Schengen Visa Application

Hello,

I am a resident of Spain na kasi nagpakasal ako sa isang Spanish national. 1 year na din ako dito.  Dati naaalala ko na madali lang magapply ng Schengen VISA kasi I was working in Singapore before I came here.  madali lang talaga magapply sa Singapore, sa pinas baka mas mahirap.  Anyway, feel free to ask me if you have any questions.  Medyo madaming beses na din ako nagapply ng Schengen Visa.

Hello mga Sis,

Can anyone please tell me how would one know if approved ang SchenGen Visa? Kasi sa US embassy pag hindi nila binalik sa yo yung passport mo after the interview, it is approved (well at least based on my experience). So I don't know kung same process applies sa German Embassy. And also nakalimutan ko magbigay ng print out ng accomodation ko. Will that matter?

By the way,I applied thru German Embassy. The company I am working for wanted me to be trained in their site to make sure that the processes they have are being mirrored here in Manila (isa po akong call center employee  ). Anyway, yun bang 14 days processing time, does that include yung pagdeliver nila ng passport? Sorry ang daming tanong kasi hoping akong makatravel pa din. Kasi if I receive my visa after next week pa, then the travel is a no go. Eh I havent been outside the country although my US visa ako

^You will know right away if your application is approved or denied. At the German embassy, they will get your passport and courier it back to you with the visa already attached. The processing time includes the delivery of your passport.

Thanks mama squeak!  So most likely Monday latest ko pa sha makukuha kasi 12th processing day is Friday. Yay!

Does anybody know how far ahead can i apply for a Schengen visa?

Longest country of stay is Italy so I guess I need to apply with the Italian Embassy.

I'm planning a trip for october 2012 and I wanted to apply as early as possible so that I can book the hotels early to get the lowest prices.

You can apply at the earliest from 3 months prior to your intended departure date. Nothing earlier. Same ruling for all embassies issuing schengen visas.

when you got approved,gaano katagal yung duration na binibigay nila for a tourist visa sa schengen?

^depends on your itinerary sis. They can give you as much as 90 days max.

^yung sa friend ko binigyan daw sila ng 1 year..multiple entry daw..pwede pala yun?ang alam ko nga 90 days lang ang maximum eh.

^Sis baka one year validity ng visa niya, but she could only stay sa Schengen area for a total of 90 days only.

hello i'm new here sa thread. i applied sa italian embassy last july and was denied can i ask how many months before pwede ulit mag apply?? i have complete requirements naman but still i was refused,they say it's hard to get a visa if you are single,is that true? if i apply again,would you advise me to apply again sa italian embassy? since i heard they are really strict there since pinakamadaming tnt filipinos dun. thank for your answers....

Naku sis, pinapakaba moko. Day 12 na ng processing ko. I am also single and doing a DIY Europe tour. I also have complete requirements. Did they mention why you were denied? Napapraning ako!!!!

Are you also funding the trip by yourself or you have a sponsor?

^^What's the reason why they denied you and what are the requirements you submitted?  It's important to find out the reason why so that in your next application, alam mo what to submit.  Single or not, it's really hard to get a visa in Italian embassy.  Why don't you call again their hotline and ask for appointment- they will tell you naman if ever hindi ka pa pupwede, just mention to them that you applied last July and you were denied.

What were the questions that they asked you during your appearance? You can start thinking of the possible reason from there. I'm not sure if the Italian embassy is more stringent but I am also single and I applied via the French embassy on my own and didn't have any problems. 

From experience (I have been denied a Hungarian Visa in the past, back when it was not a part of the Schengen system)-- they are most concerned if you have enough money to fund your trip (bank statement, bank certificate, certificate of employment indicating your monthly salary) and if you accommodations are 'legitimate'. 

I also noticed that they have a lot of questions if you have a sponsor (e.g. European boyfriend) or if there is someone hosting you there.

^Actually Italian embassy approves visa/ assess an applicant from the documents that one has passed, no interviews.

I'm not sure but why don't you give it a try? Lalo na ang haba ng cue for scheduling ngayon. May hotel bookings naman pala kayo and all, siguro mas favorable na hindi mo na lang minention na andun ang boyfriend mo. btw, italian national ba your boyfriend?
