if the processor is good for gaming, what more for other tasks like desktop publishing, graphics manipulation etc. cause when you say its good for gaming it means it can handle huge amounts of calculations per second

I need to put in memory in my laptop. Mabagal na kasi siya. How would I know kung anong ilalagay ko? I've already checked the net, ok ba yung Kingston? I don't know kung anong ok na GB ang dapat kong bilhin. Any suggestions?

first, make sure about the spec of your memory baka DDRII 533 or some other sayang lang kung mali mabibili mo. also you have to check kung hanggang ilang RAM lang pwede sa lappy mo. Kingston is one of the best so ok lang you just need to know the tech details of your RAM

want to seek help from you.. hindi kasi ako familiar sa laptop specs e... but i need to buy one kasi maloloka na ako dito sa singapore kung wala... i plan to buy in september pa para makaipon muna.. kaya lang hindi ko alam kung anong brand ang bibilhin ko... i only have SGD1500 na budget... any recommendations?  ang use ko lang naman sa laptop is basically for surfing and photoshopping... i have no plans to configure it as a server or even do work-related things hehe... also, if possible, specs na pwedeng mag remote desktop connection just in case na need kong mag work from home...

so far.. toshiba pa lang ang nakikita kong oks ang specs and affordable as compared to acer or dell or hp.. oks ba ang toshiba.. A6200 ata yung model.

processor: at least 1Ghz
memory: at least 1GB
hard disk: at least 120GB
video: at least 128MB shared

optical drive, USB port, bluetooth, wifi etc.

what's the normal cpu temperature of a laptop esp. dual cores? i think mine's awfully high. for typical surfing, it reaches 60 degrees up. when i ran a stress test last night wala pang 10min umabot ng 91 degrees celsius (max). normal pa ba to? i'm very alarmed na...

thanks, bro! very much appreciated!  for the past 2 days, parang na-convince ako ng friend ko na mag-macbook hehe... pag nag-fit sa budget ko.. baka un na ang kunin ko... [textspeak!] 2.4ghz nila na 160HD...  but still.. check ko pa ang budget ko kung kaya... pero kung may makita akong swak na specs na less than 1.5K  sgd, baka magbago pa isip ko hehe...

sis you can buy AMD TV Wonder HD600 Hi-Speed USB TV tuner. you can check out those computer shops in gilmore if they have it available.

i went to gilmore this afternoon to look for a tv tuner for laptops but most of the stores i visited don't have it. i found one but it still needs an antenna, which can be bought in raon. hassle. is there a tv tuner which doesn't need a separate antenna? is it true that you need to have cable tv to get a good reception? my dorm most likely won't have cable tv so i need a tv tuner which can function well with local channels. can anyone please help? i'll go crazy without tv during weekdays...
