YES to divorce!
but the legal system should put much weight in it like
whoever has caused the divorce will give a huge portion of alimony and child support. para youll really think twice muna.
dont let it be too accesible din like sa states

kaya sa states statistics say more than 50%  of marriages end up in divorce.
we dont to be like that naman
we must still keep our foundation strong
explore all avenues before letting go of a marriage.
our family-centered trait is our waterloo and our best asset

OUR FAMILY LAW WAS DRAFTED IN A HURRY.

for me, the family code has defects...
i am not for divorce... but i am for changing the annulment procedure, and putting more grounds... but not to adopt the western perception of divorce.

the government and the church may not have the right to decide the internal affairs of the husband-wife relationship... but, they sure have the right to foresee the outcome if divorce would be adopted.

the government and the church do not care whether couples made mistakes by marrying each other. and this is bad, because i also have friends undergoing the painful relationships, not affording the expenses of annulment proceedings, or hiring an expensive lawyer to prove psychological incapacity.

ako atleast make annulment faster, cheaper and easier

di natin maiiwasan na may mga relationship that turn to worse
grabe naman kung abused ka na nga as a wife/ husband
di ka pa makapagmove on sa buhay mo dahil antagal at ang hirap mag pa annul.

but i dont want divorce to be as accessible as it is in the states kita mo more than 50% of marriages don end up in divorce

NO NO NO ako

^agree din ako dyan

saka IMO, annulment is more or less similar to divorce. kasi both process would make a marriage null and void  (am i right?)

^^sis i think kung meron ding divorce dito....malamang same statistics din tayo.....

since walang divorce dito and mahal and matagal magpa-annul so no choice, maghiwalay na lang without going through annulment or magtiis na lang sa current situation nila...

for me, keeping a marriage is a decision between two persons....kahit na may divorce o wala sa Pilipinas....

i'd rather have this than abortion.

kung hindi na talaga masaya, bawasan na ang sama ng loob. people have the right to start anew without any excess baggages.

Allow divorce only for reasons that one is being physically, verbally, financially and emotionally abused by another.

YES to DIVORCE!

Why? I think people have to understand that there's a separation of the Church and state in the country. Wag nyo idahilan ang kasagraduhan ng kasal sa simbahan just so hindi ma-implement ang divorce. Not everyone believes in your faith. Not having a divorce law puts abused women in huge despair. They must have the option to get out of a bad marriage. And if things don't really work out, what can you do, right?  That's life, you gotta move on! yOu gotta start a new life. Remember that you don't marry a person with the goal na mababago mo ng husto ang personality nya. I read in a psychology book that that just makes a couple's relationship more chaotic. Kung alam mong hindi na talaga magbabago yung asawa, you just can't do anything but leave. Certain things are just out of our control, at kung kelangang maghiwalay for the best then it's okay. As what the other poster said, divorce is not that bad. Sometimes it's for the better pa nga e.

Kaya nga piliing mabuti ang mapapangasawa, and don't judge couples who are already cohabitating before marriage, if that's their way to assure kung yung taong yun na nga ang para sa kanila.

No to Divorce.

Malalaki na sila.  Deal with their problems like adults.  Kasi hindi na lang sarili nila ang iniisip nila (for those who already have children).  But there's always an exception to the rule - violence/abuse/addiction.  We can't really be definite about any law.  We have to check up on the circumstances.  Pero yung reason of irreconcilable differences, that is bull****.  Getting to know who the person should be before and not after marrying them.

i don't have a stand yet talaga on the issue, mahirap eh. i'm not married yet so di ko talaga alam.
ideally marriage should be viewed as a commitment rather than an agreement pero case to case basis kase eh. mahirap namang binubugbog ka na eh for better or worse pa din di ba :D pano din kung homicidal pala napakasalan mo... magtiis ka? di mo naman din kase talaga masasabi eh, kaya big risk ang pagpapakasal.
on the other hand i believe in the sanctity of marriage, kaya nga dapat hindi basta-basta o minamadali ang desisyon na ito dahil you will live with it for the rest of your life  ;D

I agree with divorice as long as there are ground and moral rules attached to it other than irreconcilable differences like what they do in the States.

- Adultery
- Violence, physical or verbal
