Check your Wii's region, usually shows in the box. If it's there's an indication that it's a US version, like NTSC-US, then you should be getting the same version for the games you like.

Since you bought from Autralia, im guessing it's a US version so better make sure the Wii Fit you're buying's a US version also.

hi sis, nangyari na rin sa amin to, kasi yung cousin ko, sinaksak directly yung wii sa 220, so akala namin, nasunog yung wii namin, hindi naman, nung pinatsekup namin sa greenhills, yung adapter lang ang na-fried, so bili kami ng bagong adapter.

So in your case, baka ganun din, kasi yun ang purpose ng adapter din, to protect the wii from being fried up.

Kaya ngayon, naka AVR na kami, para sure na 110v lang talaga palagi ang power.

Mga sis/bro, ang problem ko naman, kasi ngayon lang ulit namin nagamit ang wii namin, so kanina nung pinasok ko yung wii sports CD, ang sabi sa screen:

"an error occurred, please eject the disc and turn off your wii, and look for the troubleshoot for solutions"  (not exact words)

What does it mean? Does it mean sira na ang Wii sports Cd namin? Sayang naman, kasi its original, came from the bundle that my dad purchased from the US.

^SuperRicko, bro mga 6 times, ganun talaga ang lumalabas error, sabi pa naman sa troubleshoot manual eh pag ganun daw baka daw sira ang game console namin, ay ano ba, twice pa nga lang namin nagagamit, hindi naman namin nababagsak, basta nakatago lang sa cabinet.

Huwag naman sana (crossed fingers), ngayon lang kasi naeenjoy ng anak ko ang video games, dati kasi hindi niya pinapansin.

Pero bro, naaacess naman namin yung ibang channel sa wii, like yung mii channel, yung disc channel talaga ang ayaw. Thanks ha.

I suggest trying other games on your Wii to determine if it's your Wii or your Wii Sports CD. I'm crossing my fingers that it's your CD more so you won't have to spend much repairing your Wii.

I also suggest getting Wii Play. It has more sports games and it includes another Wiimote so just buy another Nunchuk so you'll have more controllers.

If ever you're buying Wii items, buy from Data Blitz. They're trustworthy and cheap.

I, too, have an issue with my Wii currently. Apparently, all Wii that was purchased in Canada has a small chance of getting a problem reading certain games, and true enough, my Super Smash Bros. BRAWL won't play anymore. So it's now back in Canada to be repaired (thanks to my cousin for taking it with him). Now I'm just doing the waiting game til I get it back this June. By that time, I'll get Indiana Jones - The Staff of Kings and Ghostbusters: The Video Game.

ricko my wii was bought in the u.s. but it has the same problem as your wii, its not only the ones bought in canada.
i read somewhere that this problem is gradual, like the wii is gradually having problems reading your brawl disc. and my theory is that the wii lens are getting dusty/dirtier and then it begins to have problems reading your dual layered brawl disc.
im not sure how many wii discs are dual layered but apparently if your lens are dirty its gonna have a problem reading dual layered discs. it says on the wii website that u have to purchase their wii cleaning thing (cleaning disc or something)..

polykarblush, Data Blitz is located in most malls around Metro Manila. Megamall, Shangri-la, Park Square 1, Power Plant, Trinoma, etc.

When you get the Wii Fit, you'll get the game and the Wii Balance Board. It looks like stepping board with sensors on it and it is a game for exercising and fitness. It even has yoga, I believe. I'm still getting one myself too. It even keeps a record of your progress. There's gonna be a new game soon called Wii Fit Plus but I'm still waiting for new details on when it will be released and what's the difference between the two.

sola_gurl, original Wii games costs around P1800 to P2500. I still strongly suggest you to not modify the Wii, though.

^^ Well, on one hand, yeah, sure, you can play any pirated Wii game you like. You won't waste your money on buying games that you thought great but it's really crappy when you play it.

On the other hand, your Wii will be subjected to risks that can and will turn your Wii into a glorified, circuit-laden, white paperweight. Updates will be needed for your Wii and having the mods won't complete the process and will render the device unusable and might as well be a paperweight on your desk.

What I suggest is just get the games that you know you'll play for a long time, even if you've finished the game. Maybe like Mario Party 8 and Super Smash Bros. BRAWL. Those are very good games for the Wii. Maybe even Guitar Hero (3, Aerosmith, Metallica, World Tour).

ricko, dude, input please. my officemate's boyfriend won a wii sports package (console included) but isn't a gamer so he's planning on selling it. box opened to check the items, but the individual pieces are sealed. us version. what's the fair market price for this?

Now, I'm actually playing on the idea of creating a mock-proton pack attachment for the Wiimote for Ghostbusters: The Video Game. Well, I don't have the game yet (YET!) but once I get the jist on the gameplay, I'll have to see what comes out of my ideas to fully experience ghostbusting.

i'm getting the husband a wii bundle from toys r us today for fathers day.  i was wondering what's the difference between nunchuk and the wii remote?  the bundle offer comes with two sets plus tennis rackets.  though the price is also a bit expensivo compared to other shops.  so i was thinking if it's worth getting both?
