^its' the new Asus eee pc 900! ang cute and widescreen na!
okay naman yata ang linux na OS.. sayang kasi kapag windows OS ang kinuha mu, 12G nalang ang capacity.. pero kapag linux, 20G...


question for asus eee pc users:
can you also watch movies/tv shows thru websites, yung naka-live streaming or hdtv or flash or divx format? supported ba sya ng linux os?

parang gusto ko na nga din ng asus eee! ganda ng asus eee pc 900! been reading a lot of reviews about it!
you have a choice, either 20G with linux OS or 12G with windows...

if ever i get one, i will get yung windows OS..kasi para pwede webcam kapag ym ang gamit.. kapag sa linux kasi, you won't get the webcam function kapag ym eh..

concern ko lang din yung kapag pwede mag-watch ng movies/tv shows sa website.. online kasi ako mag-watch ng tv shows eh..

^you can use the webcam even with the linux OS via Skype, the bundled IM of the EEE. it really does make sense to have the added real estate, ako nga I dont use my eeepc for long periods of browsing coz it's tormenting my peepers. Moreover, you have to adjust font sizes of web pages every now and then. If only some shops will offer a trade-in hehe!

and for sure, they'll be in who-wouldve-thought kind of colors ie fuschia, lilac, bronze, teal etc. hehe!

sis OD, yung new asus eee pc 900 adjusted na ang screen..something like that, para you don't have to scroll sideways all the time when viewing sites.
i have to see for myself pa if kaya ko ang small screen..

^ay i know po sis that's why im lemming for the 8.9" too   as per my lamentation above, sakit sa mata ng 7" ko.

if you're used to a screen at 15" or bigger, even the eee 900 will take some getting used to.

you mean pang ym hindi pwede? binobola lang pala ko nung salesman ng villman, sabi nya kasi pwede raw. i'm really inclined to buy an asus 3epc na. yung 4gb ang memory, yun lang kaya ng budget ko e. i'm planning to use it lang naman for surfing and do some excel works (though i know linux 'to and not microsoft).  pwede ba i-convert ang excel file sa linux and vise versa?

^^ang alam ko, hindi pwede ang webcam/voice chat thru ym kapag linux OS.. yun kasi mga nababasa ko sa eee pc forums...  but you can log on to your ym account using the bundled messenger, Pidgin..it's like a multiprotocol im thing.
but if you are using skype in linux OS ng eee pc, the webcam and voice chat works..

ang dami ng ultra mobile pc na naglalabasan ngayon! nakakalito tuloy sa dami ng choices!

^depende sa package, sis.. kasi yung iba 4400 mAH ang kasama, so that is around 2.5 hours lang yata.. yung isa naman 5800 mAH, so mas matagal ang battery life...

A8J ko sira  na   pati  board at  hinges..  lang  silbi .. tagal pa  ibaling ng tech department.  palaring  nalan  parating na raw ang parts  3 mos na sa  reir  underwarranty.. wag na  kayo  bumili.. asus.  badtrip.

talaga? pero bat yung officemate ko sabi ok naman daw service. Yung sa kanya ata im not sure kung almost 1year or 1year na tapos he needed some repair, nung sinabi sa kanya na ang lead time is 10days, nag irate iratan daw sha, asked for a manager, ayun! binigyan sha ng replacement na bago. mautak! nagwowork kasi for a call center kaya alam kung gano kaimportante ang customer experience

^ Thanks thegreatestview, that's also what my friend told me. The only problem is, I don't know where to get it and how much it is exactly. I've been trying to search online but I've only found 1 or 2 results for the ASUS A8JR, not A8JP. Would you have any idea? Thanks.

A few months ago, nung ipapaservice ko sana yung Neo ko sa PCX, tinanong ko kung ano madalas na mga nirerepair nila. Sabi nila Neo at ASUS. Anyway, kung magpaparepair kayo/service kuahanan nyo ng pic muna yung laptops nyo. May thread kase sa isang forum dati about sa Neo naman ito, binalik nya Neo nya, den after more than 2 weeks puro gasgas na yung Neo nya. Sabi ng service center, ganun daw yun nung dinala nya, e wala naman sya proof na hindi. MALAS!

^hmm.. i read some na ok naman daw ang Asus na brand for a laptop, durable daw.

i got my asus 3epc laptop na last end May. i bought [textspeak!] 4gb lang, 701 series pa ata yun. mine is color blue, so cute. hehe.  i plan to change the OS from linux to XP, nagre-research pa ko.  may nabasa kasi ko sa ibang thread, yung XP na ininstall nya e 550MB lang na-consume and his laptop is only 2gb!  galing di ba?

^if you got the 701 series with 7a*** serial, then value it, it's a treasure find for eeepc fans. And if I were you id opt for a dual boot, linux on SSD and windows platform on SD card. Nothing beats a fast boot-up on Linux Xandros esply when you're always on the go. It really comes in handy at times.

^serial nya starts with 820 e.. why what's the difference ba? pano yung dual boot? i mean pag open mo xandros pa rin muna ang OS? or one of those SD naka-insert na agad before you open the laptop?
