.

will that speed be enough?

saka i live in novaliches, medyo malayo sa kabihasnan e
any good feedbacks on this place?

Istorbo daw ako at baka natutulog yung tao. ;D

Bilis na ng DSL dito sa shop. :D

satisfied nman ako sa Bayan dsl dito sa novaliches, even the after-service ok nman so far. napansin ko lang talaga yung mga CSR nila hinde rin ganun ka-professional kausap, their not the type na mae-encounter mo sa mga usual na helplines. good thing lang ngffollowup call sila after mong mag place ng complaint.

dsl samin ay smart bro, in fairness ok naman siya kaya lang mejo nakakaloka na siya if mahangin or maulan kasi nawawalan ng connection every 5min. pero sa normal weather e sobrang ok.. keri lang din ang csr nila, wala pa naman ako na-enconter na bastos so far..

i'm a tech support as well pero sa US account pero may guidelines kami ng sasabihin, grabe  naman yun csr sa pldt dsl. we have our phone names and sinasabi talaga namin yun pero usually we don't give out our id number - sup lang namin nagbibigay nun so if you feel na incompetent yun csr na kausap niyo, you can try asking for their supervisor kasi they follow up the issue, just make sure you ask for a callback para sure na magcallback talaga sa inyo..

"The sup is taking a call right now"
"The sup is at a meeting"
"The sup is not here"

Puro mali-mali and paulit-ulit lang. >:(  I don't believe that there's no way for them to trace kung sino yung agent na naghandle ng call, especially if ni-pull up ng agent yung account details mo on their PC.  I guess tamad lang talaga ang PLDT and walang pakialam tungkol sa lousy customer service nila.  They don't want to bother training their CSRs properly or enforcing good standards for customer service.

Ako sa office, I applied for globe wired broadband, 999 free landline and 386kpbs internet ata.  Not sure about the specs basta alam ko its in the 300 range. It's ok naman.  I wouldnt rave about it kasi sometimes I get disconnected.  At home I have PLDT dsl.  PLDT dsl in paranaque really really sucks.  i hate it so much.  I've been complaining and complaining about the service.  I just hate it!!!

^^ I'm from Paranaque, too.  We just shifted to PLDT DSL from Smart BRO because the hubby wanted a faster connection than the maximum limit of Smart BRO (up to 384kbps lang available nila) and so far so good naman.  I only noticed that the connection becomes slow during the afternoon (around 1-3pm).  Our PLDT DSL plan is the one up to 2mbps (P1995 monthly) and the speed test shows a peak of up to 1.8mbps naman.

Some suggest turning the router off then on again if the connection becomes slow.  Nagwo-work naman (except in the afternoons nga).

Sana tuloy-tuloy na okay.  :o
