hi. a friend based in london is asking if it would be easier to apply for schengen visa? she's a nursing assistant and her partner's a caregiver, but they're both on student visas (but are really working there and studying part-time). does anyone know how easy/ difficult it is for philippine passport holders on UK student visas to apply for schengen visa?

hi guys! question..i would like to apply for a schengen visa in france..kaso ang sabi dba kailngan ng confirmed booking..what if i'm going to book online using cathay pacific..pano un? masasayang ba un booking ko online if hindi ako maapprove kung sakali? masmura kasi sa cathay pacific lang around 900+$ round trip na..thanks!

^For Cathay Pacific online bookings you have to buy the ticket na but you can also get in touch with their reservations directly. They can send you confirmed bookings with ticket payment deadlines.

thanks! i'll try to call them..i have a question lang..nabasa ko kasi sa link na binigay ni kreez..it needs hotel vouchers..pano yun? kailngan na ba talaga yun when applying for a visa in france? or kahit confirmed booking pa lang ng flights? ty!

^If you're not staying with friends or relatives, yes you will need hotel bookings too. This will show the consul that you have a place to stay and you really are going to France as a tourist. Madali lang naman to get hotel bookings, either you do it online or thru a travel agent. If online, make sure do it direct with the hotel website so you can cancel pa. Though sometimes they have non-refundable booking fees.

No sis, once the visa has been issued ok na un even if you end up using a different hotel or a different flight... that's what happened to my aunt nung kumuha sya ng visa to visit us here in the Netherlands, nung nakuha na nya [textspeak!] visa nakakita sya ng mas murang ticket online kaya un ang kinuha nya.

^I believe what sis jeia meant is if totally hindi nagamit yung visa like di natuloy yung trip nya. The hotel or flight has no bearing at all. And to answer jeia's question, you're not using the visa granted to you now will not affect your future visa application. But be prepared lang when the consul asks you why hindi mo nagamit yung dati mong visa.

^ ay sowee, misread your question sis, uu nga in some cases, like a friend of ours due to a family emergency hindi nya nagamit visa ny, the next time she applied for a visa, the process became more rigorous, mas marami sa kanyang hininging requirements and they asked her bakit hindi nya ginamit [textspeak!] visa previously issued and when she explained that there was a family emergency, nanghingi ng proof [textspeak!] nag interview sa kanya.
