Hi grandmameshka! Releasing of schengen visa from france is 10 days including weekends. Mejo strict sila ngayon, naghihigpit daw I don't know why. Mabilis lang naman, submit your initial requirements den payment (cash prepare the exact amount) and then biometrics, interview and submission ng lahat ng documents. Tapos bibigyan ka nila ng receipt, nasa likod kung kelan mo kukunin [textspeak!] visa, stamp din nila [textspeak!] passport mo and they will give back to you. U'll bring the passports lang pag bumalik ka na ulit. Goodluck! Bahala na si Jesus sa amin, we were tagged as incomplete requirements ata e but it's not our fault naman. Hopefully we will able to submit d missing requirement on time  (hayyy)
And be prepared, their not as friendly as UK vsf people.

Hotel voucher sis. We went to a travel agency and we booked a tour package from them. We were assured kase by both the tour operator and the agency na okay lang na tour booking certificate ang isubmit and may explanation naman dun [textspeak!] travel operator why wala pang maibigay na individual hotel voucher. Kaso when we submitted it sa agency, the one in window 4 who's asking for the payment and initial docs tagged our docs as incomplete but I don't blame him kase it's a requirement naman talaga. Parang ang weird lang kase [textspeak!] naunang girl sa amin pinabalik sya for her COE. Parang [textspeak!] sa amin ang pagkakaintindi namin e we don't have a choice kase hinde puedeng to follow yung hotel vouchers. We still submitted our docs kase wala na kaming time to reschedule. Ayun.. we have the hotel vouchers na (kelangan ko pang magalit maibibigay naman pala) and the agency will submit it nalang bukas, which I pray maihabol sa docs namin. Kase pag nadeny kami because of that I'll make sure na irefund ng travel agency lahat ng expenses namin kase fault nila kung bakit kami nadeny.

hi sis,i thought kasi if may kilala dun mas may chance na makakuha ng visa because they would ascertain that you do not intend to overstay but just to visit. do you think yun ba reason??

sis san embassy ka nagapply? kasi i intend to apply din sa french embassy and my bf is paying. kinabahan naman ako. sa Paris namin gusto pumunta. 5days lang. kasi kapag walang sponsor, baka tanungin nila ako kung san galing pera ko kasi student lang ako eh.

tiggy79, ano difference ng hotel voucher sa hotel booking confirmation? i applied at the austrian embassy. sabi nung pinoy na consul he personally thinks i dont have enough money daw in the bank kaya i plan to reapply sa french embassy if ever di ako maapprove ng Austrian. sayang kasi [textspeak!] sembreak ko from school kung di ko ibabakasyon

hi 1234md, i don't think there's any difference. Basahin mo yung mga previous comments dito para you have an idea how to get it online. Kase sumali kami sa tour kaya yung tour operator na yung nagpadala ng hotel voucher. Basically ang nakalagay sa hotel booking/voucher, name mo, address and contact number ng hotel. Hope I was able to help.

Thanks tiggy79. I made a booking sa booking.com, they emailed me a confirmation pero wala yung name ko, siguro i'll ask them na lang to e-mail me another confirmation with my name. balitaan mo ako ha kung approved yung visa nyo and how long yung processing. sana approved yung visa nating lahat.

Sorry now ko lang nabasa ito. I really can not tell how much you have to have in the bank. I can only guess, probably double or triple of your estimated trip expense. It was always hubby kasi who had to present his dahil nilalagay ko na sya ang financier ko.

bukas na interview ko with my dad. I hope it will turn out to be ok. We have insurance already, bank certificates, employment certificates, copies ng other visas, itinerary, birth certificates, marriage contract, hotel vouchers etc.

siguro naman hind nila kami pahihirapan kasi complete requirements naman kami and also we do travel frequently.

Hi Crissy, kinuha namin Contiki kase mas mura sya keysa cost saver ng trafalgar. Pati madaming activities yung puedeng gawin kase mga 18-35 yrs. old kasama. We didn't know na puedeng magbook sa kanila online kaya nag local agency kami, thinking na mas magiging madali yung process. Unfortunately for us, we made a terrible mistake I'm just holding on to my faith and praying talaga kase it's out of our hands now.

Okay lang yan Crissy puede daw until 38 as long as okay ka dun sa mga activities na kasama sa package. Yun nga lang ang mga kasama mga bagets na tiga australia kaya naku feeling ko magugulo talaga sila at puro inuman eto..hhehhe. Taking off from my last post.

I had my interview last week. I was in the waiting room around 50 minutes before my appointment. I was called 15 minutes before my scheduled time. I submitted all the previous documents and I disclosed ALL of my assets na this time.

Some other docs I passed: bookings of future local travel with approved leave form, gym membership, employment contract, employment ratings for the past 3 years, 2 years worth of ITR, affidavit of parental consent. On top of the docs I passed is the checklist of everything and a heartfelt letter requesting for my application reconsideration.

The interview/grilling session lasted for 25 minutes. The girl was actually quite thorough. She inquired about my itinerary. This is where my DIY hardwork paid off. I believe she asked all the right questions. Kudos to her. Some questions were repeated but that was fine. Wala namang mahirap na tanong since everything is about the trip and my life here. We went through all the documents. My tip:

Lunch time today, I went to the embassy to get my passport. I had to wait for 30 minutes for my name to be called. Then my name was called, and then an Italian consul (he was a consul I believe) grilled me with more questions. Nothing difficult. Same set of questions, about my work and itinerary. And if I was meeting anyone there. Yes, solo traveler nga eh. So I was just consistent that I will be by myself. After 30 nerve-wracking minutes, my name was called.

Today, I am a holder of a 30-day multiple entry Schengen Visa. I requested for 24 days lang and I will not be going out of Schengen states.  But I am not complaining. I won't be deviating from my IT anyhow. I am also requested to report back to the embassy to avoid being blacklisted. But that is fine.

Thanks to all those who helped me in my itinerary. It helps when there's support.

hi sis,i can feel what you felt when i received my refusal letter  i also cried buckets then because europe is really my dream destination and i really expected that i will pass    i cannot do anything, i even asked my cousin who knows someone inside the embassy to give me another chance but they said it's only by appealing in the court of Lazio that they will re assess my visa application. i asked my bf to get me a lawyer but it would take months,so i opted to wait nalang next year to apply again. to divert my attention with this failed schengen application i applied for an australian visa nalang,i'm waiting for the results now.

Hi sis cosmotrina! I just read this. I've been avoiding this and other European-related thread while waiting for the results of my reapplication. I hope I'm not too late. I really know how you feel sis. Kainins talaga. 

I'm not sure what are the reasons for your denial. In my case, I was denied with reason #3, #8, #9 of the refusal form.

I researched more on this and I came up that I just have to establish my rootedness here. Actually, the documents I presented during the first application will already be able to address these reasons for denial pero ang hirap naman kasi kapag hindi personal appearance.

I think you can reapply - I hope you still have time. Unless you were denied for any other reason kaya?  It is reapply vs. appeal. Appeal is longer and more costly.

I secured my personal appearance via email. They replied within 24 hours. Date of my appointment was set two weeks after. Processing time took 7 working days.

Then again, I was ready with my Indochina trip in case my visa will not be granted. Haha! Tama din you distracted yourself.
