Using the husband's surname, will you or will you not?

I think when the right time comes, I'll be using a hyphen for my maiden name followed by his surname. I love bf's surname kasi ang cute.

For those who chose to hypenate hubby's surname is it also hypenated in documents cause as far as i was told hypenating husband's surname is not being recognized in governement offices, Just recently i was applying for loan in Pag-ibig i was advised to use my husband's surname alone.

I would love to pero ang toxic mag update nang docu!!! Pila sa PRC, sa DFA... waaa  so wala pa kong ID using hubbie's surname...

One time yung cousin ko may iniwan na package for me sa isang hotel eh she used my hubbie's surname...ginawa ko I brought with me our marriage contract ahehehhe..

right now, im still using my maiden name kasi im still studying when we got married ni hubby (this is my 2nd course) hassle kasi kapag school records mo is maiden name, tapos if i take board exam baka magka problem pa. so now, all of my id's and credit cards, maiden name pa rin gamit ko. wait ko nalang mag-expire silang lahat and matapos board para i can change it to my hubby's surname.. pero type ko rin na hypenated, lalo na if you're a professional para rin i can give credit to my parents..

i started thinking about this issue when i was still in grade school.  that's how excited i am to be a bride. haha. back then, my parents would always tell me and my sister to never ever disregard my father's surname when we get married. if possible, even my mother's. haha. so ever since i can remember, i have been using my mother's maiden name when writing my name. so 4 words agad all my life.

until recently, i got really tired writing my whole name every test, applications etc. plus here in canada they only use the first and last name. oh well my first name is the only one they can pronounce correctly.  so now i only write my first and last name. sometimes, i also write my second name.

anyway, since i love love love my boyfie's surname, i am thinking of using only his surname and dropping my maiden name. pero siguro at first, i'll use both to guide those who know me about the transition from being single to married.

It doesn't really matter - what's in a name anyway? You're still that person irregardless of the name you're carrying.

hubby doesn't care if i use my maiden name or his name but i decided to use his name na lang. one, mahaba masyado kung ihhyphenate ko. and two, it really doesn't matter what surname i use.

there are a lot of women who want to use their maiden name (or kahit hyphenated) for feminist reasons. but for me, irrelevant kasi ang name because i know that i am my own woman. i know my worth naman so it really doesn't matter what name i take. kahit procopia pa yan or kurdapya.

I am japanese citizen so talagang hindi ginagamit ang apelyido ni husband. pero iyong ibang pinay ginagamit nila apelyido ni husband. ang required talaga na gumamit ng apelyido ni hubby sa japan is iyong mga anak pero ang mga asawa hindi. gusto ko naman iyon kasi masyadong ordinary ang apelyido ni husband though alam ko nagtatampo siya because of this.

actually i love it kasi name and maiden name ko napakageneric at sa sobrang common 3 kami ganun ang full name nung highschool ('though different spelling). at least now pag binanggit fullname ko alam ko na ako lang yon.
