Ask ko lang, meron bang specific stores na bumibili ng defective laptops? kasi yung hp laptop ko nasira na, yung mainboard/motherboard daw di na maayos pero pwede pang mapalitan. So i'm thinking of selling it nalang. Other than the motherboard, ayos pa naman yung ibang features like webcam and wifi. Na-oopen siya pero wala nga lang display. And kung anong ideal price for that?

im not sure if there are stores there in pinas that buys defective lappys. but if there's any, they'd probably buy it at 30-40% of the actual market value (2nd hand) because the cost of having the display fixed would be almost half the value of your lappy.

if the problem of your lappy is the LCD, pwede ka magkabit ng external monitor tapos backup mo lahat mga files mo.

help...what's wrong with my laptop kaya? kasi everytime na irerestart siya..hindi na siya mag o On ulit..kailangan pa pagpahingahin ng sobrang tagal bago mag start ulit...i admit madalas siyang nag o OFF bigla dahil nasasanggi ng baby ko yung plug sa sobrang kalikutan niya..nag ooff siya bigla kasi sira na yung battery niya..hindi na nagchacharge..and twice na din nabagsak lappy ko..dahil din sa kalikutan ng baby ko..i had it checked by a technician..and duda niya hardware problem...kasi when he was about to check it..hindi na nag ON yung laptop ko...kasi nirestart niya...so he adviced me to just bring the unit to makati(where the HP service center is)..nakaka inis pa...i tried calling their tech support..i dialled a manila number so i expected a Filipino to attend to my call...pero Indiano nakausap ko...akala ko nga nagjojoke lang eh..yun pala indiano talaga..so i ended up saying.."never mind" diko talaga maintindihan accent niya..promise..parang british na trying hard..badtrip.

yup hardware na yan. let's just hope na hindi ganun ka extent yung damage nyan. otherwise you'll end up replacing the whole board. maybe what you can do is to call Nexxus Technologies, HP partner sila diyan sa pinas and they're reputable naman

The technician told me na yung mainboard na talaga yung sira, hence no displays on my LCD pero na-oon parin. Siguro papapalitan pa dapat motherboard. i'm not sure lang since i'm no techie naman.

thanks peter! tsk tsk..nalungkot naman ako dun...you think it's still adviseable na ipagawa ko pa to...o hintayin ko nalang na bumigay totally? and just buy a new one? huhu..problema ko mahal ang laptop eh! waaahhh...so naging cause nga nito is yung paulit ulit niyang pagkabagsak? and one more thing mr. peter..do you have any idea kung magkano kaya masusugat sakin if incase motherboard nga ang problema?

it says there na there are certain HP notebook models na talagang defective...or merong hardware issues...and guess what...kasali yung akin! sabi naman meron daw service warranty enchancement achoochoochoo..pero sa north america lang..ewan ko lang kung pwede kong i avail yung free repair kahit andito sa phils.? pwede kaya? HP din naman sila...sana pwede..

mga sis, ask ko lang po what to do with my laptop, kasi yung battery na last for a few minutes na lang tapos pag though full charge naman sya.. parang useless na tuloy dahil di ko mabitbit sa ibang place na walang power supply kaylangn continuous sya nakaplug.... mapapalitan ko ba yung batt ni to?!thanks

^Yes. You can buy another battery for your laptop if the battery died down already.

I am so torn between the white and the red vaio vgn-cr353 when I came across this thread... now I am choosing among 3 colors... OMG! Mas lalo akong nalito... please help me choose among the 3 colors (Red, White, Gold)... I love the white one because it looks like the mac I wanted to buy before... but I am a red person (just that the red was matched with a black keyboard that turns me off) most of my things are pink or red (but since most of the vaios I see is pink masyado na akong normal), but when I saw the gold one in person gosh... nagtatlong-isip ako. It is so elegant... I don't want to settle for something na I'll regret... I need your opinions mga sisses! It surely will count... please reply asap, I'll be buying it tomorrow... TIA!

ay naku i swear i won't buy HP again! 3 laptops namin dito sa bahay..puro nagkakaproblema sa motherboard...and yung friend ko from singapore eh nag switch na sa toshiba..dahil nakukunsume nadin kakatawag sa mga indianong call agent..dahil palagi din may problema laptop niya noon..hay nakaka inis talaga..kahapon i went to the  hp service center...ang sabi sakin..85% daw na pwede ma cover ng warranty ang laptop ko...dahil pasok to dun sa may mga defective hardwares...pero pag napatunayan that the damage is due to user's negligence..eh voided ang warranty..malalaman daw ng engineer yun...ang sabi kasi nung nag assist saken...minsan daw nag aamoy sunog..ibig sabihin daw nun na overheat..eh goodluck! yung laptop ko..eversince kahit saglit mo palang nagagamit eh para ng nilalagnat! pano yun? hindi na nila iko-consider?! hayz...ang plano ko kung hindi ma cover ng warranty yung laptop ko eh babawiin ko nalang doon..kaso ang risk is kailangan ko padin magbayad ng diagnostic fee..which is 1k plus!

the longevity of your lappy depends on how you use it. if it suffers from mishandling and neglect, its lifespan would be short. it doesn't matter whether its HP, Dell, Toshiba or Mac. lahat ng lappy sis kung hindi proper ang ventilation or hindi nililinis yung exhaust vent niya eh magooverheat talaga
