That's right. An advantage of enrolling in an accredited caregiver's school is the support that they would provide, for the documentation and the reviews. I'm going to have my SPEAK test later and my school is going to give me a one on one review for it, well, for a price of course 

By the way, Kavandenhaak, how did you get those winnings as reflected here? Did you join some contest or something? Just curious...

        when are you scheduled for speaktest?  i also received a letter from the embassy for speak test but i have not called the numbers written there yet... 

        BTW, where did you take your caregiving course?  I had mine at VGB Munoz.

Hi Adel.
I'm from VGB Munoz too, batch 297. Why don't you call them tomorrow and set up a one on one interview with Ma'am Abegail on Thursday. There's a fee of P1,500 and you'd have to bring the copy of the requirements you have submitted to the embassy and the letter. I haven't called the numbers yet too but I'll do that after the one on one practice, on Thursday too probably.

hi! gudluck sa inyo lahat! i'ved been in canada for 8 years as sponsored by my dad. I never worked as a caregiver but most of my friends are. They start to work as a caregiver pero kahit may papers na sila, hindi pa rin sila nagpapalit ng work. Dahil mas nakakaipon daw (by under the table) dahil hindi nila nadedeclare lahat sa tax. Pero ako i worked in the factory, double job pa ko at lahat declare dahil gobyerno yun at d puede dayain. kaya i think mas maganda magsimula as a caregiver. I tried to work sa bahay pero hindi ako nakakatagal parang palagay ko lagi d maayos ang linis ko at kung sa elderly lady nman, madalas naiinis ako kapag makulit sila at kung sa babysitting naman natatakot ako na umiyak, d ako marunong magpatahan hehhehhehehh...

hi mga kapwa LCP applicants! nakakainggit naman ang mga posts nyo lalo na sina mavicganda, melkit at Lauren_gt...visa nalang ang hinihintay nila..ako naghihintay pa lang ako ng job order from my sister sa canada...mag two years na sha don...apparently madali lang ma-approve ang application sa HRDC dun kahit wala kang sariling bahay or sariling kuwarto for your caregiver kasi nakapagpadala ng job order yung mga kamaganak ng bayaw ko kahit nasa appartment lang sila at walang nakalaang kwarto or comfort room...ewan ko kung pano nila nagawa yun sobrang hinayang nga ang ate ko kasi sana pala 2006 palang naayos na namin ang necessary docs

nakakatakot pala ang SPEAK test (yun pa din ba hanggang ngayon?) eh 2006 pa ko natapos ng caregiver course magrereview pa pala ulit ako. nakakainspire nga ang forum na ito buti nahanap ko ito dahil kung sakaling dumating na yung job order at least may guide na ko sa pagpasa...maraming salamat sa mga nagpopost! malaki talaga ang naitutulong ninyo...good luck sa ating lahat!

Hi Adel. Yes, Nakapag one one one ako pero hindi talaga sya one on one, it's 30 on one... hehe. Hindi ko alam kung bakit 1 on 1 pa rin tawag nila. Anyway, ni review kami ni ma'am Abigail. Binigyan kami ng mga 80 pointers to review, siguro mga 15 doon and bago sa akin or hindi ako masyado familiar. From 9am-4pm yung review. Nakapag pa book na ako ng SPEAK test, sa Nov 30 ako mag te take. Ikaw? Kelan schedule mo?

sabi ng ate ko ipapadala na daw ng hrdc ang job order sa kanya sa monday. so matatanggap ko siguro yun after a month or so. salamat sa pagtulong. magtatanong na ko ngayon pa lang 

1. nung nagpasa ka ng proof of completion mo ng caregiver training did you include your transcript of records? saka nakaattend din kasi ako ng seminars at nakapagtraining din ako sa red cross...isasama ko din ba yun?
2. isinosoli ba nila yung mga docs na nirerequire nila after ma process? e.g. original records of education after highschool.
3. kung isa-submit ko ba ang transcript of records ko kailangan pa ba nila na authenticated yun ng ched?
3. paano mo nabayaran yung processing fee? i am not familiar kasi dun sa nakalagay sa requirements. kung mag-oopen ako ng account na may cheke pwede ba yun nalang ang iissue ko?

          nakapagpabook na din ako, sa november 29 ako, 12 noon sa taguig.  nakakakaba nga eh.  i was suppose to attend yung one on one daw sa VGB nung november 8 kaso di ako nakapunta, nagkameeting kami sa work eh.    palagay mo ba kailangan talaga umattend ng one on one?  Ano ba pakirmdam mo, beneficial naman ba?  advice mo naman ako sis.

SA review ni ma'am Abigail, mas marami daw na lumalabas na questions from elderly care tapos first aid, konti lang daw sa child care at home management. I-review mo lang mga notes natin. Puro practical questions daw and lalabas. Just try to express yourself in English, showing off your caregiver skills. Review ka sa choking management, proper handwashing, at ang bagong counting ngayon sa CPR ay 5 cycles in 2 minutes, so that's 30 compressions and 2 ventilations...pareho na ang CPR ng adult at child. 

Sya nga pala, i-update mo mga documents mo. For example, yung NBI clearance mo. Kung expired na 'yan, i-renew mo na tapos i-submit mo pag nag SPEAK test ka na. Check mo lahat, tingnan mo rin yung passport mo. Kung mag-eexpire na 'yan...hmmmm... sa first quarter ng 2008, mag pa renew ka na rin.

  basta review everything yung mga cregiver notes mo,,tsaka yung post dito..handwashing,elderly,food groups,flammable liquids,baby care,diets,nutrition,,very broad ang topic, mga situational din..

iba iba din naman mga questions..study well and pray hard!!

sad to say kaibigan nasunog lhat ng notes ko last jan 5 of this year. Nasusungan kase kami. kya wala akong nakuha kahit isa..

meron din first aid na book try nyo rin, kaso sa case ko yong questions sakin 1 lang andon... pero sabi nga namin ni kaibigan hindi pareho mga tanong.. kahit ako di ko lam kung san pinagkukuha yon..
after ng exam namin sabi nong nakasabay ko meron daw hindi nakasagot at nakatulala lang pero pinasa nila.. (kwento din sa kanya) sa sobrang tense siguro kaya di nakasagot.. SIGURO case to case din swertihan lang din. sabi nga kung para sayo sayo talaga 
meron din kakilala bro ko ok ang speak test nya ng pa medical na rin, ang dumating na letter REFUSED pa rin wala naman  nakalagay na reason, kahit nag punta na sa embassy wala pa din daw nangyari balita ni bro ng re apply ulit. kaya pray mga sis!!
