babythug28: Research mo Blue Cross http://www.bluecross.com.ph  , in-patient yung core plan nila. For my husband and I (31-35 age bracket), it's 6,858 each a year for 500k coverage per disability per lifetime. Pwede mo rin piliin na 80-20 co-pay if you want a 25% discount on your premium. May option din to add outpatient and dental services, pero sa mahal nung prices, masmura pa na kami na lang direct magbayad.

ok sis thank you. yun nga, akala ko mali yung napili ko dun sa may Get Quote part. nasa 10k na annually pero not bad pa din for semi-private considering aabutin pa ng 20k ang 3d2n stay sa hospital (hotel lang ang peg talaga nila sa presyuhan) hehe

^ sis eto ata yung list of providers nila including yung hospitals

http://www.bluecross.com.ph/pdf/ProvidersList_2014-01(Jan)_Final.pdf

sis ikaela, so lahat ng nasa list na yan pwedeng magamit ng Standard policy nila, tama ba? kasi yung trusted hospital ko talaga is Chinese General Hospital and their semi-private is good enough na for me. kahit taga Cavite pa ko, dinadayo pa din namin yung Chinese (like nung nadengue si hubby) kasi mas mahal yung cost of hospitalization dito sa min.

@sis ikaela yung 6858 that's for disability lang? No inpatient services or whatever? Thanks.

Okay, sa Blue Cross, you choose whatever hospital you want, whoever doctor you want. That's why I chose them, because I travel a lot, to far-flung provinces and places, and walang HMO na ganun ka-comprehensive yung list of accredited hospitals/clinics/doctors. The catch: reimbursement sila. So kung may mangyari, you have to pay out-of-pocket, then file a claim, then kapag pasok sa coverage ng plan mo, that's when Blue Cross pays out.

No, I have not tried claiming from them (which I'm thankful for). And their core plan is in-patient, meaning ang coverage is kapag ma-hospital ka lang. Meron maliit na coverage for emergencies not requiring hospitalization (up to 5k ata), and may mga additional services for when you travel abroad. If you want out-patient and dental benefits, you have to pay extra, which for me isn't sulit if you're a healthy person.

^^Yang link na yan, those are the Blue Cross accredited providers that are under their Access plan. If you add Acess to your plan, you can go to those providers without having to pay out-of-pocket first. Swipe ka lang ng card mo.

Hope this clears things up. All this information is on their website.

^ great. thank you sis. reimbursement for in-patient is better na din i think kesa naman sa wala talagang makukuha at all. besides, lahat naman should really spare funds meant for emergency purposes. kumbaga magiging back-up na din tong BlueCross for us since we often use credit card din naman pambayad sa hospitals (twice na).

thanks sis for the information and for letting us know about Blue Cross.

Caritas Health Shield, Inc. is a 10 year program plan pero payable sya ng 5 years lang, so lumalabas may 5 years ako na libre, fix rate for 5 years pero increasing ang benefit yearly.  madame plan option depende sa budget at sa needs.

Hi mga sis considered ba na pre-existing condition yung annual check-ups if you are a cancer survivor? Kasi technically you don't have the condition na naman but you have to monitor. What is usually the policy in this case?

Hi,

Question lang,  Who have experienced being given the 20% discount for senior citizens before charging the remaining bill to the HMO provider? Or is it once you have HMO you cannot combine it the SC discount?  TIA!

Okay ba ang Blue Cross?
Since reimbursement sila, mabilis ba ang process at mahigpit ba sila?

Kaiser insurance is okay :)

They cater to a long term healthcare, life insurance and investments na din.

1. Long-term healthcare they offer premium which is payable by 7-years.

2. Life Insurance - for your loved ones na maiiwan mo twice sila makakakuha ng amount :)

3. Investments after payment mo 7-years it will mature after 20years 10% interest per year. :)

Super okay siya 3-in-1 na :)

^^Lahat naman ng HMOs may comprehensive coverage plan for individual accounts. Medicard, Maxicare, Philcare, Insular Care, Fortunecare, Blue Cross, etc. kumpleto -- kasama consultations, dental, annual checkup, emergency care, out/in-patient care, and hospitalization. Nasasayo nga lang which one you deem to be cost-effective and worth paying money for.
