sana legality of divorce na lang ang gawing bill instead of this one:
http://ph.news.yahoo.com/congress-pushes-bill-against-sexual-infidelity-131042933.html

mahirap din kaya kumuha ng evidence to prove the sexual infidelity.  except siguro pag you have caught them in the act, hehe

Realistically in my opinion (only), divorce needs huge settlements in favor of the aggrieved party even though in some annullment cases(they are some  real collusions involved)If I'm not mistaken. Overall, money settlements relieves a wounded heart and pride (agree?)

^ True.

Married couples separate and find a way.

Whether divorce exists or not, people who want to work on their marriage will work on it, and those who don't will find a way para maghiwalay.

We need a divorce bill. Then pineperahan pa yung proseso. At the same time dapat gawing mas mabagsik yung child support laws para di napapabayaan ang mga bata.

Im from a broken family. my girl's family too. Our moms need the bill so they can sort out the legal entanglements with conjugal properties, marital status and so they have a chance to be happy again with a person who will be good for them.

The process should be thorough and take time. The bill shouldn't be used as a stop gap for marital problems. And I would prefer they put in a 2 year wait period after divorce before a person can apply for marriage again.  We should also put more teeth into the bigamy and concubinage laws. Divorce shouldn't be an escape route for bad partners.

I am separated but I am not for divorce bill! I still want people to value their marriage. Meron ng annulment, siguro kelangan lang dagdagan yung grounds for annulment.

You know even in countries where there is divorce, hindi naman nagpapakasal ang mga tao ng ganun-ganon lang and they don't just file for divorce just like that. Actually, it takes a lot more to file a divorce. A lot of couple here in Canada even go through marriage counseling bago mag-decide na mag-divorce. It is also emotionally draining.

^ i agree, parang last resort na talaga ang divorce di  ba?  i remember a friend in the US befre she got divorced, they went through a lot of marriage counseling kasi nga even their lawyer said na last resort daw ang divorce.  parang before you go to the final step, kelangan na ma-prove that the marriage cannot be saved.  twice sila nag-marriage counselling, the first was 3 yrs before the marriage, nag-work out naman, tapos the last one, halos 1 year ata sila nag-marriage counselling before they really decided na mag-divorce na talaga.

^ True. And as I said before, may divorce man o wala, people will do what they want to do.

If they want to really work on the relationship, they will.

If the couple really wants to separate, they will make a way.

^Actually, kung merong divorce sa Pilipinas, the divorce rate is probably really high if not higher than those in the first world countries.

To be honest I'm not that familiar sa divorce so I can't say much on the technicalities of the subject at kung paano siya mag-aapply o mababago para sa mga Pilipino.

Like one of the posts here, torn din ako, 50% pro and 50% anti. I came din from a broken family, tatay ko yung nangangaliwa hanggang ngayon. Mama can't do anything about it, for her parang sige pabayaan, but there are financial concerns din since di naman na sila (nanay ko and younger sister ko) yung priority bigyan ng pera.

Iba kasi yung samin ng husband ko, we were both okay with the idea dahil yun naman talaga balak namin, napaaga lang. Eh paano kung na-pressure lang dahil nagkaanak tapos later on di pala sila okay? Thoughts lang naman.

^ Parang I understand what you mean.

But, that's the least of my concerns. Ang mahalaga for me is to find someone with the same values about marriage.

Napansin ko, a few of those who are afraid of divorce reflects their on fears of ending up with someone na iiwan lang sila just like that. That's not the case naman.

I'm an anti-divorce,para kasing magiging habit na lang ito ng may pera...
But on the other hand,I agree na nasa tao ang kahihinatnan ng pagsasama,

saka bakit ayaw nyo ng divorce eh matagal nang may annulment dito pilipinas. mas panget ang annulment kasi you have to prove pa na may kakulangan yung isa, kelangan mo pa siraan yung isa, and the marriage will seem never to have existed eh at one point naman kahit saglit lang eh you loved each other kaya nga kayo nagpakasal, natauhan lang.

Some people are afraid na mawawalan ng saysay ang marriage. Hindi naman. Hindi naman ganun kadali mag-divorce e. Madaming mga psychological consults and requirements. Parang mas madali pa nga magpa-annul.

For some people, wala naman talaga syang saysay. For some meron, just meet someone na pinapahalagahan ang marriage.
