i have a tiny 10-inch netbook for school and i installed photoshop, other imaging and photography software, sims 2, microsoft office home and student, a few vista/mac leopard mods and google widgets.

^^ same model as yours! a pink 1005ha! pwede din ang sims 3 though may pagka mabagal.. may keyboard flex din ba sayo? natatakot akong magtype dito pag tahimik kasi super feel na feel at dinig na dinig ko yung flex ng keyboard. parang bibigay

@ rosey: yep. isa yan sa mga problems ng 1005ha, aside from the weird charging problem and the keyboard flex. i think it's the counterpart of "overclocking", or to help the thing from getting overworked. minsan na siyang nag-ingay nung nanonood ako ng videos sa YouTube on super performance mode and pag naglalaro ako ng sims 2.

has anybody tried 1008ha? it's slimmer BUT the battery is not removable. ouch!

^^ my prof has a 701 and it's XP. if you have a techie guy friend, he'll know what to do. if you don't, and if you don't have an external optical drive, this is the process: http://www.eeeguides.com/2007/11/installing-windows-xp-from-usb-thumb.html

I just bought 1005HA

so far, no problem naman, walang ingay yung fan. I am loving it kahit na 1 month ko pa lang sya ginagamit. I super like its battery life. lagpas 8 hours

i finally was able to buy a white Asus 1005HA after much deliberation between this and a Lenovo S10-2. the longer battery life of the 1005HA was what reeled me in. im using it now. very happy so far
