ill be going to ny this first week of march. malamig pa kaya during those times? my friend advised me to bring a coat/jacket. i bought a down/puffer jacket and a fleece jacket.

are those enough? im wondering

It's still usually cold in March, below 10C.  But I think your jackets woud be fine.  Mahirap lang naman kung matapat na malakas ang hangin.

ok lang yan... pa-spring naman na... when i was there march din, down jacket at sweater lang gamit ko, usual jeans lang sa baba no thermals, kaya naman and we were roaming NYC from 9 am to 11 pm lakad [textspeak!] ng lakad hehe

spent xmas eve in ny last dec but we just stayed in the hotel for the rest of the night after dinner as kids were already so tired from walking. besides, giniginaw na kami as weather gets colder na paghapon. we were just too lucky that kids were able to experience playing with snow as there was a snowstorm the day before we arrived in nj... stayed in crowne plaza & i highly recommend it as the hotel is just a walking distance to times square, just a few steps to m&m/hersheys & almost all major streets. nilakad lang namin to 5th av & central park.

try www.kayak.com.  it gives you the rates from different airlines.  put nyc as destination so that you get both jfk and newark airports. you have to play around with the duration or the day in the week you want to travel.  that makes a difference also.

^Snow usually starts at the start of Dec. Although kapag nagsnow na, it means below freezing na yun. So below 32F na. Kung galing sa 'Pinas, I'd say that's pretty cold!

still on a high from me and hubby's NYC trip a few weeks ago (mid-March). medyo umulan lang nung isang weekend pero the rest of the days perfect na yung weather! first week namin medyo malamig pa pero the following week it was around 70s na ata. pwede ng mag tshirt lang

really enjoyed our trip here. hubby has been to nyc many times before but it was my first time so we did all the touristy stuff during the first week: Times Square, Central Park, Metropolitan Museum, Empire State, Rockefeller, Liberty Island, St. Patricks, South Seaport, Chinatown, Soho, etc. We watched the Today Show live and saw all the hosts! Plus we also got to watch David Letterman show live. We also visited Katz Deli (when Harry met Sally Deli Scene) for their pastrami on rye and corned beef on rye (yum!). The one thing we were not able to do was watch a Broadway play. We just took the Path trains and subway to get around

Also enjoyed Niagara Falls and shopping at the outlets in Niagara and in Woodbury Common.

Can't wait for our return trip to NYC. Hoping that i will experience autumn in NY soon.

June in NYC is not cold. But if you're coming from Manila where I heard the heat is sometimes unbearable, you might still find it cold. Better bring light jackets, and change to heavier ones during night.

If you are not comfortable with heels. Wear flats! You'll be doing a lot of walking in NYC.

With an average Filipino budget, Woodbury Outlet is better. They have designer brands that are cheaper than the regular price (but most of the time, from last season). Woodbury's CCO sucks. If you want to splurge, Saks Fifth is heaven!! I love Macy's too, it's huge.
